I suggest updating to the latest versions of things, then see if the crashes still occur, your versions of some of the mods are 30-50 version behind or so.

Telling me I need NBTEdit and Pokecube forge.

I believe you probably miss-read the warning, and it is actually telling you to update your version of forge, please re-check what forge version you have, if that doesn't work, please give a screenshot of your mods folder, and say exactly which verison of minecraft forge you are using.

Oh and have you added Ash-Greninja yet? If not, I have a suggestion on how it should work (I don't particularly like the system for it in pokemon sun and moon)

It was added in last year, it transforms via standard mega evolution, so long as the greninja has the ability "battlebond"

and Thut, I haven't been around for awhile but I was wondering-if I were to build a gym would you accept it? and if so, how?

Send the .nbt for the gym to me, probably best via discord or something, here is a link to my discord: https://discord.gg/medHvkA

my pokedex doesnt work, I right click the pokemon and their names doesnt appear..

I need a bit more details than that, what version numbers of the mods, forge and minecraft? is this single player or multiplayer?
    Quote from nelk»

I wanted to ask, are z-moves going to be added? And the gyms are showing up in the saves or do you still need the buildings?

z-moves are planned for eventually being added, but they are at the bottom of the priority list.
I still need buildings for the gyms.

2.14.2 mobs has the seviper, mudbray and mudsdale added to it: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/pokecube-mobs/files
I also tried to recolour the textures for shiny textures, I hope they are the right colours (I left the normal textures you made alone).

thanks, I will wait till I get a silvally model before putting type: null in, but I can definitely get mudbray/mudsdale and seviper in :D. I might also look into custom item models for the pokedex, not quite sure how to do that at present.

Ok, so I have all the latest Pokecube mods at the time of this post from the Curseforge page....and 2 major things:

    (1) The Pokemob cries are gone.

    (2) My Bulbasaur's stats, nature & IVs are on the fritz, cycling through all available options at a ridiculous speed; something in the code regarding the stats is apparently having a massive epileptic fit. @[email protected] Weirdly, it doesn't affect the other 2 pokes I just caught, so it may just be related to the starters.

EDIT: Ok, I let it out, and the prob rectified itself.....still weird, though.

I will look into the cries, I think something during the 1.11.2 update messed up the sounds for 1.10.2, I think I need to fix some casing in 1.10.2 code.

For the stats, I am not sure if I actually want to fix that :D it is caused by the fact that the stats were not initialized until you send out out the first time, so when you get it, it shows random values on the client (no actual stats till it has been in world) the caught ones are fine as they were in world, and that is why it fixed it after you sent it out. I will consider fixing it.

hmm, I wonder if there is something wrong with the 1.10.2 compatiblity between pokecube and ruins? try it with just pokecube, then with just ruins, and see if it works in both of those cases, if that is the case, then I can look into issues with ruins compat and 1.10.2 pokecube.

Ironically this started happening after I updated all the 1.10 versions, attempting to clear up some other crashing issues that I no longer have the reports for. :V

No freakin' clue what the deal is here, other than I can't play at all, basically. :/

your version of pokecube mobs is way outdated, use the latest verison of pokecube mobs, it is for 1.10.2, 1.11.2 and 1.12 (the curse.com page is broken and only displays it for 1.12, the curseforge page correctly shows all 3 versions)

I'm really enjoying this mod! I've been playing the simple pokecube pack so far, and I plan of including this in a custom pack for family use. As this pack has many other mods that involve non-pokecube mobs (such as dragons from fire and ice), what config changes would help pokecube coexist?

While I'm asking about the config files, is there any way to set trainers to respawn? They get caught in my Quilava's Lava Plume fairly often, and they can't take the heat... I'm running out of opponents near my house. Finally, I noticed the spawnLevelFunctions option while browsing the config. While the default formula clearly uses the x and y coordinates, what other variables are legal?

only x and y are legal for the spawnLevelFunction, x is the relative x coordinate, and y is the relative z coordinate.

Trainers do respawn, but there can only be 2 trainers within trainerBox (in pokecube_adventures.cfg) of each other, so they probably respawned further away from your house. I think if you lower trainerBox you should find more trainers around.

You could alternatively set trainersInvul to true, then they will stop dying to attacks.

Great job making the mod. Didn't think you thought about copyright! Nice to see!

tbh, it was mostly coded this way so I didn't have to spend the time coding in the mechanics for pokemon stuff, the copyright-freeness ended up being a side effect.

In the 1.7.10 -> 1.8 update, I needed to completely re-write the mod anyway, so during that time I converted everything over to resource-based loading

With Pixelmon being shut down, I think Pokecube will get more attraction, but it's sad to see Nintendo shut Pixelmon down. :( I have been playing Pokecube a lot the last months, so I'm not that sad, as many other people are.

Hope Pokecube wont be shut down.

Pokecube is a lot more resistant to copyright issues than pixelmon was, Pokecube Core and Pokecube Revival do not actually have anything to do with pokemon at all, they have no Pokemon-specific code in them, and the only thing pokemon-like about them is some of the internal file names. All of the actual Pokemon-specific stuff is in Pokecube Mobs, and the vast majority of that can be provided by a resource pack, with the rest being a small amount of open source code which could be re-made in a different addon mod.

This means the only part of Pokecube that they should be able to complain about is Pokecube Mobs, and that can easily be re-made as resourcepacks and new addons, the actual complex part of the mod is pokemon-free.
