I'll restart. Day before reset = me deleting all of my worlds and embracing the new.

It's almost like converting into a religion, but without the ********.

And then he doesn't reach it and the update gets set to later. Bummerrrrrr

    Quote from CobraA1 »
Although, to be honest, I think the idea of removing religion from absolutely everything, including holidays, is going too far. Most people are religious, why can't they celebrate their holidays with their religious traditions? Is it really so horrible for people to be proud of their religious and cultural heritage?

In real life perhaps, but in a game the religious parts has no place. It's in no way going too far to remove the religious parts of holidays from games. Because: You might be Christian, and see nothing wrong in celebrating Christmas in your religious ways. However, for the other players that aren't Christians. They'd literally be forced to celebrate in the fashion of some other religion if they want to play the game. So either, they are given the choice of having Jesus thrown in their face or just to not play the game. That doesn't seem fair to me.

You see, I'm not Christian. I'm not anything religious. However, I live in a Country where Christianity is the dominant religion so I've grown up with it as a tradition both Christians and non-Christians celebrate. So to me, Christmas is about the family, the cozy times where everyone comes together and has a good time. And I love it when games can help at to that feeling. However, if it includes things like this:

    [] :Diamond: []
    [] :wood: []
    :wood: :wood: :wood:
"Altar for praying to God to get a good Christmas spirit!"

Then you can count me out of the gig. However, I would love to see this: ( :Diamond: = Snowball)
    [] :Diamond: []
    :|: :Diamond: :|:
    :Diamond: :Diamond: :Diamond:
    "A jolly snowman!"

Great idea, although the push and float pad should be the same thing but it differs from float to push dependent on you put it on a blocks vertical or horizontal surface.

Just out of curiosity, is it because you don't want the game or because you already had it when he/she bought it for you?

The CoD franchise should never have been born, when we're first talking of it :smile.gif:
I dislike mindless FPS games. Games should have the power to activate your mind, not just tell you "Shoot those people, and you win!"

On topic however, I think 1M is to exaggerate it, but if I had more money I would be willing to donate as long as I know it would go to development. Minecraft is the best sandbox game I've played in a looooong time..possibly ever :ohmy.gif:

I like this! But it should be a game mode, not implemented into the survival or anything like that. I know many wouldn't be able to enjoy the game thoroughly if they HAD to have the scary parts.

I think nothing will be more scary than the herobrine hoax though ^^

posted a message on No Spawn within Fences
So, I built a house to protect myself. Only to find out that creepers can just blow up the walls. So I fenced it in, only to find out that mobs can spawn inside my fence. EDIT: Now two creepers also spawned on top of my house. Damn it, if I wanted skylights, I would've installed them myself! -.-

Which brings me to the suggestion: Making mobs not able to spawn within the boundaries of an enclosed fence (or a fence with a door in it)

    What do you guys think?
Would this improve or impair the survival aspect of it?

posted a message on Leveling up?
    No, no and NO!

Horrible idea. We don't need another World of Warcraft. Ever since my time in MMO's and RPG'ing I've looked for a good game where you don't need stupid stats and levels to be good. Minecraft is perfect with it's current system, so leveling up would only ruin it. You'd have to grind things to be able to do and use higher level stuff. Leveling systems destroys about all games that has it. Even The Elder Scrolls has downsides with it's leveling. It makes more massive and uneeded differences in people, and it makes a game feel like work instead of fun. Take Monster Hunter for example. Now THAT's a good and addicting game. Because you collect stuff, and make stuff. Your ability to kill the big wyverns comes from skill and what you've acquired from hunting. Not because you've swung your sword a thousand times and gained super strength.
The only purpose a leveling system would give to Minecraft is make it more like repetetive work, and ultimately make the game bore the **** out of me from endless grinding.

It might be that reoccuring MIME type issue. I'll throw up a mirror nice and quick for you and see if it fixes the problem.

Download this, it's the normal Minecraft.exe launcher, don't worry it's ok to distribute since it doesn't come packaged with the JAR.

Thanks! I love it when referring to the support forum actually helps!

Also, in retrospect I'm pretty sure Alphanians solution would've worked too. Seeing as it not opening as an .exe file was the problem.
