go out side and get a chair and bash the glass window

You get a chair from the front and bash it against the window, but it does nothing - the glass is oddly strong, like it was built to withstand some kind of invasion or battle.

Even weirder, across the street, most of the buildings have plywood shoved against the windows and barricaded doors... what happened here?

You feel like the hotel building has no significance at this moment, look elsewhere.

pick up the suit case and bash the glass window with it( In pic 3)

You pick up the suit case and chuck it at the glass window - it's bulletproof.

However, you find a mirror and say to yourself... "Rise and shine, Mister Freeman". You fancy yourself as the GMan and wish to keep the suitcase.

Using the gas can, try to BASH the grating in.

You take your gas can and visualize yourself throwing it at the grating so that you can improve your aim. However, your mental gas can explodes and causes your mental building to fall down on your mental character. Maybe you should look in a different building.

Attempt to kick the vent's grate in. Maybe it is weak enough that it would give after a few hits.

You approach the vent and try to kick it open, but it's too strong. You feel like you must use an object to bust it open.

Check the houses and buildings for medicines, food and water. Anything that you can scavenge and that is of some use to you.

    You approach the building.

As you enter, you notice a gas can in the corner!
    +1 ITEM: Gascan

In the front office, you can see a first aid kit, a pistol and a pile of ammo. But the door is locked...

There is a curious vent in the corner of the room, but you don't have anything to open it with.

Upstairs are what appears to be several hotel rooms, but they are also all locked.

ascend the stairs quietly, and investigate to find any signs of life.

You ascend the stairs making as lttle noise as possible.

No signs of life, other than the birds.
You walk past the brown/red shack into the street.

That tunnel looks suspicious, but you'd better stay in this area for now.

You walk down the street and take a right.

    Dead end...

Rip a few of the planks from the dock. Fashion a large rope by tying all the rope pieces together. Tie the large rope to the end of one of the planks, and throw it up to the upper dock.

You fasion a large rope, tie it to one of the planks, and throw the plank to the upper dock.

You climb up the rope and reach the top... only to find out there was a cleverly-hidden set of stairs right next to you.

    Where now?

You find some wood below your feet, but you'd rather make your home one of the buildings above you.

    @Figgle

The wood is decades old and is somewhat fragile, but strong enough to support you, two corpses and a gas pump. It also makes a good firestarter and melee weapon.

Do you want to rip apart some of the planks?

Survey the island to see if there is anything else of interest, maybe if possible find a vantage point to aid in said surveillance of the island?

Check the tissue to see if whatever is contained in it is dry or not,
and check to see if they bodies are warm, and if they have gone stiff from Rigor Mortis yet.

You - reluctantly - open the tissue and look inside. There's dry boogers...and blood?
You wish you could unsee that.

The bodies are cold and partially decayed, as are their clothes. They appear to have been lying there for several years, maybe even decades.

You're not sure if they're much use to you currently.

Dump one of the bodies into the water, away from the letter's position, to distract them. Then, quickly jump in and grab the letter.

You pick up one of the bodies and throw it into the water. Quickly after, you also jump in and swim towards the letter.

    Ouch.

It seems like it's pretty hard to get there by swimming... and now you have a boo-boo. :c

Jump in the water. Maybe there's something under the dock...

You look into the water and see something moving... Out of curiousity, you take a piece of skin off of one of the bodies and throw it into the water - it's viciously gobbled by leeches.

However, you look under the dock and there appears to be a letter taped to the underside... but how to get under there?

Investigate the gas pump. Try to open it, or topple it over somehow.

You approach the gas pump and try to open it, but your puny mortal hands can't break open the steel grating.

After trying to open the gas pump for 30 minutes, you feel too exhausted to topple it over, but you feel like that wouldn't have helped either way.
