Wool armor would only be sort of useful if temperature (in this case, hypothermia) is implemented. Beyond that, it's just...Dyeable clothing. And you could make a skin for that.
Indifference is indifferent.

I'm sick of people like you. Actually read the op or shut the **** up, its all very clearly outlined.
I read it. It said nothing about anything that would improve the game. Maybe you need to read it and get off my damn back.

I support this. Would the usual thin layer-on-a-grass-block be underneath it all?
The snow layer would be on top of the snow, not the dirt.
So instead of:
Grass block with snow
And the shovel bit works well, seeing as you need one to get snowballs already. (I went months unaware of snowballs or snow blocks on account of this...)

A) We have TOO MANY fuel opportunities already.
:cool.gif: JUST USE THE TOOLS! They're tools!
C) You will never have little or no coal since you can make coal from wood now.
thats not the problem, the problem is having wooden tools wich are very slow and useless after you get a stone pick.
That's why you use them up, then just don't make any more if you prefer stone. They're tools. Use them as tools. There isn't a problem at all, except with players not realizing they can use tools as tools.

Possibly have all dungeon chests with a 50/50 chance of converting.
50/50 might be too common... but since dungeons are as rare as they are... that might be good.
Well, you have to consider the rarity of dungeons in general. And the cheapness of them. You get chests of items for nothing at all.
Apr 12, 2011Posted in: SuggestionsQuote from machornbeck »you could tell if you punched it because if it was a mimic it would go red.
Have it act as a normal chest by default. If "opened", it will convert to Mimic. Attempts to break will go as usual, but instead of finally breaking, it will pop open and attack - again, converting to Mimic. Mere punching, again, would do nothing.
Possibly have all dungeon chests with a 50/50 chance of being Mimics.
Apr 12, 2011Posted in: SuggestionsQuote from peu »yeah, I was thinking about that, that they should behave like chests until right click, but then I wondered why they wouldn't take damage. And now I decide they shouldn't take damage until activated so they can chomp your face and fulfill their purpose. Which also should mean that you can break them without fighting them though.
I'm on the fence
Make them unbreakable. They're technically monsters, not chests.
Apr 12, 2011Posted in: SuggestionsQuote from themohawkninja »Quote from peu »you can just punch an unknown chest right before you try to open it
True... at least then you would know... but it is still a mob, and you would have to fight it.
I was under the impression it only revealed itself upon attempts to open it...
I'd say 1.5 is an alright damage...Though as I recall from Final Fantasy, Mimics are pretty hard-hitting little bastards...

he means you slowly break your first 3 stone blocks with your hands, make a pick, mine the rest with stone since that's what you'll be using most of the time
Why not just break a tree, make a pick, then get stone?
As for me, I'd be screwed without wooden tools. I get caught out at night with all my stone stuff worn out, I need my emergency supplies, however lousy.
Better idea is just balancing the weapons somehow to make wood more useful.
