    Quote from Qoseph

All they did really was change the land formation and add a few new biomes. What's the big deal?

Just the facts of life. There will always be that guy who thinks Minecraft is ruined with each and every update.

    Quote from dap300

I mean to them reinforce the launcher so pirated minecraft won't work

The only way that will ever happen is if Mojang goes the Sim City route.

I never thought I'd see the day when something mankind has been doing for over 5000 years would be considered 'modern'.

posted a message on Sticky keys need fixing
    Quote from MrEpicOne

Ok, here's how you fix sticky keys (And I've done this)

Step 1. Press shift 5 times to get the sticky keys notification to come up.

Step 2. Open the access with ease center or whatever it's called (Haven't done this in a while)

Step 3. Disable the notification. It will no longer open the sticky keys notification and interrupt your game when you press shift 5 times.

Please at least read the first couple of posts in the thread.

It always amazes me that people will refuse to educate themselves but still have no problem speaking their ignorant 'beliefs'.

Try reading up on what the SSP-SMP merge actually does. There's plenty of material all over the forums.

As long as you're not distributing the client to a third party what you're doing will be perfectly fine.

Just make sure you put it in a private folder so no one else has access to it.

No you don't. You can't multiply your core speed by the number of cores. It just doesn't work that way.

    a class 3 graphics card.
    This is absolutely meaningless.

Actual part names and system specs would help a lot more.
Look up how to do a 'dxdiag report' on Google if you don't actually know what you have.

posted a message on Graphics Problem
    Quote from gerbil

That's a problem with your video driver failing to render the textures.
It would happen only after a while under a circumstance like this:
    1) Your driver version has a bug that causes memory to leak.
    2) Your driver leaks memory over time
    3) Not enough memory left to perform additional rendering.
    4) Visual glitches begin
    5) ...
    6) Out of memory / crash eventually

To add to this, it could also very well be your system overheating.

Can't help without the model of GPU you have and which driver version you've updated to.

posted a message on Adventure in Minecraft: Almost no point

I was just saying that a large amount of mobs could not only cause problems in game play but also in performance. Minecraft does need a wild and dangerous feeling to match the already scary "everything is out to get you" feeling. Yes, it already feels dangerous but it needs a little boost.
But too many mobs could get a little overwhelming.

I single unique, semi-rare spawn per biome should add a lot of flavor without impacting performance or overwhelming the player.

Okay, I guess not. I wish they only spawned in taiga in that case. lol

I think they should give us biome specific aggressives, like crocodiles and things that spawn during the day.

I think strongholds were a good start, but it would be cool if we have above ground ruins.

I like the idea of biome-specific hostiles, would add a lot more flavor to the world.

Crocodiles/Alligators for swamps, bears for forests, scorpions or snakes for desert, sharks for ocean, etc.

They only spawn in taiga, unless you have proof otherwise.
