Chunk handling and performance is horrible in 1.7.10 compared with 1.10.2 for example.
We were stuck at 1.7.10 for the last years (Bukkit support with Cauldron / Thermos and mods like Witchery, Thaumcraft, Graves...) but the pros are worth to update. And don't forget about newer mods and maybe alternatives to the old ones. Think different.
And nobody says you have to live without the good mods for the next years.
Most mods aren't updated past 1.7.10 so no, it's not more important.
Sure. Most mods ARE updated. And it's really time to change.
There are just a few of the bigger mods that aren't finished but in development (Thaumcraft for example).

Does somebody got this work an 1.10.2?
The mod loads fine and the atlas could be used but it does not render / update the map correctly.

Yes my dear :-)

Yes, but it's not available for 1.10.2 as far as I know.

Just to clear laggs from time to time.

Everything but CustomNPCs.
A Blacklist would be nice or something similar.
Sadly, CMS does not allow to kill just entity-groups (ambient, monsters, unkown...).

Uhm... I don't want to spend hours just for killing mobs ;-)

Hey guys,
I'm using the CMS command /cms killall force to kill entities if necessary.
But there's a big disadvantage: It kill all of the CustomNPCs, too.
Does anybody know a way to "protect" them from being killed by command?

Absolutely amazing!
Do you have plans adding more dragons like toxic or lightning or something similar?

Hey guys,
anybody here who is able to fork the Ambience mod and add the multitrack feature for 1.10.2?
