Why would you want to be a tester?: I want to be part of a role-playing experience where everyone has in interesting characters and an interesting world.
Tell us your story of how you got into the Exodus spaceship:
It feels like a deja vu moment right now, as i sit here writing away in my notebook just like I did those many years ago. Every chance i get i flip back to the beginning of the notes to remind myself of the day I cannot forget.
I was 24 at the time, writing away in my mother notebook about my experiences in Henley Prison. All of a sudden I could hear the commotion of the prisons down the hall, rumbling and making quick whispers like rocks in my pocket. I looked out my window to see an orange haze fall over the jail courtyard and all the land behind it. Yellow bursts popped into the air high above the jail. "What the [email protected]#? Is going on James?!" shouted Kezza from his bunk. "Get up man, $%#@ is going down, grab your things". The red siren lights blared over the prison and all the rusty jail doors swung open. Like a stampede the herds of convicts and killers flooded down the hall chanting "Freedom, Freedom", if only they knew what was about to come.
I stuffed this diary in my pillowcase, grabbed Kezza by the arm and was about to follow the flood of men when we heard the screams and gunshots down the hall where the exit was. We pushed through the crowd, heading for the opposite end of the hall. "Officers Only" was pasted on the door front, we didn’t care for trespassing if it meant saving our lives. Like rats in a maze we scrambled through sets of doors and small offices before reaching the cafeteria loading dock. Large black vans where getting crammed with supplies and police officers dressed in the same shade of midnight black, like some sort of swat team.
"Kezza!" I shouted, while pointing to a van full of boxes and folded linen. I ran for the back doors of the truck, and hurled myself into the back of the truck. Kezza ran for his life, I could see the hope in his eyes. Two of the men dressed in black armor grabbed him by his ankles and threw him to the ground, the truck doors closed. I hopped up and pressed my ace to the window, Bang! They shot Kezza in the back of his head and ran off for one of their vans. I screamed and hit the glass with my tattooed fist. That is the day I cannot forgot, the day I lost my brother.
All the vans drove off onto the highway in a single file, i even heard the sound of a helicopter above. The vans drove silently into the orange hazy sky. Pff! Pff! It wasn’t over yet, from my tiny widow at the back of the truck I see one of those yellow bursts fly down and hit a van behind us, tossing it off the road. Pff! Pff! Pff! The truck m in gets hit, i feel the gravity change and we get thrown into the air. The last thing I remember is my body, laying on the highway surrounded my blood and tragedy.
I woke up here, somehow alive and somehow in the middle of space. So far in this cold and possibly empty ship I’ve been continuing my story in my mother’s notebook.
