i do agree, that a few things were changed for worse, such as removing roses, changing clay and sand ocean floors to pure gravel, and a bit of lack of balance, but you really can't say it was all bad. We got stained glass, more interesting fishing, old boat controls, nice looking biomes, nice flowers, improved maps etc. and as for complete opposite, they added biomes. What else did you expect from a biome update?
As for the OP's question, changing the sea beds, so we can't find as much clay.
