Oh look, I'm back. I guess this if proof of what I've always known. The moment somebody says they're in for a quick tidbit on a sensitive subject, you can be completely sure that they will quickly return.
The argument that I intend to make is as follows: This thread is pointless. I hereby acknowledge that nobody will actually care about this post, and that this thread will run itself into the ground in its own due time. I still intend to give my 2% of an American dollar.
Contention one: The Bible cannot be proved or disproved through deep textual scrutiny. The Bible has existed for long enough to be altered, at least on a level that makes finding a logical fallacy questionable to the point of uselessness, or any given confirmed event past, present, or future doubtful at best. No matter how hard you stare at wordplay, you will never find anything conclusive.
Contention two: With any form of wordplay eliminated as a method of ascertaining validity, we are left simply with the contents of the Bible itself. Once again, these are a poor method of determining whether or not the Bible is "true", a concept that just got a lot harder to define thanks to my earlier contention. At this point, the only real arguments one can make are those regarding the teachings of the Bible, or those regarding the historical accuracy of it on a grand scale. Since nobody has been able to completely and decisively prove that a definitive procession of events mentioned in the Bible never happened (Do NOT mention Adam and Eve, that has its place on other threads), this isn't an option. And since there are already morality threads busy screaming at one another about the various commandments and moral philosophies, those can also be eliminated from this debate, lest we rehash old arguments. Furthermore, as mentioned previously, the Bible has been translated by a thousand different minds, places, and intents. The odds that some king didn't have the Bible tweaked a little to fit his desires are sitting somewhere in the single digits. Whether or not you believe God would keep his word in one piece, you cannot change the fact that important details for this debate can and will have been changed. At this point, all that's left to talk about is faith, a subject that has, like many things, already been beaten to death with a stick everywhere else.
Conclusion: Debating wordplay is not helpful to determining the validity of the Bible, because of translation issues over time. Neither side can draw anything conclusive from this kind of thing. Talking about historical events in the Bible is also pointless, because of the aforementioned translation issues that make a much bigger difference that you might think, as well as a large series of omissions that may or not have been made at some point. Morality issues have been exhaustively debated in other threads, and the conclusion that I draw from all of this is that we have nothing to talk about on this thread, and should let it die before things inevitably spiral out of control, the way they always do here on the internet.
This concludes the post that nobody will ever pay attention to amidst the firefight.

deathguardian97 posted a message on The bible-True or false?I'd like to point out a simple fact, and then leave:Posted in: Politics, Philosophy, News and Science
The Bible has been run through a thousand different translations and languages over the years, hand-copied by monks and shuffled through different interpretations, languages, and speech patterns through the ages. I am confident that the Bible was once accurate at least on a historical level at some point, but it's like a word document run through Google Translate a few thousand times now. What was once a story of warning is now a prophet summoning bears to eat children, that kind of thing.
You can all debate as much as you want, but it won't change the fact that we're talking about a history book from many different timeframes that's about seven steps removed from its original context and placement. You can point out logical fallacies and contradictions and think you're clever. You can point out fulfilled prophecies and think you're insightful, but the fact is that if you'd read the Bible in its original iteration, it's likely nothing you've noticed would even be there. If you want to toggle over to talking about religion, that's fine. But arguing over whether or not the Bible is the word of God by looking for contradictions or proofs inside of it is simply a waste of time and intelligence.
That is all. -

deathguardian97 posted a message on Hammers, Anvils, and Repairable itemsAlright, so quite often we find ourselves with armor and weapons down to their last use, and we don't have the materials to remake them! I propose that we have two more craft-able items. The hammer, and the anvil. Right-clicking on the anvil would create a menu, into which you would drop the item you want to repair, the number of ingots/material needed to repair it, and the hammer you want to repair it with. After that you just pull the repaired item out just like from a crafting table! Depending on how badly the item was damaged, you would need to put more resources into fixing it. (Example: a half health iron helm would take 2 iron ingots to repair. HOWEVER if you put in less ingots, you can partially repair it.) It would then damage the hammer and anvil slightly, and your item would be in it's best possible condition again. However, with every repair the item's max durability goes down by 10! This mean that eventually you WILL have to just remake the item. Repairing is just delaying it =P (Both hammer and anvil would break over time, hammer fastest, anvil, a lot slower)Posted in: Suggestions
This is a possible recipie for the hammer:

[][]
[] []
Or, as an alternative, it could just be a pick using stone instead of cobblestone.
EDIT: A suggested recipie for the hammer would be:
A mineral on top of a stick. An iron on top of a stick would repair iron or stone items (wood would be irrepairable) The better quality the mineral, the more durable the hammer would get and the better quality an item the hammer would repair.
Chart thingy:
Stone Hammer: Repairs leather armor and stone items, 10 uses
Iron Hammer: Repairs Iron armor and tools, and same as stone, 50 uses
Diamond Hammer: Repairs Diamond armor and tools, and same as iron, 150 or 200 uses
OBSIDIAN Hammer: Repairs Diamond Armor and tools, same as diamond, 300-400 uses
Obsidian hammer has been removed due to the fact that obsidian can be created infinitely and how common it is
(end edit)
The anvil would be crafted using iron
This is a possible recipie, though it doesn't look all that good to me
(Anvil would visibly crack every use, breaking around use 500, they're quite durable you know)
So, discuss, constructive critizism is welcome.
Discussion Topic(s): Unbreakable anvils and hammer recipe
It has been suggested that the anvil shouldn't eventually break and that the hammer is enough. Post your opinions!
jhart has proposed that the hammer recipe be changed to:
EDIT: Old GUI removed due to new idea. Here's the new GUI V2!

yoshi9048 posted a message on Food That Grants A Health Regeneration Buff Instead Of Instantly Healing YouHere's a way around this:Posted in: Suggestions
Update - Approximately 1/2 a second. 2 updates would be a full second. (using peaceful regen as a model)
* - Items with an astericks are preferred for their instant heal qualities where others require time-based regeneration.
*Bread - Instant 1 heart + 1/2 heart every update for 3 updates
*Cake - Instant heal 1 1/2 hearts
Cooked Fish - 1/2 heart every update for 5 updates
*Cooked Porkchop - Instant heal 2 hearts + 1/2 heart every update for 4 updates
*Cookies - Instant heal of 1/2 heart
Golden Apple - 1/2 heart every 5 updates for 100 updates
*Mushroom Stew - Instant heal 3 hearts + 1/2 heart every update for 4 updates
Red Apple - 1/2 heart every update for 4 updates
Raw Fish - 1/2 heart every 5 updates for 10 updates
Raw Pork - 1/2 heart every 4 updates for 12 updates
Rule of Stacking - Consuming multiple foods will NOT speed the healing; instead they are merely queued in a FIFO method of regeneration. All instant healings are applied instantly... As an example, eating 3 cooked porkchops will heal for 6 hearts and will heal 1/2 heart every update for 12 updates.
This actually makes golden apples beneficial and desired, they provide 50 seconds of slow constant regeneration. The only bad part is that other non-instant foods are locked out for those 50 seconds. A cooked fish will not regen until the 50 seconds are up. -

