Looks good so far. I think you should make a few layers of wood blocks for the roof. Maybe 5-7 would do well. Sure, but can you explain more? I'm not sure I get it.
Wool wouldn't always be a good block to use as a floor. Try using the new stone blocks such as diorite, andesite, granite, stone, or wood as well. I wrote wood, not wool
Try using a different type of oak plank, maybe dark oak planks or spruce oak plants would look descent. I'll think about it (:
So I am working on my own design for a wooden house, and it seems like I can't do it totally on my own yet :/
the house's structure seems fine to me (two floors with a roof) but i need some tips:
1) what color of wood should i use?? using oak only looks boring as hell. give me also an idea about the floor, but i was thinking birch planks may look good.
2) The. Roof. is always my biggest problem! should I make it more flat? high? different? none? and what color of wood (or wood at all) should I use??
3) should the structure itself look different? it will not be where i will be in my survival world, but just kind of a simple homely place. i will have a cave system where i will spend most of my time. is there anything i should add/remove? ps. that ugly balcony will probably be removed/redesigned. yes I know it looks terrible.
Thank you guys for your opinions!! it would help me a lot!!
I think this is is so because Minecraft seeds only lay out the same terrain (the ground). The trees, ponds, and other stuff are laid out according to the code, not the seed's layout. I don't work with seeds often, so I'm less than half-certain that this is so.
Second try:
NOT close to spawn
Had to travel to the location shown
Didn't get there in the same amount of time.
No mods other than Optifine.
As I posted above the travel time is probably causing the difference. If you happen to teleport or possibly fly very quickly to that location there's is evidence that the world generator can't keep up and will produce a SLIGHTLY different world.
Again, what is the seed, Minecraft version, and the location of the screen captures???

I created the same world twice and found out that the world is identical, but with minor changes.
One world has a lake, and the other one doesn't. Here are the same seeds from the same perspective.
And you can also see that the trees are places quite different (the second picture is a world with added blocks of lapis and some trees removed and that's it. the first one is totally natural)
This is very strange because seeds are supposed to be identical. I would like to here an expert explanation.
Advantages: Excellent miner, saves the nature's shape, creative, full of ideas, good farmer, amateur builder
Disadvantages: Easily scared (jump off the chair when I see a creeper in a cave) and that usually makes me die (don't run in time or run to the wall or to lava), medium(-) at redstone, can't make decisions easily

Then I take tools and clean all the ores and light the place up entirely.

The version is 1.8.1 and I don't think the seed matters. See my massege.
