I have a feeling it will be much later than anticipated. In the latest snapshot (6/14/12 today) he added a feature (/publish) to allow people on LAN to join your game. This isn't nearly finished, so I feel it's safe to assume Mojang's gonna spend some time on this local server thing. I'd say another week or 2.
Quick question. Can I set Essentials up in a way so that a player can get a kit once, and never again after the initial use? I'm willing to try another plugin that can do this if available. I'm not switching from Essentials, as it has treated me really well so far; no problems whatsoever. And yes, I did Google it and came up with nothing. Thank you for your help.
Oops, my bad I figured it out :tongue.gif: For anyone else having this problem (It was pretty dumb of me in the first place not to know this) just make sure when you port forward you have the right internal ip. When you go to minecraft just type ":(port # here)" after your external ip. That was wayyy too obvious >.<
I already have a server 100% up and running through my ip address on port 25565. I wanted to try out bucket so I planned on running a seperate Bukkit server through a different port and ip. How do I go about doing this?? I set the port to 25566 already but how do I give it its own IP? any help is greatly appreciated.
So I installed the Minecraft_Server.exe on a different computer and I still get the same error. Is this a problem with the program itself? Am I downloading it wrong? The server itself works great, I just cant edit the jar.
I got my server all up and running, and now I'm having a problem installing mods. I can't edit the minecraft server jar without getting an error. I tried WinRAR and 7zip. 7zip says"Not implemented." and WinRAR says "Corrupt Archive" :/ I've looked all over the web and can't seem to find any solution, however this seems to be a fairly common problem. Here's a video for further detail -
Help is greatly appreciated, and thank you in advance.
-Edit: This is right after I booted my computer, so no Minecraft processes were running.
