Ok well here's what I did, so instead of using a different browser or messing with IE's settings, I just typed in the different extension.
Instead of minecraft.zip I went to rename it and typed in the extension it was supposed to be minecraft.jar
It worked like a charm.
I have this problem, when I load a map (Any map wether it's Minecraft generated or otherwise exported.) It doesn't show the map.
I'm able to select some non-existent blocks, only 1X thick, so I don't think it recognizes the map at all.
I have updated to Stable 33 and Minecraft 1.2.5
I use a Windows 7
Since there is no crash there is no log.
I almost got excited there, I was really dissapointed after FanceyPack had stopped being officially updated after Beta 1.5, and I'll wait for this one to update (and hopefully expand aswell)
I do hope that progress continues on this, seems to be the curse of furniture mods.
Edit: Nevermind. By NOT installing 1.1 Modloader and only installing TMI, it... magically works on its own now? Guess I missed the memo. Just gonna leave this here for anybody else.
I hate to break it to you, but it's worked on it's own since as long as I can remember, and I've been installing this mod since about Beta 1.3
This is a Client side mod which will work only for you on a server. (With the exception of Bukkit servers that don't allow spawning in blocks or items.)
I have no clue why it would go wrong. How do you install mods? Next time you get a black screen on startup copy your .minecraft/modloader.txt or if your .minecraft/errorlog.txt says something that one.
Well I went ahead and downloaded the latest updated of TMI for 1.1 and it seems to work now.
All I can really gather from this is to have all the absolute newest downloads for all mods possible and it somehow makes a difference.
I'll make sure to post up the modloader.txt or errorlog.txt next time something strange happens.
Thanks for your reply.
I install mods all the time, and for some reason I'm having a hell of a time installing this one.
The instructions are simple enough, and after serveral attempts at getting Modloader and ModloaderMP to work together, I was finally able to avoid blackscreen (I re-downloaded Modloader for 1.1.. again) It got the mod working and no issues, but once I added TMI into the mix. Blackscreen again.
I'm sure it's not some strange incompability with TMI and Custom NPCs seeing as others use these mods plus many others together.
I am going to try to just simply redownload TMI and try another time, but for the meanwhile I was wondering if anyone had a possible explanation for the strangeness of the situation?
Not only are you not the only one, but it comes up about twice a page since the last update.
As a workaround, you can use //hpos1 and //hpos2 to select the block you are looking at as the first and second selection point, respectively. Even easier if you bind them to 2 adjacent keys (I personally want shift+1 and shift+2, but can't figure out how to do that).
Thanks, I was too busy at the time to look through pages (possibly) and skimmed this one over quickly before typing.
Anyways, aside from getting so fascinated with all the comments, I wanted to say that this mod is simply one of those burger smoothies made nicely at a fast food joint customized to my own satisfaction - minus the cardboard. I commend you.
Got my treecapitator working for me as well, I feel pretty dumb for this mistake, but I'm posting this incase that this is also the case for some others. I did not install modloader. xD
Sadly Moods isn't compatible with Zombe's modpack, I was wondering if anyone knows which files of the modpack it isn't compatible with? (So I can not instal those files if it's possible of course)

When I make a selection with the wooden axe it somehow adds 3 blocks onto a side.
So if my original selection was
xxxx
It may become one of these:
xxxxxxx
or
xxxx
xxxx
xxxx
xxxx
I've used this for a long time, and it's become more of a pain to build a house with this glitch than it is to just put each block in by hand.
I currently have TMI (No modloader) and this mod, autoinstalled.
Am I the only one?

You don't have modloader installed.

So then that doesn't apply to me? :biggrin.gif:
