Kinda what I mentioned in my post above yours, with the 2 or 4 bulbs per housing, but the 2 blocks thing would be cool

Here are some suggestions that I tought of for the lighting aspect of the mod:

    Enclosures:

    • High bay enclosure
    • Wall pack enclosure
    • Office style florescent housing

    Bulbs:

    • Mercury Vapor Lamp
      • Same efficiency as incendescent
      • Lasts much longer (longer then Economic CFL)
      • 30, 50, 100, 250W Variants
      • Fits into High Bay, Robust or Wall Pack housing
      • Takes about a minute to turn on and get to full brightness
      • Produces greenish-white light
      • Requires ballast (maybe/if possible)
      • Cheap to craft

    • High Pressure Sodium
      • Better efficency then economic CFL
      • Lasts longer then CFL
      • 30, 50, 100, 250, 500W Varients
      • Fits into High Bay, Robust or Wall Pack housing
      • Takes about 3 minutes to turn on and to get to full brightness
      • Produces orange light
      • Requires ballast (maybe/if possible)
      • Cheap to craft

    • Metal Halide Bulbs
      • Same efficiency as economic CFL
      • Lasts longer then CFL / around the same length as Mercury Vapor
      • 50, 100, 250, 500W Varients
      • Fits into High Bay, Robust or Wall Pack housing
      • Takes about 1 minutes to turn on and to get to full brightness
      • Produces bright white light
      • More expensive to craft
      • Requires ballast (maybe/if possible)

    • Linear Florescent Bulbs
      • Only fits into florescent housings
      • Warm and Cool White
      • 11, 15, 19, 25, 40W Varients

    Other Suggestions

    • Florescent Lamp Housings only support linear florescent bulbs (mentioned above)
    • Florescent Lamp Housings support 2 or 4 bulbs per housing
    • Ballasts for Mercury Vapor, High Pressure Sodium and Metal Halide Lamps
    • Multiple switches in one block, like light switches

Spotlights/floodlights do somewhat exist. The lamp socket type B has a spot distance of 10 blocks with a directional beam; you can change the beam direction in the GUI. A true spotlight would be hard to implement with Minecraft's lighting system, as you'd have to make the spot 15 brightness but override numerous classes to eliminate the diffusion that normally occurs.

You can also make a dimmer switch by hooking up a signal trimmer to a signal box connected to a generator. The trimmer can be used to regulate the generator's output voltage, and if you feed this into a lighting circuit it will function as a dimmer of sorts.

For the spotlight, I know the Lamp Socket Type B, but I was thinking of a remodel of it (to look like a spotlight), for the dimmer switch, something without the relay would make it simpler...

Loving the mod, here are some other random features that could be added:

    - Mercury Light Bulb (Energy saving but takes a while to get to full brightness)

    - Soft/Cool White Bulbs (Not sure if possible, but different color tones)

    - Colored Bulbs

    - Dimmer Switches

    - Spotlights

    - Track lights with spotights

    - Flood Light Housing

    - Warehouse Light Housing

    - Nuclear Power Reactor Generator

posted a message on Looking For A Small Server For Youtube Channel
Hello, I am the creator of a YouTube channel called GlowingRedSkill. We started you-tubing in March 2013 for fun, but now we have grown to ~180 Subscribers and havepassed 30K channel views. We get requests to play with us. We have a single-player world which we upload to gratis-server but after 2 hours, it shuts down. We are looking for a small 24/7 server. We would like to have a minimum of 6 slots, as 4 of us are part of the YouTube channel. We also need a minimum of 256 MB of RAM, although 512 MB or more would be highly appreciated. We would appreciate if we can have bukkit, so we can add our own commands and have a few plugins like essentials and my-warp, but even vanilla is fine. We also would like full FTP access. On our serer, we would like to run the minigames we created, like, our version of spleef, parkour, city survival, survival turf wars and more. In return, we will add your host in the credits section of our channel, in the about section of our channel, give shutouts during video's and add your hosting company name in the description of every video.

    Thank You For Your Time!

Wow. 4 Months. Time Flies. This started for 1.4.7, then 1.5 and now 1.6. Its been through a lot.A few things,

    1. Can you give the code for your signature (I cant seem to find it)
    2. Your first sentence of the forum says add-on, and maybe remove the link to the outdated forum. Nortrix0 still is in the current crew section which I guess can also be removed.

Just a few things that I noticed.

The first sentance of the forum does still say that this is an add-on but still, either way, did 1.6 make you lose a lot of progress?I need a new signature now...

I am assuming this is compatible with optifine.

You should also provide a link to the skydaz website. They made an auto-installer for this mod.

You can also use Mediafire, Slingfile, Datafilehost, Google Code (Not google drive), Fileswap, Fileden and Filedropper. (All but google code delete your files after a certain time)(Google code is a free cloud that does not use space on your google drive)
