Aw yeah, I have the materials together for my tail now.
Now I can really start work on it.

The roll of leather is for the exterior of the tail.
The wood is to make a spine imitating that of a reptile's tail.
The sandpaper is to smooth out the wood when carving it, and the bag of stuffing will fill the tail.
    Best of luck, interesting idea.
Is this a tried and trusted method (be it yours or someone elses) or are you experimenting?
Ive never heard of something like this before.

    Blame search engines.

People search for an issue or idea through google, or maybe even the forums search, and a topic will pop up no matter the date it was created. It is somewhat human nature to assume it will be recent because the issue/idea is recent to yourself.

There is nothing that can be done to stop this, short of reporting (useless) necro posts. Further things, such as automatically/manually locking topics after xx date, could turn out to be more destructive than good.

((keyword, useless, some necros can be good))

I would like to add, that complaining about necroing is just as, if not more destructive as the original necro. The topic gets bumped back up to the top again, and more likely to have more posts, etc etc. Best off staying quiet and reporting.

posted a message on Save the off-topic forum! It is being removed April 14th!
All rule infractions will now result in an email being sent to the users' parents. The staff felt that suspensions and bans were not effective, and that this new measure will be far more proactive in establishing a friendly environment for everyone.

I wish this was a thing.

posted a message on What's the big fuss with post count?
Life is nothing but a game, same applies to forums, its all just a game and posts are a scoring system.
People look to be competitive in many ways, it may sound silly but really, its all just a game.

I'm failing to see this as being a big deal, but alright.
Because it doesnt reflect the purpose of these forums, no-one wants to see a billion posts saying hi, bye, how are you, etc. An IRC is more suited to that but lacks some features a forum does, compromise was made.

I think that its something... good, if done well anyway, i mean, the chat forum is quite promising. My only worry is it dying out due to no references to it anywhere on this site, AFAIK.

    How to make friends on forums;

    Post in the introduction thread.
    Find a section(s) you like.
    Post in that section(s) regularly.

Sooner or later you will find people you like, or they will find you, chuck out a PM to people who you really get along with, invite them to chat a little, or even to move off to skype.

posted a message on Bertern BBCode doesn't work
Citric likes to play around with the forum software a bit, seeing what the forums can do under his reign, maybe at this point he feels as if this isn't a feature that is needed by the general public at the moment, or maybe it has bugs or issues with it. You would have to ask citric.

One issue i can see is that it has a feel of making something "official", so people could trick people into thinking something is "official" and such, made by these forums.

Remember that the forum is fairly new and citricsquid already announced to work on it, I'm sure he will handle all criticism with care.
Although I'm not active in the off-topic section and chats, I like the idea.
Again, IMO, it still needs work before everyone is forced to use it.

Firstly, posts need clearer defining lines, defining the boundaries and defining where a post starts and ends, as well as its edges, just styles alone isn't enough IMO, especially once you end up with dealing with people putting images into their post. (Note; i only just noticed there is a break between posts, but it is so unnoticeable)

Secondly, priorities need to be established, it is not important Who is online or who is in the discussion, things like that generally are at the bottom of a forum for a reason. I don't know what else would/should be at the sides of the forum, but they take quite a bit of focus/attention away from the plain and simple
"chatting". Either they need to be dulled down, or the chat needs to have more to it to give it the focus (perhaps as i said above)

Thirdly... those blasted styles... maybe they're a good idea, but comparing some posts that have styles and posts that dont have styles, the posts without styles are much much easier to follow and are much more fluid to the forums, the styles are just way too unnatural and just don't fit, they might fit better if posts had the boundaries (as i said above... again)

And at last... the catagories, they're fine for now... kinda. Hard to understand at first glance, perhaps a rename is in order, something simple like "General" and "Forum Discussion" like we are all used to, and change "All Discussions" to "View All Discussions", so it is more clear that we are viewing all discussions rather than it being a place for us to put... all discussions.

    Heres an example i mocked up;

TL;DR The site needs a few minor touchups to make the "chat" itself flow easier and be easier to read, currently for me at least its quite hard to follow naturally, i am sure i would get used to its current state in time, however, having a good interface for a first user promotes people to start using your website, and makes it easier for everyone in the long run.

EDIT and please please please please PLEASE use a different capatcha service, that one is horrid and 80% of the time i can't read it! Good enough "bots" will read capatcha anyway or just brute force through it, or even just have a person there to fill them out, all you need to keep the bad bots out is to just have an extra form to fill in, be it a simple capatcha or a "If you are human, answer this sum:" or "This chat service is based off a major indie hit, what was that?"

So there's an infirior software replacement forum? Because we can't use ip.board like here, Well i guess i have to go find something else to do
In theory it is supposed to be superior for the sake of chatting, more streamlined, simple.
Buuut, implementation is iffy, needs work IMO, especially before everyone is shoved off to there.

posted a message on What side do you put your taskbar?
I personally prefer the bottom, i mean, it does no harm there, if i have it to the right, it will popup and cover up the window close button when i try to close a window. If i have it to the left, it covers up the start of a window name, or some important menu options (such as "File" for example) in applications or even games. The bottom of the screen is rarely used for any important menus, maybe because the taskbar is there, but either way, it is also just a lot more comfortable after using it as standard for so long, especially if i need to use multiple computers, some not owned by me, best to just use the standard and accepted norm.

Yep, used it for a few minutes, got a few relatively minor ones. Such as me disliking the layout, colours, and lack of avvies and sigs.
I don't mind the lack of avvies or sigs, i have a distaste for avvies/sigs, but i wont go into detail with that one.

They stiles are quite ugly though, in theory they are fine but its just too sharp, too much contrast, it breaks things up way too much for me.

posted a message on I have A few questions about furries.
Ill give simple, short answers, no bull.

    1. Yes. All it is is a label, you can use it to relate with other so called "furries"

    2. Hate is all over the internet, Furries are just easy targets, especially seeing as a few of them do things that are just so socially and morally unacceptable.

    3. Do what you want. It is hardly disruptive to those around you whether you call yourself a furry or not, it is your personality alone that decides if you are disruptive or not, not if you are labeling yourself a furry.
