I must say, that I fully agree with this thread. I've always found the 'haspaid' stupid, meaningless, and Off-topic, and have always punished them accordingly. Hopefully people will read this and understand what they did wrong.
However, as mentioned already, this could have been said in a much nicer tone, without making it seem like you're insulting everybody elses intelligence.
90 Days to be exact. But as LightWarrior said, they do remain on your record forever, but are not deemed as 'active' warnings.
We don't do this because we don't forgive people who have broken rules. Quite the contrary, many mods have had 1, 2 or 3 warnings in the past.
Warnings staying on is more of a way to see what mistakes you've done in the past, and if you've repeated the same mistake twice, we will punish more harshly.
I am a great appreciator of Fan Art, but this isn't really anything...
You just copied and pasted Obama's face onto a screenshot. This will probably incite more Spam/Flaming then it will any useful discussion (Which there isn't any value for it to begin in the first place)
I'd just like to pop in here, go on a slight tangent, and remind everyone why a blacklist method would be ineffective for this kind of thing, especially because of the way the Spammers are doing their... spamming.. I'm not saying that the other ideas aren't valid, just Blacklisting isn't an option.
Blacklists are used as a prevention method, if you know the site that the spammers will attack from, thus not allowing them to come on. However these spammers change site every-time they attack, leaving a blacklist useless.
By the time the admins are noted of the new 'attacking site' and are able to add it to the blacklist, many people would have already been 'attack'.
This renders blacklisting useless. It's better for us to maintain our grip on trust sites at the moment.
Seems I was also very rash about the decision of un-locking the thread. This forum does have a chain of command, and I never followed it when opening this thread. Sorry to bring your hopes up.
As it happens, there was lack of communication in the reason why this thread was locked, but I also never asked/never waited for a reply, and thus contributed to the miss-communication.
So... yeh...
This thread will be locked until a general consensus is reached :smile.gif:

Holy crap, that's sweet. I'm definitely using that sometime. You should definitely include this in your 'Tips and Tricks' guide.

As Shairn mentioned, there are many different URL's that these forums have which link to the same site. For convenience purposes really.

Other than that, props to you for making this.

As Swingzeretta said, we need more mods before we can get things into action.

Please keep everything remotely NSFW out please. This thread is hanging on a thread, so posting any of that will cut the rope :/
