    Okay, good to know it got figured out. Bit strange that optifine can't handle it. Here's a totally transparent version of the default glass, though, drop that in your resourcepack and overwrite the old, and see if that fixes the problem so you can use both.

    Oh man, above and beyond! Renammed it, dropped it in, worked perfectly. What's odd is the model in your hand was always ok even before this fix, it's simply when placed as a block in the world that it became opaque. But it's all perfect now, glass is now glass! Even regular glass panes are fixed too. Thank you so much for this.

I did that because I figure most people are going to be using stained glass decoratively and I wanted strong colors, which I wasn't getting when I had weak transparency. Here's a screenshot of what my texture test world looks like at the glass wall... you can see stuff behind it (I put a bunch of trees up to make sure) but the overall intent was for the color to stand out, not for it to function like window glass.     What it might be is that the regular clear glass isn't actually 100% clear. There was some nasty pixelation going on, so I made the glass layer 5% visible. The human eye can't tell the difference, but it fixed the rendering issues that were very visible before I added the glass in. If you're not on the current version of Minecraft or using a mod, it might not be able to handle translucency on the default glass and be filling in those pixels as opaque instead.


    You are a 100 million % correct. For some reason optifine was doing that. Weird. Excuse me then! Now to figure out what to do then.. optifine fixes my fps but it does exactly what you said, it doesn't handle the translucency well which is why normal glass appears opaque then. I tried MC without optifine and it appears exactly as you've shown tho, so this was my end.

    Atleast now I know it's my fault! Sorry about that and keep up the good work, I love this pack and I guess sacrificing optifine is a small price.

    Now I love this pack, but I have a question, will glass ever be transparent? Or is this my game some how? The most transparent glass block is the black one. Normal glass and all panes are pretty much solid.


    Not the best screenshot but the opaque one is normal glass, the one next to it is black and then pink. Its hard to build with glass cause you just cant see through it. I adore everything else but this is killing me and Im not sure if this is me or just the resource pack.


    Edit: I enjoy the look of the glass you originally had. And I can confirm I'm using optifine if that somehow makes a difference, and if it does I'm sorry. It's just been bugging me for a few days now to have glass that isnt.. transparent and thus not really glass.

    Im having this error with all your packs... Then I alt tabbed and now its gone away.. But it only ever happened when glancing from that direction. Hrm..



    Well umm.. maybe ignore? Im not sure. Now that I cant reproduce it but I have photo evidene, Im unsure if its really an error or not anymore?

    posted a message on Tips for proper custom world generation?
    Not sure where this should go to be honest, I figured here was safest bet. I want to play around with custom world gen. Essentially I want something with massive mountains and ravines, with ore spawn in a proper rate to account for the fact that I'm probably going to start above the cloud level and thus not be traveling too far down too quickly.



    But I also want giant oceans. Both for the templessand cause it could be kinda cool to have something like an ocean feeding to a river that cuts a path between two massive mountains.



    Im unsure the best way to go about messing with the custom world gen though to get what I want. I also want to kind of make sure that there is potential for other biomes/etc to spawn. So I can have a source of sand/clay, even if it means traveling a way to get everything I need.



    I just find my main problem, in my mind, to be that if I'm at lv100+, with a normal ore gen it'll suck a noogie and a half to get anything. Not massively different ore gen, but perhaps like stretched out so each level reaches out in a normal way to accomodate the larger map size.

    posted a message on Setting up an automatic world border?
    Not sure exactly where to put this. But after watching some streamers, I wanted to try just a vanilla game for once, no mods or anything. The world border idea is what intrigued me but I have no idea how to go about it. From what I saw, I wanted to try the same as my own personal experience. Aka starting a single player world while only having say, having a large world bordered off area. 500 blocks? Whatever is good enough for one day. That expands slowly. like one block everyday or so. Seems like an interesting thing to just try. Something to make me want to try survival and vanilla again. Ive been getting bored of mods.

    Blaze, I had the same problem. Its because you dont have IC2 Im assuming? Cause thats what caused my error. Which is weird that 1.7.10 would have an IC2 dependency unless Im reading the error wrong, but I havent found anyone who reported this error or knows how to fix it.

    I have a mildly.. dumb question. Under the config for your weather mod. What exactly is block destruction? Cause destruction sounds like creeper destruction. But I'm thinking it simply means that your tornados and what not will simply go around blocks and not pick them up? Im just trying to decide how I want to configure this mod since Ive never used it before. I love the idea of tornados and I absolutely love weather. Let it rain all day if that were somehow possible.



    But to then have the entire terrain get flattened is sorta saddening. So Im trying to figure out if this option lets me have tornados and what not without the destruction to the world. You wanna throw me? Fine. But keep my redwoods! ;;

    Just figured Id mention. For some reason, your leaves can see through the world on 1.7.10 with BoP. Just tried to see how this works on 1.7.10 and all the leaves on trees show me like an xray through the world.

    Weird error. Its calling for IC2 and giving me an error but I dont have ic2 soo... =( Is my only option to just not use any of these mods if I dont want IC2? I only have Microblocks, Anchors, and Liquid XP. Ofcourse the game loads without Core but then I get the core not found error. But when I put in the core I get this IC2 error. No idea what to do. I do not have IC2.

    I wont download just yet, but.. maybe a bit of a large idea. You could add in a small cave generation type thing to the world if its in your scope? Use quartz as the idea for it. Ya know a small dome type cave that spawns very rarely in the world. Quartz pillars, flooring, with 1-3 or whateve number of faeries just floating around in it ready for bottling. Could be a rare very world gen type thing like fairy grottos.



    Dunno if that is possible but seems like an idea.Like one low spawn per x amount of chunks.

    Just a suggestion. But shouldnt the topic be updated with a 1.7.10 tag now? Dunno how its done but seeing it with only a 1.7.2 tag might make potential users skip over it if thrye like me and filtering by tags.
