-IC (In character)-
Appearance: Rulendil stands a strong 7'5, almost always having donned his Mithril suit of armor, a spoil of war (And approved by Dad), his trusty Adamantium longsword, and an elven shield of the same material, all three polished to a shine, prominently displayed but rarely used. Like all Altmer, Rulendil's skin is a dull golden yellow, his eyebrows and ears pointed and his face overall more angular and long than a human's. He has short silvery-white hair, kept cut close to his head, along with a similarly colored goatee. His eyes are a dark auburn color, only slightly darker than his own skin tone, having wrinkles around them and on other locations of his face to show his age.
Personality: With age and experience, Rulendil has become tempered. Much like with military strategies throughout the years, he has remained with a steady hand through all experiences, never truly ecstatic or depressed, a stolid defender of his Dominion.
Abilities (Magic and Skills):
- Years of military experience, over 500.
- Minor knowledge of Restoration spells (Self-healing only, meant to be weak if even allowed)
Backstory: Rulendil has seen much in his many many years on Nirn. The terror that is the Numidum decimated his parents. Daedra during the Oblivion Crisis tore his brother to shreds deep in the bowels of the Deadlands. Despite all this, he stood firm and remained in the ranks of the Dominion, through its destruction and reformation.
His career began during the time when the Camoran Dynasty was threatened by a faction of Bosmer who wished the throne to go to another. Calling a century old treaty to light, an army was sent in, with one of the younger officers being Rulendil. Peace was kept after invading Colovian forces were removed, bringing the beginning of the Second Aldmeri Dominion.
Further action was seen when Tiber Septim began his conquest of Tamriel. Rulendil was able to aid in putting up a formidable fight, though none could stand up to the might of the Numidium, his forces retreating while many others could not escape the bloodshed. So ended another Dominion.
Fast forward to the Oblivion Crisis, when Rulendil was simply a guard captain, with the aid of the remergent Thalmor he was able to protect his city and destroy the portal, leading to his command over large forces and a hand in nobility. This was not to last however, just as the previous Dominion.
The Great War's most devastating battle was devastating for Rulendil just as much as it was for the Dominion. At the decisive Battle of the Red Ring, Rulendil controlled many forces, all of which were completely slaughtered. Returning home after a humiliating defeat, he was stripped of many of his titles and removed from power.
Even after this, he still refused to cease working for the Dominion, finding his place in Anvil alongside some diplomats...
