    Here is the json stuff that needs to be changed:

    below is a link to say the cherishcube json, notice how it says this: "parent": "pokecube:block/pokecubes"

    that means it uses the below model for where it maps the sides to:
    https://github.com/Thutmose/Pokecube-Mobs/blob/master/src/main/resources/assets/pokecube/models/block/pokecubes.json
    This one doesn't have seperate side textures, just uses "side" for both (cherishcube.json then says "side" is "pokecube:items/cherishcubeside")

    So for seperate side textures, change "parent": "pokecube:block/pokecubes" to "parent": "pokecube:block/pokecubes_nonsymmetric", which is the following:

    which instead of "side" uses "side0" and "side1", so you specify those in the cube json instead of just "side" and it should render them.

    One other thing you could do wrt textures like the moon cube which would be nice to have different textures for the sides, is you can make custom jsons for them, I can get a basic template done, then if you want you can modify the textures accordingly.

    I took the time to re-write the way pokecubes are registered, to clean some stuff up, so it will be a little bit of testing before I release (will require updates for all 3 pokecube mods)


    I also fixed the back texture using side instead.

    Tapus were added a few weeks ago, no natural spawns for them yet though.

    I am working on getting the new cubes added today, some will have to act slighlty differently from normal, due to the different mechanics in pokecube, but mostly will act as expected.

    thanks they look good to me, I will try to see about getting them in shortly, I can also see if I can do something about sides mapping to back as well for later.


    I hope your lung gets better.


    Edit: any suggestions on recipes for them?

    I suspect it might be due to the way it trys to determine groups of generations of pokemobs, if it cannot determine which generation a mob is, it looks in entity/models and entity/textures for the model/texture, you might need to include models and textures for latios and latias.

    Wait, so the only database edit you made was adding that _mobs_.xml, and it somehow messed up the model/texture for latios/latias?

    Hmm, maybe it is something else in your resourcepack, try removing any models/textures for latios and latias from your resourcepack and see if that fixes it, if it does, check the paths you use, maybe there is something strange about them.

    Wanted a quick but easy to work with prototype so decided "Hey, Latios and Latias are breedable in pokecube so why not make a pre-evolution for them?". Its using a edited Latias skin and model as a placeholder( at least until I learn to Blender right.. ) but everything for it works so far. It has a 50/50 gender ratio and after quite a bit of testing evolves at level 38 into Latios if its male and Latias if its female.

    The only issues ive encountered so far is giving it a sound( somehow I derped that up but im 90% sure thats user error and not a bug ) and a model bug with Latios/Latias when I give it the evolution capability. They'll both have invisible models but still work like normal, yet it doesn't happen when I remove the evolution parameters.. weird.Screenshot for the issue:



    All in all im pretty proud I actually got at least 1 working pokemon added with a resource pack~


    can you send a pastebin of the pokemobs json you used? I could take a look at it an see what went wrong

    1) They should brew from berries in a potion stand, I haven't checked if that does still work in 1.12.1, but it should.

    2) the recipe is set to call for "minecraft:tallgrass" which should be obtainable via shears on tall grass in plains, i will confim this shortly. Seems this is currently broken, seems the shrubs no longer use the same id as the others... I will have this fixed for next version. - Fixed, will be fixed for whenever I next update Pokecube Core.

    3) the nests are a partially implemented way to make spawners, they spawn eggs that instantly hatch, they were eventually be planned such that mobs could make them, then you have an area which always has specfic pokemobs spawning in them.

    that is a vanilla feature on the nether portals, you need to build one further away, or it will connect to the "default" portal instead.

    That server is mostly a testing server, I can probably see about resetting it at some point to clear up the stale claims near spawn.

    Not sure about the lag issues, could be the cheap server host it is running on, the server also has rather low amounts of ram available to it.

    Request: May I ask for Update the Pokecube Wix site to include more detail about berries? Things I'd like to know about them from there is not just their existence, but what they do, and how they are found. And also perhaps update more info on the pokedex features on the wix site. What is the "Secret Base" feature?

    Question: Which Pokemon can fly? Do I need the TM fly? Or can Ii just put a Saddle on them?


    I don't have it set to cull, mostly to test if the increase in ram load causes any issue, if I set it to cull, then things do despawn when you get too far away from them.

    I wasn't managing that wiki page, not sure who was.

    Any pokemob that flys ingame will fly if you can ride it, some that only float will fall to ground if you ride them instead. the mob needs to be physically large enough to ride though.

    The secret base radar in the pokedex lets you find nearby entrances for secret bases, which are made by using secret power on terrain.

    Can you quantify " a while"? When I run a modpack server online, I typically make sure that it auto-restarts once or twice a day.

    Why do I keep seing people talking about rails... What rails?


    the 1.7.10 had rails that were needed for the elevators, they were removed during the 1.8 update due to no multi-part api existing at the time for 1.8, and I never bothered to re-add them, they caused more problems than they were worth.

    hmm, i am not sure what is going wrong then, I can't help with anything specific with versions before 1.10.2, as I don't work on the code for those, and versions before 1.8.9, I don't even have the code for anymore (have not had for about 2 years now)
