I don't like the update because the majority of Jappa's textures are hideous, and he gets his feedback off Twitter instead of Reddit or other sites. Even if Jappa created for a game that wasn't Minecraft, one that actually needed textures, I would still loathe his.
I'd rather have charming, recognizable old Minecraft than the shiny, high contrast, plastic mess that 1.13's textures are.

Minema is a mod that allows you to record smooth videos in Minecraft even at extremely low frame rates by turning the Minecraft engine into an offline renderer.
This allows you to use very expensive rendering techniques which would normally be too slow for real-time rendering and capturing.
Technically, it can be compared with the startmovie command in Source engine or the fixed_time_step variable in CryEngine.
If you try to record, for instance, an explosion of 1,000,000 TNT blocks with tools like Fraps, Dxtory or Shadowplay, you would get nothing more than a slideshow. Even if your PC is fast enough for the targeted movie frame rate, it usually produces less smooth results than Minema. But keep in mind that this mod is designed for intermediate users that need to record cinematic or experimental Minecraft movies rather than for "normal" gameplay movies.

If you're familiar with video encoding, it is highly recommended to use ffmpeg to compress videos on the fly. You can download ffmpeg here:

Linux: Use a packet manager of your choice and search for "ffmpeg".

MAtmos is a sound atmosphere generator for Minecraft. Whenever you play on any multiplayer server or in singleplayer, it looks at your surroundings and generates natural noises as a soundscape, such as birds chirpling in the forest, rumbling noises near a lava lake or wind gusts on a hilltop. This fills out the perpetual silence of Minecraft.

Btw. some things we noticed when building a butterfly house:
- Placing Sugarcane in the butterfly house will make butterflies sleep inside the Sugarcane, which looks kinda cute
- But careful! Don't place accessible water in butterfly houses. Butterflies do tend to drown. You can place water lilies on top though.
- If you catch campers (e.g. Green Hairstreak or Leaf butterfly) you can place their respective camp blocks in the house and they will camp aroundThe same goes for their food blocks.
For some reason it made me think of an artist a while back that used to paint on fall leaves, I wish I could find a picture of one of those but it has been quite a few years...

The 'Back to the Roots' mod part I will probably fix up together with the 1.4 Update.
Version 0.6.8 of butterfly mania is out.
