I have known a lot of pay to win players, they all say the same stuff, its about power and the ability to destroy those under you. Case in point my friend was vaporized on a server along with his home when a player payed $25 for an antimatter bomb. Weeks of building all destroyed because the $25 players bomb bypass claimed land.
So your rights its not a donation its an payment.
I like the EULA
Quote from FrozenSquid»
Hey guys, did you know that if you are donating to a Minecraft server to get full diamond armor, its not a donation? Thats called a transaction. Why? Because a donation doesn't give you anything in return. I remember seeing this post once that showed how little people know about the word "donation"
The person who posted this runs a server. Here is a common conversation for them: (by the way this isn't an exact quote.)
Player: What do I get for donating?
Server Owner: Nothing... its a donation.
Player: Can I get OP if I donate?
Server Owner: No. Its a donation.
Player: This is such a bad server!
Player has left the game
I am so amazed that now some players WANT pay-to-win. Its so flipping stupid.

Most people think the EULA is a vendetta against servers making money to fund themselves, however it was created to protected Mojang and its Players from harm. Mojang collectively makes more money than all the servers put together.
The EULA fulfills Mojang legal obligation to protect itself and its investors. It also fulfills its social and ethical obligations as a company. There were those server owners who are doing what they believed was normal and is charging everyday prices for items/abilities then there were those server owners who were charging crazy prices for items/abilities and finally we have mod server owners who were taking the items and abilities created by authors who put their work out there for free and charging for them.
Lastly, we have illegal activities committed by minecraft servers which are the main concern of Mojang, so many people were having their credit card information stolen or bank accounts drained just because they wanted an advantage over other players, or to support a server they liked.
Some server owners did not even deliver the goods.
When players paid for them and just banned them are said there was error, and they cannot receive their care item/abilities. I myself saw a server owner trick a player into donating $300 to the server to be owner and then close the server.
Before the EULA. I would say that out of 100 mine craft players at least 12 of them would have been scammed in some way. Now, because of the EULA players are not donating to servers because they know that they will not be able to receive items/abilities from them. They only donate because they like the server and want to continue to keep it open. This has made life for good owners and bad owners hard because they have lost their main “device” that allows them to attract players.
Another frustrating thing for good server owners is the fact that most of them were unaware of the original EULA. And some server owners even based there origination donation systems on information that was found at Minecon.
The new EULA only was created and put in place, because of all the complaints that Mojang received from players not "server owners" who were scammed. Mojang has cited with its player base over the needs of “server owners” because it has a responsibility to protect players. So enforcing the EULA. In closing down servers that violate it is in fact their legal, social and ethical responsibility to the players.

You know if you want something on "put server name here" you just do backdoor deals, you sent a message and just transfer money to them with your papal account.
Everyone knows about Mineplex its the most corrupt server in minecraft.
I don't think mojang will do anything to them

This is a group that want the plugin coders to bring the hurt to pay to win server by design their plugins not to function with servers who have donation shops, it would disable the plugin they have created if you had Buy-craft or Enjin or another kind of “selling plugin” .
However I believe that this action would be too extreme, the only thing stopping it now is the fact that plugin site don’t allow that kind of code in their plugin.
So Mojang needs to deal with these server before others do...

I know a person who collected 3000 euros , by scamming player, their would be an accident that reset the server files and you had to buy your items aging or he would give everyone free kits. He told everyone that 3000 euros was a goal to keep the server open forever and to ignored the EULA because they a modded server. They said they where paying the bills for the server however it was not true, he had a co-owner that paid everything and when they reach their goal of 3000 he deleted the server and run off with the money. We found out that he when on vacation with the 3000 euros. They have done this scam 2 times that I know of. By targeting children and family.
I hope mojang will start by force closing down these types of servers

So will now be stopping servers from selling in game money for real world money? Their was a google doc page that you could fill out to report a server, its been around for months.
I was told that it was not ok to sell sell in-game currency in your
donation stores and that you cant sell items or keys that only effect
one Individual. We recently had a discussion with our legal advisory
about minecraft servers and this was the conclusion reached. It however
is possible to sell in game items as an lockable bonus that any player
on the server can have these bonuses can be available for a period of
time then remove. Once expired the donation goal must be reached again
for the items to become available for everyone. The only individual items
that you can sell separately our cosmetic ones and commands that do not
affect game-play.
A lot of servers are letting players by loot creates /chests for real world money you buy a key and higher the cost of the key the bigger the reward. The chests have in-game items in them like op-armor. These server think they have found a loophole however they have not.

I like this idea and the undefineda href="http://www.reddit.com/user/GreenBlock24">GreenBlock24 -1 points0 points1 point 5 hours ago (0 children)I would like away to strip players of the effects of gold apples and enchanted gold apples, a new splash potion or item that removes all the potion effects on another player. This “thing” has to be one time use and cost a lot to create.

The server has been closed , I had bronchitis and was unable to watch over it, and the ones left watching it caused a fatal error that destroyed the server files.

This information was found by reviewing the documents found here: https://account.mojang.com/terms#commercial and https://mojang.com/2014/06/lets-talk-server-monetisation-the-follow-up-qa/
Also there is a now a community underground movement that has begun collecting information on servers that violate the EULA. They have set up Google doc sites that allow people to submit screenshots webpages and the addresses of servers that are violating. They plan to turn this information over to mojang however their list of servers with the proper information that a violation is occurring can be used by anyone to DOS though servers or harass them so the actual list is not available to the public you can only submit the information to them. The reason being a underground movement is the fact that you are not allowed to slander/negatively portray anyone/server on most mine craft sites including this one.

This post is misleading there is nothing illegal about coding and selling plugins and hiding your code. If you’re buying a preexisting one. The author is the one who choose what’s it licensed on it and if you have a plugin made for you the creator of the plugin can hold the right to distribute the plugin for themselves or transfer ownership of the plugin to the buyer.
Also most of the people I know who sell plugins, create it and produce a finial versions that is a GPL, this version does not contain their true source code and was never meant to contain it. They are delivering a product that only needs the code it has to function in it, not all of the coding used to create the plugin

Do you plan to destroy it?

I have found more diamonds (200) than iron (50) and all ore is found on diamond level everything on top is coal, it must have been something with the map generation setting. So I have a new map.
0
So I decide to play on a new and when it loaded in, every think look find a pick out a nice place and start to mine however I could not find or any other ore, it an hour I only found 30 iron ore, no gold and 4 Redstone there was tons of coal ore located everywhere on the server. Most of the time I was mining stone.
Is some kind of super hard world or something?

The server is small scale and we are pandering to a small group of Minecraft players that want an invite only server with an open house sometimes to scout for new players. We basically have 4gb of ram . Also we are only taking players from the west coast of USA and Canada only.
The server at core is survival with the add-on of quests, player class and magic