yoshi9048 posted a message on Lets Talk about BOSSES :DVery little thought of implementation and other factors.Posted in: Suggestions
I'll just leave this here:
MAKING A SUGGESTION
1) Premise and SearchingWhen creating a suggestion, it is important to remember that the suggestion is your brainchild, your idea, your thought! You more than likely want to ensure that you appear rational, educated, and interested in the opinion of others. You will need to be able to take hostile feedback and genuine criticism while avoiding the trappings of a petulant child. Yes, this means that you'll go in knowing that your article will be trolled and being mature enough to handle the criticism.
Minecraft, as you may already know; is a globally popular video game. Its forums are quite populated as well, this includes the suggestions forum. The unfortunate news is, that with the sheer volume of new one-time faces, it is approaching impossible for a unique suggestion to appear. The rafters are filling with repeated suggestions; and the thousands of pages lay buried as a hallowed cemetary, holding the unfortunate victims of circumstance. Because of this, current forum members, myself included, recommend that all posters use search before posting their suggestion.
2) ChampioningIt is unavoidable, on occasion, to find nothing through consecutive searches and feel it safe to post a "unique" suggestion only to find that it has INDEED been suggested before. Often, the referred suggestion is poorly stated, unreasonable, or broken. When you encounter a setting such as that, do not lose faith, bolster yourself.
If you spent 15~20 minutes to write your suggestion only to find some moron spent 3 seconds about a month ago on his. Yours clearly has more weight. CHAMPION your thread. Post on that loser's thread, referring everyone to your thread. If possible, get a mod to close that inferior thread and make your thread the "OFFICIAL" thread for that suggestion. As a champion, refer all others to your thread; if a new thread is started which is the same as yours, refer them to your article and report their thread as redundant (provide a link to your thread in your report AND reply). Do your best to ensure that your idea is well recieved and garners support.
AHEM!!!
Also take into consideration to think of other well-versed members as well. If you spent 15~20 minutes writing an article, and you notice another poster with a well-written and well-described article with considerable input of time as well; it would be disasterous to wage a war with this other person claiming that your thread is more official than theirs.
Private message the person and come up to a mutually acceptable result. This usually means to get the threads merged or one helps out the other. If their thread's existed for a while and has significant feedback, champion their thread! Make their thread your own. Help the other poster, back him up. It is still YOUR idea, nevermind that someone else shares it and has come up with it first. If you LIKE an idea, it doesn't matter WHO comes up with it, right? Right!
3) Solidarity and the power of VoiceWhat it comes down to is SOLIDARITY. If your suggestion is worth posting, it is worth solidifying. What better way than for strong intelligent individuals to build the suggestion from a dirt hovel to a magnificient castle? You can't get solidarity from making 300 suggestions that all say the same thing. Sure, there's popularity, but there is no voice; there is no power. No one will listen to you if you don't have likeminded individuals backing you up.
I've seen far too many people say that "more suggestions show Notch that an idea is popular" which sounds reasonable until the logic hits like a ton of bricks. Even if there's 300 threads for guns, they're not all going to be on a single page. They'll be spread throughout the 300 threads related to redstone, obsidian tools, backpacks, wolves, maps, armor tiers, pistons, etc. A single thread with 30+ pages shows solidarity and support far better than 30 threads about the same thing.
4) How should I write my suggestions?
Here's a good template:
The thread's subject head should always be a small sentence to help Notch or the reader quickly identify what the subject is about. Notch used the example: "Wolves should howl at the moon."
The body is involving and invasive, I'll break it down as best I can. I would say to have AT LEAST these parts. It would be preferable to have far more than what is prescribed though.
A) Introduction
The introduction is a short greeting of self or a quick rhetorical question; "Do you find it odd that wolves don't howl at the moon to signify night?"
The introduction should also include WHY you propose the suggestion, what purposes it can serve, and how you believe it will improve the game, "I think they should howl; it gives the player a clear warning of night. This can be very useful when in a cave so you know to get ready for a fight."
:cool.gif: Body
The body should always announce major points in detail. A good rule of thumb is it answer the 5 questions. Who, what, when, where, why? Ask these repeatedly toward different aspects of your suggestion. Why are the wolves howling? When do they howl? Why is this necessary? How far will the player hear the howl? What is the crafting recipe?
Come up with the answers. Invariably these answers will open more questions. Answer these, and keep repeating until your suggestion is fully fleshed out (to the best of your ability)
Ask more open ended "Do wolves have a howling animation?", "Can wolves attack while howling?", "Will wolves howl at a new moon?", "Will a wolf howl if alone?", again answer the questions, question the answers, then answer those questions. When done, you'll have a solid 3 or so paragraphs, possibly more.
C) Pros and Cons
What are the positive and negative effects. Make sure you get feedback from other posters and edit your op with the information you gather. Use this to strengthen or adapt your suggestion to a much more conducive system. This allows you to remove the cons and strengthen the pros (which will improve the success of the suggestion).
D) Recap and Conclusion
Restate the topic and body of the suggestion in 1 sentence, "I think that having wolves howl at the moon will be a great benefit to the players because it improves immersion, helps the player determine when it becomes night, and makes wolves look even cooler!"
Restate the pros and cons in a single sentence, "While I can see a few problems with this suggestion, I definitely feel there are more pros than cons and am interested in seeing this as a vanilla inclusion toward minecraft."
Make a few closing remarks, anything will work, "I am open to criticism to help improve the idea, I thank you for your time and hope to see some feedback!"
AND YOUR DONE... well... almost.
4a) You see, you cannot forget this. Even the brightest and well-educated can make a mistake. Some of us can't spell. It is important to use spell check and proofread to ensure that the material is truly worth reading.
5) RECEPTIONNot going to lie here, some ideas a better recieved than others. The suggested method listed above is intended to polarize your audience. Your audience is either going to be completely on-board with the idea or will reject it outright. This is actually desirable. You want true opinions and true commitments, "Meh" and "It's alright" are the bane of suggestors as it does nothing to improve the suggestion.
While shopping for an engagement ring, I had narrowed down the ring to one of two designs. When I asked a friend for help deciding , he told me that either ring looked good. Do you think this brought me closer to finding the engagement ring? I don't think I could have hit him hard enough when I got the response. While a suggestion is far more trivial than a marraige proposal, I hope you can see how it would be a boiling annoyance to get inept responses when you want solid feedback.
As a general rule, the more well-written an article is, the less likely the article is to be flamed. I've actually seen well-made gun suggestions which did not get outright flamed.
There are many tricks to writing a good suggestion, this is a lenghty comprehensive guide on how to write a suggestion; however, I would not strand you on your own.
If you ever have any questions about writing a suggestion, please feel free to private message me and I'll be happy to assist you in any way I can. -

