This mod was made for the purpose of making useless ender dragon eggs hatcheable, you can tame the dragon like a pet and make it ride for you and soar in the skies. Once managed by BarracudaAta4 revived by me, TheRPGAdventurer . This mod however has dragon armor(for player and dragon) / tools and firebreathing dragons (added by me), higher dragon health and immunity.
To hatch a dragon egg, you'll need to find a good place for it first. If you found one, place the egg block and simply right click it. The egg will then start to hatch, which will take a while.
Once grown up, you can tame the dragon with raw fish. It will then follow and protect you like other pets.
You can command tamed dragons to lay down or stand up with the bone item.
To ride a tamed dragon, shift + right click then add the saddle in the inventory, can be added with chest, or armor
To heal injured dragons, feed it with raw fish, chicken, beef or porkchop (four hearts) or with rotten flesh (two hearts).
To obtain your dragon armor craft some diamond shears and right click a dragon just like sheep and craft the dragon scales into dragon armor tools etc. just like how you craft vanilla armor.
Breed Pallet
Elemental breeds (Water - Aether) can change breeds while they are in egg stage by using blocks that corresponds to their breed, special breeds (Nether - Wither) cannot, for they are too powerful.

Elemental breeds can change breeds while in egg stage (be sure to right click the egg block first), while special breeds cannot change breeds for they are quite too powerful or too unique.

Realm Of The Dragons is a remake of a previous mod called Dragon Mounts. How to tame your dragon! (pun intended)
Right click an egg to make it hatch.
Once it's hatched! Tame it with fish(any kind). The hatchling can be tamed and told to sit by right clicking with a stick and attack like other pets, but it cannot fly. A hatchling is as big as an adult Wolf.
Watch it grow into a juvenile (teenager in human terms). Notice it health and size increased a bit.
Now your dragon is an adult, once saddled, it can be ridden and flown to the skies. It has reached Maximum Health and Maximum Size. It may look small but try to compare it with a Horse
Finding Dragon (pun also intended)
Find Gem Dragons in Extreme Hill biomes || Underground.
Find the Nether ones in the Nether(Thanks cap)
Find the Ender Egg in the Ender Dragon Nest after defeating the Ender Dragon(Note: There is only one of it per world so better take care of it! :D)

Obtain them via diamond shears or killing them in a ferocious battle, then use it to craft your tool/set armor

Ok, since you people like the old one. I will return to the old R&F flight like in the old one but F is used in vanilla by switching left to right hand items. so I will use SPACE and X.
So I tried out the newest version for 1.12.2 and dragons don't seem to be able to breathe fire when I press the corresponding hotkey. Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to feed them something first or what? Anyways, absolutely love everything else!

I know 1.9 combat sucks but removing is not a solution devs took time to make the system and just remove it? We could just improve it you know, I know what you want. it isnt the combat system with shields are bad. its only the cooldown system and I think they need to reduce the cooldown time for swords, personal opinion the cooldown for axe tho should beincreased a little bit.

But that sort of thing (regular updates) is what makes Minecraft still afloat. Since its inception, Mojang has done many, many updates. If you look back at 1.0 it looks like an entirely different version (that's why some people complaining about 1.10). Mods are nice, the community is getting more mature (looking at you, CrazyCraft!), but it's different universe. Some people consider playing vanilla-only, many don't enjoy modded.
Agreed, especially with the fact that mods don't support other platform, mods don't consider performance fix, and mods don't fix bugs. Also, Mojang can be seen as lazy developer if they just grab all the money and spout the usual "just use mods" or "bugs? just wait till the community fix it"
This mod impressive me, it's probably the best mod I've ever seen!

shiny pieces can reflect, right?
Why not use a shiny scales, for example, in crafting a shield to fight gorgons? When gorgon looks, shields self with a shield and its reflection turns it into stone.
in the last update, dragons can not fly far from their nests. But I had a case when the dragon was sleeping near his nest. And I could pass and plunder the nest without waking the dragon.
I wish the dragon would wake up and fly to the nest when someone approaches close to the nest. Or, if the dragon despawned, then he respawns in his nest, if the player is close.
Also, it would be nice to see werewolves in this mod.
I think the death worms might be a bit buggy with water.
There as a river that crossed the desert and in the water where a bunch of death worms just floating there spinning in circles. If you hit them, they'd snap out of it, but move a bit away and they'll start spinning again, making them super easy to kill.
On the same notes, dragons are also kinda easy to kill in water because they'd swoop down to grab you, get in water, then slow down a lot letting you whip out your bow and snipe one down at your leisure. The dead body tends to be harder to loot since it ends up underwater, but I feel that's a minor inconvenience for being able to kill a dragon with a bow and a bunch of arrows.
Oh this is awesome. As much as I love the Ice and Fire mod, I think this mod has it's own charm and identity. I'm glad you brought back some of he features from the Eragon Mod.
