when I click on the .exe, then try to press "Setup" the button clicks, but then the program doesn't recognize it or something like that, and then the program basicaly freezes, as I cannot click on anything else to work. But I can still click on anything else before i click on "Setup" and still work fine.
I'm having a similar problem. I upgraded to 1.5.1 and now when I run MagicLauncher and click the CONFIGURE button, the program locks up. I got it to work by switching to the default profile, but if I try to switch back to my named profile, it also locks up.
Where does MagicLauncher store its settings? Maybe if I just delete that file and start over it would work?
Your latest smooth stone and dirt textures are fantastic. Just enough relief to give them a nice solid feel, without looking all segmented like gravel or cobblestone. And they tile very, very well. I also like how the dirt has a faint vertical grain while the smooth stone has a slight horizontal grain. And that grass was definitely worth all the tedious work.
I like the direction you're going with the cobblestone. It doesn't tile nearly as well as your previous one, but judging from how well you do with all your other textures, I'm guessing you knew that already.
Thanks again for all your great work on this pack and for sharing it with us.
Just want to thank you for all your hard work on this Ovo and sharing it with us. You've added some really nice artwork to my Minecraft and I greatly appreciate it.
I'm disappointed you aren't going to continue working on it, but I respect your decision. I'd hate for you to force yourself to keep working on this if you weren't finding it rewarding.
I hope you find some great, rewarding outlets for your artistic talent. Thanks again.
So...what...just randomly change the seed until the ice starts melting in the areas where I don't want it? Sounds dangerous. Is the seed used for anything else in existing terrain besides determining which areas are snowy (or ugly swampy)?
Like many people, I have an older map with a home that was surrounded by waterways which, with the new biomes, are now frozen over and the landscape covered with snow.
Are there any mods or ways to edit the level.dat to reverse this sudden ice age?
It's such a shame. I think the amazing terrain and cavern generation system was Notch’s #1 most brilliant accomplishment with Minecraft. It needed some tweaking with the biomes, but he just sort of fiddled with some half-baked new features and walked away, leaving it worse than what he started with. It's really sad that he had something so great and just defaced it this way.
Anyone remember he was rightly so proud of a year ago?
As I've said before, I'm really looking forward to seeing more of your tools. The ones you've done so far are about the best I've seen in Minecraft. Lots of people make tools that look beautiful in your inventory but not very good when held in your hand. Your tools, the pickaxes and swords especially, look great when you hold them in the game. A lot of it is how you got the blocky pixelated edges to line up all straight and even.
You've also done a particularly nice-looking arrow that makes me eager to see it in a bow.
Any chance you'd want to do clubs for the stone and wood swords? I always think it looks cool when texture pack artists do that.
When I was trying to use a 64x texture pack with 1.8.1 patched with MCPatcher, it was crashing constantly with Out Of Memory errors.
I've switched to the latest OptiFine and the Out Of Memory problem has completely gone away. That in addition to a much better and smoother framerate. So it's a big success for me. Thanks.
I'm seeing the white spider issue (might that be fixed if I switched to a lower res spider texture?)
I'm also getting the flickering around the edges of non-block objects like flowers and ladders and minecart tracks. (On preview, it looks like this is the same issue others are reporting having to do with transparancy.)
Again, thanks for your work on this. I hope Notch can do this well when he stops adding features and focuses on optimization.
i think u should finish all the items like stone tools.
One of Ovo's recent updates added stone and wood tool. Did he not include them in this latest version?
Ovo's tools look fantastic, especially the sword and the pick. I hope he eventually does all the items. (His arrow looks so good it really needs a bow to go with it!) But I'm happy for him to focus on the main terrain textures first.

I hope you'll do some cloth armor as well.

It's free and it's lots of fun. Give it a try, if your computer's up for it.
