posted a message on Help designing a redstone circuit
I'm presuming you're moderately proficient at redstone and don't need a guide to logic gates ect. Here's what I'd do:

3. Connect input 1 to output A.
4. Connect input 1 to a NOT gate, followed by an AND gate. Connect the AND gate to output B.
5. Connect input 2 to an RS-NOR latch, and connect the output of the latch to the other input of the AND gate.
6. Connect input 1 to the reset of the RS-NOR latch.

I'm pretty sure that there are mods that can make the clouds go higher, or get rid of them altogether.

The nether can be a good way to go places quickly, albeit dangerous. Also if you put a set of signs or pressure plates after the water source runs out, then put some more source blocks afterwards, you can keep the water flowing without losing elevation.
Example:

Key:
= Source block = Flowing Water = Pressure Plate / sign

posted a message on [Search][Redstone] Pressure Plates & Repeaters
Okay, I've worked out the first one. Put torches on the sides of the pressure plates, then connect each torch to an inverter. Connect the two pairs of inverters together with an OR gate. Then, connect one of the OR gates to an AND gate, and the other to a monostable (RS-NOR latch with a repeater chain to reset it) . Invert the output and connect that up to the AND gate. This will make it so that when passing from one direction, the monostable will be on, so the AND gate won't output power when the other pressure plate is stood on. From the other way, The AND gate will be true because you haven't activated the monostable yet - making the output turn on.

I have an idea on how you could do it, but you would have to either have to have the torches on the sides of the blocks (you could cover this up if you were in a corridor) or have a gap between the two rows of pressure plates.

posted a message on skin issues
When you change the char.png in the minecraft.jar, you are changing the default skin. To change your skin so it works for multiplayer, go to the minecraft website and log in, then go to profile. You can upload a skin there, and it will work for SMP. Everyone who hasn't done this will have the skin you put in the minecraft.jar.
Hope this helps!

posted a message on Minecart no longer pushed by water

I was going to build an automated minecart transit system similar to what I saw on youtube that was controlled by water pushing minecarts to time them I see that since one of the updates minecarts are no longer pushed by water. Anyone know if this was a bug that got fixed or this not working is due to a bug making it not work. I tried playing around with 5 clock repeaters as I wanted ti to start whenever I load the game but the 5 clock operates too fast. I want more of a 20 second delay before the repeater activates the booster track releasing a minecart into the transit system.

Are you sure it wasn't a boat that was being pushed around? I can't remember any that shove a minecart around, but I do remember one that pushes a boat around.

No, minecarts definitely used to be pushed by water - I've tried it myself before. The minecraft wiki states that it's a bug that they can't be pushed.

I've just bought a bedrock server and it won't let me connect to it. I hope that I get a response to the ticket I sent soon, but from the responses I've seen, I won't get my hopes up. :/

The repeaters should create a loop supplying power (They should point in the right direction too!)
Give them a tiny delay.

Wouldn't work - the redstone has to be pointing at the repeater. Try this...

If the repeaters are set to one, it should act as a latch and not a repeater.

I've made a minecart room for Escapecraft 1 where you have to quickly press buttons to get a minecart onto a pressure plate. The link is here:
