If I have a set size, I use NZPhoenix's Quad Mining.
If I want infinitely expandable, I use NZPhoenix's X-Mine.
If I'm playing with TerraFirmaCraft, I use those methods with a higher distance between each shaft.
If I'm playing with Custom Ore Generation? I use a prospecting mod, because standard mining techniques suck with a vein-like distribution!

Oh hey, just in case nobody said anything. Apparently Magical Crops came out of paywall beta! I don't like most of the new changes much though :-(

You should probably allow the Totem to "home" on the ore, or it makes it almost less useful than the talisman. Some keybind or maybe holding the item in your hand?

The prospectors. Please for the love of god the prospectors!

You're having Forge Multipart issues. Is that mod installed in your instance?
If you don't know what something is, there's this magical resource called Google. Though honestly Tema does need to switch to a wiki... ExU is too big for a forum post anymore.

The Green Screen is just that. A Green Screen. For Chroma Key compositing. It's a film term. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chroma_key
The Kikoku is a admin-only sword that does void damage... which is capable of killing players in creative mode.

That should be impossible. I would cheat in some seeds as a replacement. Though I do think there are some in a few other places on the map... I haven't explored fully, so I can't be sure.

Um, you should actually just be able to run the linux version of an installer... which is even easier... depending on which version of MineOS and if you can SSH into it or have physical access.
Basically you should be able to run
and then
as the superuser to check for updates to all the packages and then update them all without removing any old ones... which shouldn't break anything, but your mileage may vary.

Please post a crash log either in spoiler tags or by linking to a "paste" site like pastebin or paste.ubuntu.com or paste.ee (there are many more options as well). Don't just post it in raw text in the thread, it wastes a LOT of space in the thread.
Angel Block. Not cheap, but you can place them completely in midair or against a block, they instant-break, AND go directly into your inventory. Which means unless you've got a need for an amazing amount of "temporary" scaffolding a small handful will probably do just fine :-)

Are those experience berries? Essence bushes? The TiCo things... Argh, excuse me tonight, apparently I cannot brain.

With the recent public release of the Curse Client for Minecraft, have you considered hosting your mod on Curse?
0
Huh, NEI and CodeChickenCore are the only mods by ChickenBones that are on Curse.... that's odd. With the new launcher having gone public, that's a lot of people that won't be able to easily get all the other awesome mods you put out ChickenBones.
0
Oh and to completely go off-topic. The Curse Launcher went public recently. Hosting your builds on Curse would be awesome for ease of obtainment, installation, and (even better) keeping updated!

I was wondering if you would consider hosting builds of your mod on CurseForge. I was toying around with the now-public launcher and your mod isn't on the platform so I can't easily download it or keep it updated.

Have you considered additionally (or solely) hosting on CurseForge? Their new launcher dropped and making a pack for yourself is SO EASY now... assuming all the mods you want are on Curse. Which is why I'm posting this :-) I was trying to recreate my personal single player pack on the curse launcher and noticed your mod wasn't available.

With multi-monitor setups web > book every time. Heck, I pop MC out of fullscreen on my single monitor to use the web a lot. Unless it's in the Lexica Botania or I can use NEI. I used the TiCo books until one of the TiCo informational addons (TiCo Tooltips I think) added the information to the parts, so I use NEI for that now too. I actually use the TC4 wiki or Cheat Sheet more than the thaumonomicon, even with the addon that adds a search function.
The only reason I use RotaryCraft's handbook is because I can access it from the machine GUI. Trying to find something in there is better than say OpenBlocks charlie foxtrot of a book, but it still is enough of a pain that I find researching online to be less onerous.
I understand that it's additional work, and you're having trouble finding wiki editors, Reika. Just providing my two pence.

I only had Rotarycraft and DragonAPI in my instance. I'm trying to track down an odd bug relating to (apparently) NBT handling during crafting messing up somewhere. That's the source of the ExU Magical Wood only ever producing one bug, and there's a few more casualties. So all I had was the relevant mods for that :-)
I just confirmed it's a 1.7 only bug though... so... yay I guess?
