I always imagine it as a complete body change, not just growing fur and a muzzle.
The fundamental idea is that a furry would be a different species, mammalian, but close to the evolutionary lie of a human, so, in principal, the changes shouldn't be too drastic. Thus, your innards changing would not have too much of an impact on yourself.

1) I didn't start the issue (someone else brought up NSFW).
2) I never insulted furries.
3) I got reported, not the other way around.
4) I was accused of being into NSFW stuff, not the other way around (that's why the whole thing started).
5) Afterwards, I apologized to the mod involved. He took it well.
6) I did set several people to ignore, which is meaningless in the infraction business.
7) I was attacked when people didn't believe what I was saying.

Well, the many species that can interbreed with other species (although can't produce fertile offspring) DO mix various traits. However, I doubt furries would have enough DNA similar with humans to be able to produce any offspring.
White people don't choose to be white either.
Female anatomy should be fairly similar since they would most likely be in the same biological family (not that a family distinction is important: more that the most recent common ancestor is more recent).

Well, if you remember from last time anyone said anything about NSFW ever on this thread, two entire pages were removed and my ignore list grew by 4 names. (For anyone who wasn't around, someone said "Keep nudity out of this" and I replied "But, why?" and that caused what could be best described as "hilarity". Seriously.)
Most furries feel like they have to run away from the NSFW content of the fandom. They get violent when it's mentioned because it's a stigma that has been associated with furryism. The mere mention of the term in any 'furry' context makes them feel attacked.
Strong language IS in fact, NSFW, because it's NOT SAFE FOR WORK, unless you happen to work at a bar or something nonsensical where that term doesn't apply. Anyone who doesn't want you to use that term is hiding from their insecurity or is trying to censor you.
Take it from me, being in your shoes: ignore what they say. Just let it go. So what if someone else got internet points because of a hive-mind mentality? It doesn't matter. Remember that going against the grain of a points-biased community will always result in actions such as these.

The fact that it's dropping anyway: If you have a Windows 7 lappy, you should try changing your power options:
Click the battery symbol in the bottom, righthand corner.
"More power options"
If you're on "power saver", switch to one that says "balanced", "High performance", or anything that sounds more powerful
If this is not the issue, i.e. you are already on "high performance", click "change plan settings"
"Change advanced power settings"
You might have a "graphics setting", mine says "Intel(R) Graphics Settings" Make sure they are set to "Maximum"
Under "Processor power management" there are several options. Make sure "Maximum processor state" is on "100%' and "System cooling policy" is on "active"
That last step most matches your problem description. If it's not on "active", that means your PC is throttling your performance to save on fan noise and power consumption.

Backwards compatibility isn't some easy thing. The PS3 had the emotion engine built in to the thing to ensure backwards compatibility. You have to go out of your way in with great cost to make something backwards compatible, or not advance your system architecture. It's just generally a bad business strategy.
