posted a message on Elite Armageddon - The Ultimate Mod For Destruction

And I suppose at that point we should just delete history too, no? The mod has working versions and anyone who wishes to play those versions can. Only a child would suggest that we take the fun away from someone else who is willing to play outdated versions simply on the grounds that the mod isn't being updated. You are not, nor will you ever be, entitled to the labor of another human being.

All of the versions I've found are either deleted, corrupted, or are extremely buggy and don't work. I'm not entitled to anything. I'm saying we shouldn't have broken versions of this mod still lingering around. It's only going to mislead people.

    Don't twist my words.

That other link is broken, but here's the real link.

Unfortunately, that's one of the broken mods I was referencing. It "works," but the oceans don't dry up due to the infinite water, grass doesn't really die (only the grass closest to you), and the tree(s) nearest to you only burn. Everything else is fine. It's basically a broken mod, and it's pretty much dead too. :(

    This?

Yes. I'm looking for an alternate mod or similar mod to it, as the files for SA are corrupt and broken, and the "successor" no longer exists.

posted a message on Mods similar to Solar Apocalypse (countdown to doomsday)?

Since the original Solar Apocalypse mod has been apparently deleted by its creator and whatever remains having become corrupt useless files, and with the Elite Apocalypse having been dead for two years and whatever exists of it being nothing like SA, does anybody know of any alternatives to the Solar Apocalypse? Maybe something similar to it? Or any general world apocalypse mods that give me time to prepare while absolutely destroying the world?

I like timed challenges that can affect your survival.

I've been wanting to play with the mod for years, but didn't own Minecraft. When I finally buy it, all versions of it have either been deleted by the creator or no longer work (corrupt or broken).

It's upsetting, because this is probably the only apocalypse mod I've been the most excited for, and there are no others like it. :(

posted a message on Comet Impact/Impending Firestorm

I don't remember if I actually posted something like this here before, but it'd be a cool mod if implemented correctly.

As a game mode, you start off in a normal world. For the first day, everything is normal. Nothing out of the ordinary. On the second day, you can see a bright blue dot in the sky, and for five days, it grows. During the second day, you are informed that it is a comet that will hit the planet in six days.

On the seventh day, it will not be visible in the night sky. You will be informed that the comet has made impact, and that the firestorm will reach you at the end of that day.

As the end of the seventh day approaches, a wall of fire/lava roughly high enough to prevent the PC from catching fire itself will engulf the map over time. Anything caught in its path will be incinerated. It will kill all animal and plant life exposed, including the grass blocks, rendering them to infertile dirt.

The surface will remain uninhabitable for 30 in-game days. After 30 days, you will be able to explore and regrow the world.

I've seen similar events done in games like Roblox (Solar flare), but never gone past that. And with the solar apocalypse only being restricted to old versions, it'd be nice to have an up-to-date mod that would provide a pretty cool challenge, at least in my opinion. I've always wanted a mod that had an asteroid impact that affected your entire world.

Something like this: Wall of fire.

Sometimes, I feel like if a mod isn't going to be updated anymore and hasn't been for several years, it's best to just delete it.

I mean, seriously: What was the point of promoting it all this time and then just never work on it again?

Can someone just update this already? Not trying to be a ****, but people have been asking for an update for two years now.

posted a message on [Bug] Game "Stuck" in Creative Mode

Regardless of whether or not I'm on Adventure or Survival, my game still acts as if I'm in Creative. My hunger and health bar isn't present, though I can still die and eat, and I can still break blocks as if in Creative.

Does anyone else have this issue?

If you mean "out of storage space," then no. I have 1.2 GBs lef. The game has been lagging since the update a couple months back. I know others are having issues with this, but I'm wondering if 4J is ever gonna fix this?

I can literally be doing nothing in the game and it will suddenly lag to 1fps.

Is 4J ever planning on fixing this?

posted a message on Snow Covers EVERYTHING.

It really bothers me that snow covers only blocks and not stairs, fences, slabs and everything else.

While there's a mod that has snow cover everything, I think it would be better if this mod was integrated into the vanilla game. It would make snowy landscapes with buildings seem more amazing, in a way. Not to mention, it would make player made maps and vanilla maps seem so much better when snow is covering everything.

posted a message on Destroying Blocks outside Border?

I accidentally created Obsidian outside the map border in Creative, and it's permanently stuck there.

How do I delete or destroy it?

Ignore the 'spoiler'. No idea why it's there.

posted a message on Huron City, a realistic Minecraft City. MOVING TO NEW THREAD.
I'm jealous at how realistic the buildings look. It makes my buildings looks like building blocks. And I'm 16.

Where did you get the designs for the buildings? Did you make them yourself?