Hey guys! I finally got the topic onto Get Satisfaction! If you really wan't to help get this idea noticed by Notch and Crew, please go to the link below and show your opinion! Thanks guys! Onto the actual topic!

The Actual Topic!
Welcome all, I have noticed that there are many different topics regarding things such as machines and new blocks and the like, but have not seen many topics about food, which got me thinking about all of the single use items in the game such as the bowl, milk bucket eggs and the like, and also made me ponder on how thing could work together to create better foods. Pleas hear me out on this and comment on changes if you'd like. I would like to point out that other than the cereal, I have tried to use only items currently in the game. I would also like to add the statement that I did create these images, I did not copy and paste them from other topics.

<1>
First up is the sandwich. It is simply a combination of two existing foods and is created by placing a cooked pork chop in between two loafs of bread. It could heal somewhere around 5 hearts, less than the total of all combined materials, but without the hassle of having to move each to your selector bar.
<2>
Secondly I present Ice cream. Again, like the rest of these foods the materials are already there to be used, they must only have a crafting recipe. This is created by placing three buckets of milk above two snowballs with a piece centered between them, and lastly a bowl to house the contents centered in the bottom of the grid. I suppose this would heal about 6 hearts due to the fact that some of the materials could be a bit difficult to get.
<3>
Thirdly comes fish and chips. This food item would be a combination of fish and bread housed in a bowl that would serve as a plate. Fish and chips would be created using the crafting grid by placing a bread loaf and cooked fish above a bowl, as before mentioned. The order of the two foods would not matter. By eating this food you would get 4 hearts back, and could keep the bowl. I thought this recipe would be interesting because it takes two foods that don't heal many hearts, and put them together to heal a medium amount of hearts.
<4>
Fourth most are sprouts. This recipe uses two seeds above a bowl, and heals only 2.5 hearts. This basically gives you the hearts that bread would, but requires no growing, but also yields no new seeds. You decide whether or not this would be worth the cons.
<5>
Fifth is a shishkabab. This food combines the two current cooked meats and outs them on a stick. This would heal 5 hearts and would be created by putting both cooked meats, the pork chop and fish, and put them in any order directly above a stick after eating you would get the stick returned to you.
<6>
Sixth is what I have dubbed as the "sunny side up" it is simply two eggs in a bowl. This would head 4 hearts due to the rarity of eggs, although they can be farmed, and is created by, you guessed it, putting two eggs above a bowl in the crafting table. The bowl is obviously returned.
<7>
Seventh is cereal. Now you may already be thinking 'Cereal is far too out of place in minecraft to be put into the game!' To this I agree. However, I am not speaking of colorful shaped bits of sugar with marshmallows and a prize in every box, I am talking about the original cereal, this being shredded wheat in milk. Presto. This is created by placing one sole unit of wheat above a milk bucket, above a bowl. This concoction would yield you 2.5 hearts when eaten, and the bucket and bowl would obviously be returned to its creator.
Alternatively, replacing the other idea could be a more difficult, yet more rewarding to make cereal. It would heal 3.5 hearts and would be crafted out of cooked meal replacing the wheat.
<8>
Eighth is pie. More specifically meat pie. This pie would give you 6 hearts, as it requires quite a bit of wheat. It is crafted by putting a piece of cooked meat in the center of the crafting table, and surround it with wheat on both sides, its top, and its topmost diagonal corners. Below it is a bowl to act as the pie tin. This food would be great at healing, but has a lot of ingredients that are required. The bowl is returned to you.
<9>
Ninth is the meat mix. It is a concoction requiring all forms of meat, cooked pork chop, raw pork chop, cooked fish, and raw fish, then by placing these above a bucket in the crafting table you are rewarded with a bucket of slop healing 7 hearts in total. This will yield you your bucket after eating as always.
<10>
Tenth are pancakes. This recipe would require two full rows of wheat, one on top and one on bottom of the crafting table, and in the middle row a bucket of milk, a pile of sugar, and an egg would reside in any order. This recipe would act as a three time use item, somewhat like the cake, except it would always be in your inventory when used. Each time you devour one of the pancakes you are healed 2.5 hearts.
<11>
Eleventh is meat stew. this stew would be the second in minecraft, alongside mushroom stew, and would require cooked meat and two seeds, a bucket of good old fashioned water, and a bowl on bottom, forming a + in the crafting table. This would heal just as much health as mushroom stew, that being 5 hearts, and would simply be an alternative way to get soup.
<12>
Twelfth is cheese. Cheese can be created very easily, by putting a bucket of milk in the crafting square. Due to how easily it can be prepared and obtained however, it could give you only one heart of health. If it is incorporated in minecraft it will probably be an ingredient to another recipe. As a different idea, instead of putting it into a crafting table, you would be able to cook it instead this would yield the same product, with the same healing, just with different methods of obtaining it.
<13>
Next taking slot thirteen is a basic sugar cookie. This would be a somewhat mediocre thing to obtain, and is created by placing a bucket of milk in the center of the crafting table, having a unit of wheat on either side and an egg on bottom with a sugar on top, forming a + shape in the crafting table. it would heal 4 hearts and the bucket would be returned ater crafting.
<14>
In the fourteenth place is a basic omelet. It is crafted by placing three eggs above three cooked pork chops in the crafting table. This would yield the eater nine hearts due to the rarity of eggs and the already established healing rate of cooked pork chops.
<15>
Please remember that this next idea is a joke! It is not actually meant to be implemented! (unless Notch likes it) Anyways, lastly, taking fifteenth place is the dust bowl. It is created by placing a bowl in the center of the bottom row in the crafting table, and then by putting each type of dust/powder in a + shape above the bowl. I would yield the user 4 hearts and would be the most random food to put in minecraft.
<16>
Meal would be used to craft cereal, it gives no hearts on its own, and cannot be eaten as is, but after roasting it in an oven/smelter, you would be able to use it to make cereal. It is crafted by putting a row of wheat in the miffle of the crafting table, with a centered steel on top, and a centered bowl on bottom, both of which would be returned, and are used as a mortar and pestal kind of thing. Each recipe makes 3.
<17>
Pumpkin pie would be crafted exactly the same as meat pie, except it uses a pumpkin inside of the wheat rather than a cooked porkchop. It heals the same amount of hearts, that is 6, and is crafted the same way.
<End>
To end this post I would like to state that it would be great if Notch implemented some, if not all, of these foods into the game, although I highly doubt it. I have created a banner for this topic if you guys want, and as far as I know this is how the code works. Please comment on changes that you would think to be better, and keep in mind that if you have any other ideas, I will try to add an update to the post. Also, as a final note, I would like to say that the values of hearts given are not permanent, if anything they are mere placeholders for the actual values. I leave you at that.

