Just going to point out that this entire paragraph is false. Mojang owns the copyright to Minecraft and any derived work such as this mod. The terms of use explicitly say this, in fact. The only thing someone risks from violating this "copyright" paragraph is the impotent annoyance of someone on the Internet who thinks that writing the copyright symbol creates a copyright.

Please stop being that guy. You're going to get moderators involved.

I tried making it on about 30 different precentages. None worked. It's just that the clouds are totally invisible/dissapeared.

Keep testing Minecraft while you're doing these steps:
Make sure clouds are enabled in the options menu. Turn cloud height off, and make sure your current resource pack (if you're using one) supports either 3D clouds, as some texture packs sometimes render 3D clouds terribly or incorrectly. If you are using a recourse pack, disable them and use the default Minecraft pack, then do the steps before.

If nothing seems to work, delete the Optifine options in your .minecraft folder, run Minecraft without Optifine installed, put your graphic settings to the default, then reactivate Optifine and set the cloud options from there.

If none of that works, then I can't really help you. It might be a hardware issue.

I lose my clouds every time I install this mod. My clouds are ON in the options and they are at 66%.
First I was fine with no clouds but now I'm starting to miss them. Helllppp!!!

P.S. Extreme render distance is awesome!

66% is pretty high to put the clouds. Put the percentage lower.

The 1.6.3 patch was to fix chunks location of Villages, Witch Huts etc.. of where they can spawn.

It fixed it so they don't get messed up when 1.7 comes around; So there is a reason to update.

Yes there's a reason to update. There isn't a reason to keep using that version.

The version was made for people who want to use their worlds for the snapshots. It provides nothing for those who aren't planning to test the features of 1.7 until it comes out, which won't be for some time.

No you don't. 1.6.4 does nothing beneficial for 1.6.2. It's just a step towards 1.7, meaning that you don't need to play on 1.6.4 whatsoever.

Switch back to 1.6.2 via the launcher.

Haha, so I went to open Minecraft after just updating this mod to 3.1.1 and got this:

    #Blocks
533: electricfence from cfm - stereo from cfm
    Suggested Ranges: 545-2053 (1509 IDs), 2268-3024 (757 IDs), 3028-3752 (725 IDs)

I've changed the electric fence to 546 in the config now, but I just thought I'd point out that you doubled up on IDs there, Cray.

    Also, I found this:

I checked if that were actually the case, and not just a bug on the end of another mod, but no. I'm assuming that the 8 stone and 1 inksac is meant to be the recipe for ink cartridges, haha.

    EDIT:
Also, there seems to be an incompatibility with HarvestCraft because all log textures on your mod are being replaced by HC's peppercorn item... And I can't find an ID conflict between the two. Help? :/

Delete the config and allow the mod to create a new one. If you're updating from 3.0, more than likely it'll mess things up since that version had several game breaking bugs.

As for the incompatibility, I don't have a clue. Maybe Cray will see if it's a problem on his end. If not, contact the author of the mod and see if he/she can do something about the textures.

    Quote from socrazy10

Hey, very nice job on the big fixes :)
This isn't a bug I'm reporting but since this new update (Only mod I have updated out of all 26 that I use).
It sometimes takes me 1-3 tries to get in to my world. What happens is, I try to load up my world and Minecraft would just freeze (no error or crash) and I have to force close Minecraft and retry.
When I do end up loading in to it, nothing's gone or anything. It's just the multiple tries to just get into my world is quite annoying. Just thought I'd let ya know, just in case this happens to anyone else unless it's just me.

Check your crash reports in your .minecraft folder. Minecraft doesn't produce an error log in front of you anymore, so you'll have to manually check the logs in the crash reports folder. That way you can see what's going wrong when you're trying to load the world. More than likely, it's an entity trying to spawn in a not-so-nice way and causes the crash.

when people say they cant play minecraft without optifine (like me) they most likely mean they cant play single player on ANY VERSION of minecraft and the servers on minecraft UPDATED to 1.6.4 meaning staying in 1.6.2 is a option....but not a very good one.......almost at all......

You're not understanding the solution though. There is absolutely no reason to stay on 1.6.4.

That version is really just a step towards 1.7 as it fixes the structure generation glitch that 1.6.2 worlds would had suffered from while playing the snapshots. Other than that, the version offers nothing new. If servers updated to 1.6.4, they're not very smart, and you should ask them to revert back.

In other words, there's no point to stay on 1.6.4. Just choose the 1.6.2 profile and continue playing. That's at least what I did, and I'm having no trouble whatsoever.

posted a message on Metallurgy - Putting the "Mine" back in "Minecraft"!
    Quote from Seven Dragons

I've been getting a peculiar generation bug and I'm not really sure how to solve it.

After work today I decided to delve back into this mod feet first. I have the latest version and latest forge version (can get more specific later if needed).

After playing for a few hours, I thought it odd the way ore was spawning (or lack thereof). I was getting way too much of some stuff, and too little of others. After playing with the config file I decided to test the generation out a bit. I put on the spawn in the air cheat, then I turned off ALL ore generation except for precious metals (because I couldn't seem to find much of it, except for zinc). I noticed something odd, after flying around for a few thousand blocks just looking at ore, I could not find ANY silver. Some platinum, and tons of zinc of course. Okay so maybe I'm just not seeing the silver, I think to myself. I turn off everything but silver, and what do you know, the silver spawns everywhere the zinc would have been. If I turn both silver and zinc on, only zinc spawns. If I turn all 3 on, some plat and tons of zinc. I'm not sure why this is happening, but I also tried to find other ores using the same method and had some of the same results.

I think that the ore generation has some overwriting problems going on, I'm not sure what's causing it because I have no idea how it works. But that might explain why some people have said they can't find certain ores, and some other peculiarities.

I'm not entirely sure how Metallurgy handles the oregeneration, but I can assure you that Silver can spawn with all the ores enabled. I've encountered every ore at least once in my current playthrough, and I've spent quite a few hours on that world. Silver (along with particular Fantasy metals like Carmot.) are one of the least occurring minerals I have; I've only three and 1/3rd stacks of Silver dust, and I never use it to craft or smelt anything.

Now I'm not sure if my results are the same for others. With me, I can never find any Ender Ores and I didn't get any response on said ores. Regardless, if the generation is glitched, then that can definitely explain why some (or a good double handful) ores never seem to generate, and may actually be overwritten by other ores. If not, then you just need to look harder or just strip mine, or maybe even check if Metallurgy is installed correctly and just get a fresh batch of configuration files. My two cents; sorry if it didn't help.

Ummm...As far as I know, the Shelf Mod is for ModLoader, not Forge.

Yes, Forge has FML and it's supposed to work like ModLoader and yadda yadda yadda. Simplest way to say is that ML mods will not work (either 100% correctly or not at all) with Forge.
