1All the stuff about triggering nightmares isn't true. I had a lucid dream about 5 hours ago, and looked at my hands. Yeah, they changed, but nothing happened. Looking at your hands can actually used as an induction technique. Notice the details of your hands every night, and when you go to sleep, tell yourself you will notice your hands while dreaming, see their differences from reality, and become lucid.Posted in: General Off Topic
1To clear matters up:Posted in: General Off Topic
Mirrors will NOT show you murders/disfigurations/freaky versions of yourself. It's YOUR dream, and if you think you'll see creepy stuff, you'll see creepy stuff. Sleep paralysis brings on hypnagogia, pretty much your brain experimenting with dream-scenes. If you get woken up at night and see stuff, just move or something and it'll go away. They usually aren't even coherent, just lights and stuff. While trying a WILD a few weeks ago, I saw a bright white light in a pitch-black room. (If I was smart, I would've kept going, but I moved and stopped the process :P) My sister reported everything going silver and orange.
You feel pain only when you expect to. When lucid/ everything (to me) feels like heavy anesthetic.
As a side note, while falling asleep, do not ask to be shown anything. Trust me.
0Just remember that it's your dream and you can do what you want. Yell to your dream, "No nausea pls" and you'll get it.Posted in: General Off Topic
0Oh, and don't forget flying, summoning, and your sub.Posted in: General Off Topic
Really easy, I did it my first time. Jump up and fly, or imagine wings, or teleport. Any one will work.
Reach behind your back and imagine something there. When you pull your arm back, you'll have what you imagined. Pull dynamite or diamonds, whatever you want.
Occasionally, your subconscious will take on a dream form in your LD. They can provide insight towards your life, as well as insight towards others. And NEVER ask what your worst fear is, unless asking for it to be said and not shown. Otherwise...
1A lucid dream is any dream in which the dreamer is conscious (i.e. aware of the dream and that s/he is dreaming). While lucid dreaming, it is possible to fly, summon whatever you want, change the landscape, and more. They can be great fun as well as providing insight to your unconscious, or uncontrollable, mind.Posted in: General Off Topic
How to induce a lucid dream:
WILD (Wake-Initiated Lucid Dream)
1.Lie in a comfy position.
2. Start imagining your muscles untensing.
3. Count your breaths on the inhale and on the exhale think "I'm dreaming." Don't just say it-picture it. To accelerate this, imagine a scene and attempt to control it. If it collapses, do it again.
4. Once you get to about 100 or so, you'll be
b. feeling a "wave of energy"
c. feeling as if your foot went to sleep, but across your entire body.
Any and all combinations will do. What these mean is that your mind is going "wtf we must have fallen asleep or something" and shutting down muscles, eventually entering a dream. If you are successful, you will find yourself in a dream, fully aware (or lucid) and able to control your dream.