Denn posted a message on Pain ForestWho's excited for this? Pain Forest sounds like intense levels of manly-awesomeness, the likes of Minecraftians have only dreamed of thus far. What are your theories as to how this biome will operate?Posted in: Alpha - Minecraft Halloween Update
As the graph indicates, the Pain Forest seems to be in a max precipitation, max temperature environment. I predict that the region will periodically experience a TORRENTIAL DOWNPOUR of blood. Only the MANLIEST of men (probably those from Australia) will be able to withstand the intense acidity [sic] of the blood rain. Potentially, less-than-manly Mincraftians could utilize corrosion-resistant GOLDEN ARMOR to shield themselves.
The intense heat and awesomeness will be too great for the weak wooden structures that lesser men create, causing all wooden creations to INSTANTLY BURST INTO FLAMES. Even TREES will be unable to brave the awesome heat, and instead, only the super-manly IRON-TREES will find the willpower to grow in the Pain Forest and can only be harvested by a DIAMOND AXE.
Also, any water in the area will INSTANTLY EVAPORATE through processes only understood by SCIENTISTS and some THEOLOGIANS. Zombies in the area will have the skin melt away and only their SKELETONS will remain, and they'll shoot ARROWS from their STERNUMS. Spiders in the area will inexplicably grow TWICE THEIR SIZE, and maybe shoot fire, FROM THEIR THORAX [sic]. Creepers will still explode as usual, but their suicide will also release a LAVA SPRING from their REMAINS. Skeletons will mostly remain the same, except that their arrows will now BURST INTO FLAMES since they're made of wood. Your own arrows will tend to do the same. I think we can agree that this is AWESOME.
Sheep will INSTANTLY BURST INTO FLAMES, due to the high flammability of their wool coats. Only the manliest of sheep will remain, those with coats of PURE DIAMOND. Except these Diamond Sheep aren't DOCILE. Instead they will give up EVERYTHING in an attempt to KILL YOU. AND YOUR FRIENDS. They don't eat grass, they eat FIRE. These Sheep will shoot LASERS from their EYES. Also they can glide do to INEXPLICABLE means.
Pigs will spawn FULLY COOKED and ANGRY. They will lung at you and can jump FOUR METERS into the AIR. They will also GLARE at you disconcertingly from a DISTANCE. This will probably make unmanly men feel UNCOMFORTABLE. Manly men, however, will KICK THOSE PIGS' ASSES.
Cows can be milked for LAVA, but only if you're man enough to get close to them, since they are now equipped with a SHOTGUN. Their shot gun fires FLAMING BULLETS. Cows are dangerous and on a mission of VENGEANCE.
There are no chickens in the Pain Forest. Instead, chickens will have evolved into flying DRAGONS. Dragons breath FIRE through processes described as SCIENCE and HERESY. These dragons are MEAN, but are actually PRETTY COOL GUYS once you get to know them. But to get to know them, you have to RIDE THEM with a SADDLE, not in the SEXUAL WAY because that'd be GROSS.
Caves in this region would be DANGEROUS, filled with large amounts of LAVA and DEATH. When torches run out, THEY EXPLODE. The caves are lined with pockets of ADMINIUM (or whatever you dudes decide to call it). Inside the adminium are smaller pockets of DIAMOND, but you can't get to them because you are not MANLY ENOUGH since you're not AUSTRALIAN, unless you are, in which case you need BETTER EQUIPMENT. Dungeons in the region will be MAZE LIKE with TRAPS, possibly LASERS. There will also be deposits of coal, but they'll be on FIRE. Iron and gold will have been pre-smelted in the AWESOME HEAT. Redstone deposits may infact shoot LASERS even though that's IMPLAUSIBLE. But hey, so is Redstone IN GENERAL. There will also be deposits of TNT, which will explode when you **** IT OFF. You can **** it off by being smug about being manly, or being RACIST. TNT HATES racism.
Grass won't grow in the Pain Forest, since it would just BURST INTO FLAMES, or evaporate. Instead, the ground will be covered by the blood of LESSER MEN. Flowers that grow on this blood will want to KILL you, but will be unable to because they're FLOWERS. The sun doesn't shine in the Pain Forest because it's too afraid that the Pain Forest will kick its ASS. It's probably right. The moon, however, does rise, but it's RED and will shoot LASERS, that teleport you to the HELL DIMENSION which could potentially be on the MOON next to the DRACULA MOON BASE [source]. As it turns out, Dracula is a GOOD NEIGHBOR.
Anyway, this sums up my theories regarding the Pain Forest. I'm look forward to see what Notch does with this. My theory is that the Pain Forest is the ideal dwelling for HEROBRINE. Or at least it was, but he was too UNMANLY to survive and DIED EMBARRASSINGLY, which is something he REGRETS. - To post a comment, please login.

