i have the same problem as him. NO zip mods work for me at all. you name it, it doesn't work. too many items, minecraft comes alive, tinkers construct, all big name mods, but they are .zip and won't run. for a couple of mods i was able to extract them and get a .jar and make them run, but for most of them, nothing.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE update the mods for 1.7.10 PLEASE. i want them so badly, but i can't run them on 1.7.10 it just crashes my game every time i try, and i can't convert to 1.7.2 because i already have so much downloaded and saved as 1.7.10 (worlds, mods, servers, etc.).
