    -OOC (Out of character)-

    Minecraft Username: UofMTigerFan

    Age: 19

Past experience with roleplay: A lot. A lot of a lot.

What is “Meta-gaming”?: Meta is where you use an OOC source of information ICly when it has not been obtained yet.

What is “Power-gaming”?: Forcing an action upon a person, something along the lines of "Timmy is shot in the face before he can react by me."

    -IC (In character)-

    Name: Rulendil

    Age: 679

    Race: Altmer

Appearance: Rulendil stands a strong 7'5, almost always having donned his Mithril suit of armor, a spoil of war (And approved by Dad), his trusty Adamantium longsword, and an elven shield of the same material, all three polished to a shine, prominently displayed but rarely used. Like all Altmer, Rulendil's skin is a dull golden yellow, his eyebrows and ears pointed and his face overall more angular and long than a human's. He has short silvery-white hair, kept cut close to his head, along with a similarly colored goatee. His eyes are a dark auburn color, only slightly darker than his own skin tone, having wrinkles around them and on other locations of his face to show his age.

Personality: With age and experience, Rulendil has become tempered. Much like with military strategies throughout the years, he has remained with a steady hand through all experiences, never truly ecstatic or depressed, a stolid defender of his Dominion.

    Abilities (Magic and Skills):
    - Years of military experience, over 500.
    - Minor knowledge of Restoration spells (Self-healing only, meant to be weak if even allowed)

Backstory: Rulendil has seen much in his many many years on Nirn. The terror that is the Numidum decimated his parents. Daedra during the Oblivion Crisis tore his brother to shreds deep in the bowels of the Deadlands. Despite all this, he stood firm and remained in the ranks of the Dominion, through its destruction and reformation.

His career began during the time when the Camoran Dynasty was threatened by a faction of Bosmer who wished the throne to go to another. Calling a century old treaty to light, an army was sent in, with one of the younger officers being Rulendil. Peace was kept after invading Colovian forces were removed, bringing the beginning of the Second Aldmeri Dominion.

Further action was seen when Tiber Septim began his conquest of Tamriel. Rulendil was able to aid in putting up a formidable fight, though none could stand up to the might of the Numidium, his forces retreating while many others could not escape the bloodshed. So ended another Dominion.

Fast forward to the Oblivion Crisis, when Rulendil was simply a guard captain, with the aid of the remergent Thalmor he was able to protect his city and destroy the portal, leading to his command over large forces and a hand in nobility. This was not to last however, just as the previous Dominion.

The Great War's most devastating battle was devastating for Rulendil just as much as it was for the Dominion. At the decisive Battle of the Red Ring, Rulendil controlled many forces, all of which were completely slaughtered. Returning home after a humiliating defeat, he was stripped of many of his titles and removed from power.

Even after this, he still refused to cease working for the Dominion, finding his place in Anvil alongside some diplomats...

Server ain't dead, in fact we're searching for specific roles that would be greatly helpful to the server if we can get them! An interior designer for one, one who knows how to use various mods such as Carpenter Blocks and other furniture mods would be appreciated, along with that we are in desperate need of a resource pack artist/editor. The resource pack editor is what we need most, because with the many mods that are being added, the server will have many textures in need of being filled. Please apply!

    ----IC Info----
    -Character name: Jacob Silverblood

    -Character race: Human

    -Character age: 29

    -Character Occupation: Mercenary/Sell Sword

-Character description (At least one to two paragraphs describing your character’s visual appearance.): Jacob is a burly and rather hairy man, standing around 6'3. The mercenary has rather unkempt dark brown hair, the same with his bushy beard. His face has a light tan to it, from often being outside, but he has generally fair skin. His eyes are a dark brown to match his eyes, if not a bit darker. His body is quite toned and holds a few scars from fighting the Pact or bandits, most of those are on his arms and not near the vital organs inside of his chest or on his head.

