Position: close enough to the sun that it is too hot to leave underground
The entire earth is underground. There is no heat in the center of the earth, but it does get hotter the closer to the surface you get. Giant caverns span underneath where humans have learned to live and adapt. A species of tiger like animals with nearly impenetrable scales take the place of horses and are the main center of transportation. Giant tunnels connect cities and steam runs all machines.
First off, I am not sure if this is allowed or not, but I thought it might not be a bad idea to try anyway. If it is against the rules, feel free to remove or delete the topic.
I am creating this thread for people to share their steam gift codes. If you are unaware, steam is having a special summer offer where if people click a certain link assigned to you, you can get free gift cards from steam. In this thread, people can share their steam gift codes, and other people can click them. If you do post a code, try and click as many other peoples links as possible, so we can all get some cards!
If you would like to post your code, all you need to do is copy and past your person specific link into the reply box. I do not mind if you say something also, but please do not make this thread into a chat thread, it exists for the soul purpose of helping other people get some free games! If you would like your own code, just follow the link below and it will provide you with your own!
All of these things are intentional, except mobs spawning in light, which they don't unless you have some kind of video proof of it happening.
Skeletons shoot faster if you are closer to make it harder to just run up and kill a ranged enemy. Use a bow and they aren't a problem.
The only reason Hunger drops faster in the latest version is because you lose Hunger for regenerating health. This is fantastic because it actually makes you care about taking damage. Before you could take damage and lose some Hunger from that, but as long as you could move a ways away you could get full health again for no Hunger cost.
The single player server was necessary. You say you don't like bugs? Well without that merge there would be way more multiplayer or single player exclusive bugs and every bug would have to be fixed twice, often in different ways. It also makes it easier to tweak the engine because you don't need to worry about something working in single player and not in multiplayer. You say it makes it more complicated but you don't give a reason and it makes it easier to develop for.
And the mob spawning in light thing doesn't happen as I said. If it does, give some proof.
Whatever happened to just enjoying being a kid. Stay young as long as you can and have fun. Go to school, get god grades, respect your elders and have fun with your friends. The work stuff is for later.
For me it becomes a different type of game when adding in a Let's Play series in a couple of different ways.
1) I prefer to play single player if I am not able to play with my close friends, however single player gets a little dull after awhile. So by doing a LP, it adds a multiplayer aspect to the game while still being a single player experience. Entertaining to an audience or not, it's more entertaining to me if I feel like I'm talking to someone else while playing. I feel like I'm sharing the experience, thus it's more enjoyable to me.
2) I think the subscribe and comment thing is part of a sort of meta-game. The more positive feedback that I get from my videos the more it reaffirms that the feeling in my first point. Thus increasing the enjoyment that I get playing Minecraft.
Overall I just like making the videos and it feels good when people watch and like them. I've been playing for 3 years now and I personally think that it's one of the best games that I have ever played. Is making LP videos original, heck no, but it's how I got into the game so it almost feels like one of the natural progressions that exist within the game/community. Some people make maps, some people build giant things, some like playing with redstone, right now I like making videos.
In the end it's just something that I am having fun doing and if some people come along for the ride, all the better.

A long distance relationship is fine, but if you've never seen eachother and are still dating I don't really see it as dating.
