Once I found a mountain that had like 5 lava rivers leading from the summit. At the top? A hole, filled with lava.

Basically, caves are evil and possessed. They move parts of themselves to trap you and purposely spawn mobs in front of minerals along with lava. You will randomly light on fire, and torches won't work. There could be random signs that say, for example, HELP. These would appear 1 block above lava.

Thoughts, questions, flaming, etc.

P.S.: This is going with my not-so-posted idea of Very Hard Mode.

Also, diamond is NOT the strongest anymore. I forget what it's called, but a material recently discovered is 58% stronger than diamond.