-Character personality and traits (At least one to two paragraphs describing their personality traits and/or quirks.): Jacob generally acts as if he's a nice person, trying to defend the good people and using his mercenary work as a way of bettering the Alliance and himself, but in truth he has rather underhanded motives. He isn't evil when it comes to these, even if people find out his true motives it's not like he wants to hurt anyone. He just wants to be able to profit. A lot. All in all he's a good guy, likes kids, pays his taxes, and is a blast to have a drink with as long as he's not buying.

-Character biography (At least three paragraphs describing your character's history and experiences): Jacob, like many others, lost much when the Alliance was pushed far, far back. His family once had a rather large mercenary company, usually they worked in things that the guard had no jurisdiction on or simply saw as either too dangerous or too far out for them to deal with, or perhaps even a bit...at odds with the law. Still, the company was destroyed, scattered apart and slaughtered for the most part when trying to defend cities and townships.

The Silverblood family struggled to grow back in strength. Jacob's mother, Helane, had to become a barmaid due to the fact that she couldn't rely on the company to support her family while the father, Gerald, had to recover from his wounds sustained. The man couldn't fight any more, not since he took serious wounds to his legs, preventing the man from being able to run or walk properly. That finally told Jacob that he needed to start picking up his sword and earning a living. The boy had been soft when young, suckling at the teat of the riches so readily available to him, never having lifted a finger to fight a day in his life. No one could afford to live that way any longer however. Taking up his father's armor, blade, and shield, Jacob set out to train himself by taking on a nearby group of bandits...that didn't quite end well, with the young Silverblood being rather badly scratched up at the end, not having killed a single bandit, yet this didn't stop him.

Years passed and Jacob continued to train on bandits or by offering his services with the name Silverblood behind it. Many were drawn to the illustrious name and it's connotation of success, but it quickly lost it's luster during Jacob's early years gathering what gold he could scrape by. Still, over time he finally was well enough trained and with a stable...enough life that he felt he could finally start to build the life he once had. But they would need more than just silver and blood this time. This time they would be diamonds.

-Please give us a short RP response to these two scenarios. (At least one paragraph for each):

You’re walking around the markets at around noon. There’s a lot of people around you, still gathering their items as they prepare to shut down their many stands. Suddenly you feel a gentle lifting of your coin purse as a child graces you and soon after they take off sprinting. You have been robbed.

Jacob lets out a low sigh as he feels the sudden lightness at his hip. That's been rather common and even something he had once considered, not that his family would ever let him do such a thing. Spotting the child running, Jacob shakes his head and runs right on after, not touching his blade however. Surely a big man in armor would easily be enough to threaten the child into giving it back, or at least scare him into dropping it. Plus the man can keep up and overtake him due to how athletic he is. Once reaching the boy, he goes to push him against one of the walls with a sigh. "Give me the gold back, I really don't want to hurt you...and if you do, I'll buy you a sweetroll."

You’re heading back to the city through the woods when you hear a whining coming from nearby. Upon further investigation you come across a grey-colored wolf that appears to have its leg caught in a bear trap. Around it is three smaller lumps of fur, obviously puppies belonging to the trapped mother. Without help, they’ll all die, but wolf skins are quite valuable too, not to mention that the nearby farms suffer quite a bit from the wolf population.

Jacob pauses at seeing this, a faint grin crossing his face. He chuckles and walks over towards the small furballs of the puppies, going to scoop up the pups. They could be trained perhaps, valuable as guard dogs. Diamond dogs. Though the mother couldn't quite be trained, too old and likely damaged from the bear trap. Setting the puppies down a small distance away, Jacob returns and sighs, drawing his blade and swiftly striking down the mother as painlessly as possible before drawing a skinning knife, taking it's pelt and slinging it over his shoulder and returning for the pups, carrying it all back to town.

Alright.. I'm not sure how many terminals you would consider to be too many then, am I going to have to completely revise the back story? because it seems like if a wealthy bank couldn't have even a few terminals then I would probably have to take out the part about the gangers having terminals, or even Joe having a couple terminals. Am I even going to be able to have a character with experience with terminals if they are so rare? I'm not sure if you misinterpreted the banks as absolutely swimming in terminals? or if you may have thought I meant to say that every citizen had their own terminal?

are the networks considered too advanced?

I really don't want to have to absolutely rebuild this story from the ground up after all the time and effort I put into it.