Gameplay: 6/10
Though I agree this would help us carry more stuff, I find Minecraft is easy enough already, and it needs to get harder, not easier. But I'll give you a 6 because it wouldn't be horrible
Creativity/Originality: 2/10
This has been suggested before. A lot. Like, 100+ times. I'm starting to get sick of telling people to use the search bar. This is in no way original and as far as creativity goes this isn't so hot there either.
Effort: 1/10
You didn't search and this post is barely a paragraph long. I see little to no effort in this post. You get a 1, ad be thankful it isn't a 0.
Extras: -1 for rule-breaking
Final Score: 1.3
Verdict: You should re-read the rules and learn how to search before you even think of posting again. Close this thread.

Minecraft isn't an RPG, and it isn't Terraria. You didn't say how these would make Gameplay tons better, and I can't see them making it better at all.
Creativity/Originality: 2/10
What originality? Of the many things you suggested, not one of them hasn't been suggested before. This idea is dead andflat-out stupid as far as originality and creativity go.
Effort: 0/10
You obviously put next to no effort into this idea. You didn't search ANY of the many ideas you posted, your idea was barely a paragraph of the post, and you didn't even take the effort to read the rules and see you broke 2 of them. Goose-eggs for you.
Extras: -3 for rule-breaking twice. Rounded down for rule-breaking.
Final Score: 3
Verdict: This idea is against the rules. And it sucks. I recommend re-reading the rules.

Why mine it up when I can buy it? Money ruins minecraft and is quite pointless. If you want it, get the iConomy mod.
Creativity: 1/10
Seen this idea before, this idea is hardly new. It's been suggested and said no to quite a few times.
Effort 4/10
You put effort into the post, but very little into the idea. PLUS you didn't search and learnt hat this is already suggested.
Extras: -1 for rules breaking
Final Score: 1.3

Creepers are the staple of MInecraft. Notch will not get rid of them or give you that choice. Get a mod. The no explosions mod still works with 1.5 I believe. That should solve your problem. And not 1/4 people hate them, 1/4 people who looked at this thread did. That's a far cry from everyone looking at it.
SOLUTION 2: Build your stuff in well lit areas. Your fault if you let it blow up.
