It's been awhile since I've been on the Forums.
I wanted everyone to know that as of the recent improvements of Minecraft's Id coding, this suggestion is totally possible now!
Let's get Mojang's attention to this idea, perhaps we could get it for 1.8!

Thing thing I'm wondering is... Why haven't the added this yet? Oh yeah, because of how many textures they would have to make plus how many item IDs I think this will use. I'm still a little confused on how item IDs work but the main thing is just how long this would take with only a few texture artists who are doing their work on the stuff Mojang has been working on recently. Plus they jsut added 2 new kinds of wood so... Dear God at the textures they have to make...
They only have to make maybe around 8 textures. All other items are just remaps of the wood texture.
Here's a list of textures that would need to be made...
- Doors: 5 textures
- Trapdoors: 5 Textures
- Book Shelves: 5 Textures
- Chests: 5 Textures
- Crafting Tables: 5 Textures
- Trapped Chests: 5 Textures
- Total: 30 Textures
Apr 2, 2014I know this is a bump, but we need some Redditors to start getting my Reddit topic running, because I no longer use MC Forums as my main source of suggestions.Posted in: Suggestions
Apr 2, 2014I'm sorry to say that this is a leaving.Posted in: General Off Topic
I've gotten sick of the over bias and overemotional responses to features added in every snapshot.
"OMG there's nothing but bug fixes in teh snapshot! MOJANG IS SOOO LAZY!"
"Iron farms are so ovapowered!" *irons farms get nerfed* "OMG WHY DID THEY FIX THE IRON FAWMS?!!"
I'm sick of it.
After joining the Reddit community, I've noticed much more reliability in opinions.
Good opinions get seen while bad ones fall to oblivion.
I still will update my Suggestion topics and respond to comments on them, but I will no longer be participating any other topics or posting anymore.
Goodbye, it's been fun.

You realize, that's a shader, and shaders aren't graphically friendly.

That is irrelevant. Horses do not have a tame identifying mark other than their addons; wolves do not need them either.
It also gives some incentive to use leather (which is a bit of a useless item) so that you can identify which wolf is yours.
Though I don't think I'll decide that its necessary to remove the current collars for my idea to be implemented.
Mar 21, 2014Posted in: SuggestionsQuote from Deonyi
Why not just remove the existing collar? Redundancy is not a good gameplay idea; it leads to confusion.
Because the existing collar is what identifies a wolf as a tamed wolf.
Its sitting position and hardly different texture are the only things that make it look different from a regular wolf.
Unless you mean just removing the current collar coloring system, which that is fine.
Not to mention, I added the medal/tag part of the collar so it would be different from a regular collar.

Idk about ocellots, maybe a seperate version for them, but other than tht FULL SUPPORT! WOOF!
A separate versions would be redundant.
They both wear collars and this is a collar.
I think the item should be called just a "collar" from now on.

A really good boost for Wolves I can say. Armour would be cool, but that is not for now. I support!
As cool as armor would sound, most armor in Minecraft, other than gold armor, has been placed at sort of a realistic standard.
Armour is never really used on dogs because
1. Not a lot of dogs would really bear the weight
2. It would slow down the dogs by a lot
3. It would most likely limit their ability to attack

Will a version for Ocelots also be available?
Other than that, this is a great idea!
The only problem is that ocelots can't attack, so the enchantments wouldn't be very useful, but sure.
Mar 20, 2014A few updated ago (Although most have forgotten) we got dyeable collars for our dogs. Then, we recently got name tags so we can name our dogs. It can't get any better, can it?Posted in: Suggestions
Collars are a simple item crafted like so...
Collars will be a new mechanic added to tamed wolves, aka dogs.
Once tamed, a dog will still have a collar like it does now, but if you shift + R Click on your dog a menu will come up, similar to a horse, where you can place a crafted collars.
Crafted collars are brown at basic, but can be dyed to current collar colors. On a dog, they will have a medal/tag unlike a normal collar.
But what exactly will be special about these collars?
Unlike a normal collar, which is just a small detail on your dogs, this collar can be enchanted.
All dogs are rather basic, and none are different from each other, but this would add some upgrades to your dogs. Unlike normal enchantments, the enchanting will be some what limited.
When placed on dogs, enchanted collars will appear with an enchanted glow like all armor does.
These collars will have 2 unique enchantments.
These are the enchantments.
Thorns: Obtained at levels 9 - 30. Only can get up to II.
All Types of Protection: Obtained at levels 1-30. Only can get up to II.
Fangs: Obtained at levels 9 - 30. Increases damage dealt by 1.50 points. Only can get up to III.
Speed:Obtained at levels 14 - 30. Increases speed by 20%. Only can get up to II.
The problem with name tags is that they're really hard to obtain. But if they were easy to obtain you could make as many entities undespawnable as you wanted. Collars can be renamed and placed on dogs to give them a name. Since they can only go on dogs, and since dogs can't despawn anyway, this would be no problem.
Since cats don't really have collars like dogs, it would be nice to also use these collars on cats. Unlike dogs, cats won't have a menu to place the collar, instead you just right click the cat with a collar in hand. Enchantments won't work on cats , since they don't really attack anything.

Aug 1, 2013Two spelunkers were exploring the caves of Youtube. When they reached the deepest, oddest, part of the YouTube caves, they sunk their pick shovels into the ground. Lo and behold, they found a video, but not any ordinary video; a video called "Burgers [Minecraft Animation]", in the deepest parts of the weird side of Youtube.Posted in: News

This has got to be one of the worst/hilarious law suits I have seen.
I've seen more hilarious, but this is even more hilarious than the dumb Uniloc patent Mojang broke last year, because 'Mindcraft' accessed data on android phones.
Jul 11, 2013Those videos aren't even Mojang's! They can't sue if they're trying to sue third party material that they claim to be 1st party.Posted in: NewsQuote from marineberryy
Careful. You'll get sued for saying that!

Isn't Microsoft's contract running out soon? I read a post by Jeb that said when the contract runs out, they will highly consider other consoles. I would like to play MC on a console, but not on that -box one. I was going to decide at E3, and I decided PS4. So I hope they will make a PS4 version. Mojang will get more money that way.
Yeah, but I'm sure once the contract with Microfsoft runs out, the contract will come barreling right back into the Mojang office to be renewed.

They sound like Squidward making awkward noises with his noise while laughing or mocking.
They make me think of how squidward's laugh sounded like in the episode "JellyFishing" when he was in bandages.

Great, you took a week to add a few new sounds and fix a few bugs. You'd think that a game as huge as Minecraft would get a little more content without horribly long periods between updates (not to mention that Mojang has millions of dollars to hire more employees).
People like you frustrate me.
Everyone's like "GIVE US STUFFZ! WE NEED MAR STUFFZ IN MEINCRAFT!!!!"
Then they do that and then everyone's like "STAP IT WITH ALL THE STUFFZ! WE NEED MORE OPTIMIZATIONS!!! MOAR BUGFIXES!!!"
Then they do that and everyone's like"GIVE US STUFFZ! WE NEED MAR STUFFZ IN MEINCRAFT!!!! STOP DA BUGFIXES!!!"
You people just can't be satisfied can you?

Oh btw a watermelon is as dense as a human skull!!! Meaning if you used one of those in the zombie apocolypse, (which is more real than you possible could think. You would be as effective as a monster truck ramming the zombies down...
Of course, I should try not to kill the zombie villagers. I should revive them.