Ah, I just thought you meant every single person had a terminal to hold onto money. Either way, I still feel that making it more of a...solid currency would be better. Perhaps using actual dollar bills would be better? Just a suggestion is all.

Hey there Killington, sorry for the wait. Was getting ready for a new job and my whitelisters poofed.

Well the OOC section and the IC is fine until you reach the backstory. You aren't really supposed to be from places like Vault 101 or do quests that were in the games themselves, it's better to make a character who interacts with the world in a way that you can't do in the games. It's fine to still be from D.C., but it's better to have a reasoning to go to New York City. Until that's changed, you are unfortunately...

    Alright, no problem.

I suppose I can see where your coming from.

I think you may have interpreted the credits system as being more advanced than it was, I should have elaborated.

The credit system was just that banks would record account balances on a set of terminals, if thats still too advanced than its fine.

You didn't specify about the mechanical arm so whats the verdict on that?

Thank you for the constructive criticism.

Ah, that would make a lot more sense, but still the fact that people would have enough terminals around is a bit too much. The mechanical arm is also a no, just as one that's able to be controlled isn't something people without access to extremely high level tech could do. Again, I'm sorry for the long wait you had to deal with.

Hey there Medical, I'll be whitelisting you today.

Your OOC section is fine, but in the backstory it seems you need a bit of brushing up on Fallout lore. Being born in a Vault is fine, but the war is long over after that so he couldn't have been drafted. Also, the backstory is just simply so short. Could you perhaps expand on it some more? Until those are met, you are unfortunately...

I see that your two applications are linked, so I'll take care of yours at the same time...also I apologize for the huge wait. I had just started work and the rest of my whitelisters disappeared, but I'll take care of you now.

This is quite well written, I can see that you put a lot of work into your applications, however...as expected, the cat thing is a little too much, but there are a few more issues that I have with all of this unfortunately that I'd like you to change. Your version of Toronto is a bit too advanced scientifically. The only people who had actually made advances in the past were the Enclave and they had all that extremely powerful pre-war tech. Things like gene splicing, the ghoulification...'fix', and the electronic credits system is just too advanced for fallout in the opinion of the staff and we've already had to disallow gene splicing for others in the past. If you could try to just make it more...primitive, that would be perfect and you'll be accepted, but until then you are...

I would really love to be a part of this server, would it just be best for me to write a new application. Because I will do it if need to be to become a part of the RP.

Sorry if I came of as offensive, I was just a little heated from the situation.

Thank you for the apology, that really does mean a lot.

It may be the best to write a new one, but that's your decision. The details that need changing aren't too big compared to some, though if you want a different character that's fine by me.

The other mod that took a look at my app and said everything was in order except for one small detail, I fixed that and now you tell me that there are multiple problems. I'm at a loss on what mod's advice to follow.

I looked at Mythosaur's review and he didn't even look over a few key sports of your application that my whitelist team is meant to look at. He's an admin, not a whitelister and was trying to ease the load whilst I was busy, so he didn't know to check those areas or he was in a rush. I'm sorry that you thought you would have been done quickly, but we're trying to have a high level of quality.

Sorry for the wait, Gavadi. I'm now back to doing applications, so I'll get you right now.

There's only one issue with the OOC area, which is your powergaming definition. Check some accepted applications for their definitions before you try to fix it. Beyond that, the application looks good! So until you fix that one small detail, you are unfortunately...

Starting off in the OOC section, I'd have to say that the powergaming definition is incorrect. I'd like you to look at another accepted application to get an idea of what our version of powergaming is.

There's a few issues with the IC section as well. Where did he find this kangaroo leather for his jacket? As far as I know, there's not a single kangaroo that would've survived the nuclear apocalypse and it also isn't mentioned in the backstory.

Speaking of the backstory, where was Vault 155 located? Why did it have firearm and battlefield training? The only firearm training that a Vaultie could have would be as a guard and that would be only really how to be non-lethal. Also, after those people nursed him back to health, did he just happen to wander towards New York or did he hear of it from the group that was nursing him? Until these are fixed, you are unfortunately...
