NEVER ever use BOTH, modloader and forge, together :P
That's the fault why nothing will work :D

take a clean 1.5.2 version, only install forge (since more mods use it i guess) then do the thing with /mods etc.
    You'll be fine ;)
    Hope it works, good luck^^

I have force updated whenever I crossed over. I used forge, and I dropped it in /mods. It didn't register. I did it with other HUD mods though, and they worked. Is it something to do with the Download I am using?

I really can't understand how people are not able to install "mods" xD
If there's nothing saying "put this into minecraft.jar" or "this goes into the coremods-folder", then all you have to do... is put it in the "/mods" folder... not more... not less :)

Have you got forge?? install it by putting the files in the .rar into your minecraft.jar (located in /bin)
then start minecraft once, it will put some new folder in your minecraft MAIN folder....

there's a folder called "mods" now, there you will put every mod (let it in the .rar or .zip format)

hope you will get it :P
I've done exactly as you said like five or six times. I've used both Modloader and Forge, (Doing a force update when I switch). Every single time, I log in, but there are no traces of the mod. Its not in the mods section, and its not in the controls. It's aggravating. :3

Could someone please make an installation guide video? I am having a bad time trying to install this mod, and I really want this experience. If you can't make a video guide, can you give me detailed instructions? BTW, I'm a coding noob. :( Could you help a player out? Thanks!

In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is: Power-emoting is when a role-player does an action that effects another player or party, but does not give the other party or player any say in the result of the action. In-Character Details

    Character Name: Rhonir “Ron” Draug
    Character Race: Wood Elf
Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: Rhonir Draug was born in a small wood elven camp and was born with a gift. His arrow seldom missed its mark, making him a brilliant archer. At a young age, Rhonir trained heavily in archery, making him a great hunter. His proficiency in the skill of archery was vast, as was his cunning. Never chancing something directly, Rhonir always thought of something strategically, whether it be hunting or travelling. He always devised a plan to maximize on any opportunity.
Another thing that was unique about Rhonir was his appearance. He had brunette hair. This was incredibly rare amongst the Wood Elves. The hair was a bit choppy, for he did not like his hair styled or dyed. He was about 18 years of age at the time.
The best instance of his skills and personality was the crafting of his bow. When he was about 14 years of age, he decided to make his own bow. Armed only with a knife, he ventured out into the woods to create a bow. After searching the woods for a suitable tree, Rhonir found a strong and tall yew tree. Using his agility, he climbed to the top of the tree and found a suitable branch. After sawing the branch off, he made his way to the bottom of the tree and constructed a fire. A green, wet bow would lose its power in days. To dry it out, he had to dehydrate it. He cut the green wood into thin, wide strips and laid them vertically, to produce a layered effect. Using tree resin as a glue, he molded this layered composite of wood into a recurve bow shape, using branches to create stilts. While watching the glue harden and the water evaporate out of his yew bow, Rhonir contemplated his life. He was always accepting and kind to others, but he would get aggressive if provoked. He always said thank you for the animals he killed for sustenance, and tried violence as little as possible. After a long wait, the bow had finished drying, and was hard, yet supple. It had a draw weight of approximately 80 lbs. But it was not over yet. He still had to string the bow. He searched for several hours, and eventually found spider silk and linen stalks. Twisting these two fibers together he weaved an extremely strong string, and he used beeswax to water proof it.
After stringing the bow, he applied beeswax to water proof it. Little did he know that he would have to use that exact bow for the first time. As he was sleeping, he heard a rustling. Instantly, his senses were alert. He used his keen ears to pinpoint the rustling of the sound. The moment he turned to it, which was a small brush, a giant bear erupted from it, less than 10 yards away. The bear bolted towards him, and Rhonir instinctively drew his bow, selected an arrow, nocked his arrow, sighted, drew, and released within two seconds. The arrow imbedded itself in between the eyes, killing the bear instantly. The bear tumbled forward with its momentum, falling within a yard of Rhonir. Rhonir drew breath and muttered thanks to the bear and skinned it. He returned home with a new bow, and a new confidence.
Little did he know that that bow would save his life again in four years. The time passed idly, and Rhonir was even more adept at his archery. But tragedy soon fell on him. As Rhonir was sleeping, a massive earthquake triggered a massive landslide, which came hurling down the mountains. The camp was aware far too late. Rhonir ran out of his home tree as fast as possible. As the camp was retreating, a massive fissure erupted between Rhonir and the rest of the group. Rhonir, running for his life, fell down. Grabbing his bow in time, Rhonir wedged each end into the rock walls, saving his life. He was left dangling there, with his bow permanently disfigured. Knowing he had to leave the bow, he climbed on top of it by swinging and balanced on top. Sighing and muttering farewell, he climbed up the rocky cliffs of the fissure and came to see the ruins of his former home. Knowing his family was far away, Rhonir grabbed what little supplies he had left and bid farewell to his home. He sought out a mission: a mission for stability and peace. He sighed and decided to finally see the world. He set out for the big city of Normandor.
What are your characters ambitions?: Rhonir wishes for violence and war to end, but will not hesitate to fight if the fighting brings peace. He believes that there is a definite good and bad in the world, being young and naïve. He wants for there to be peace and will do what he can to achieve that goal.

Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: Note: Not being able to find up to date lore, I used lore of the Asulon wiki. Forgive me if it is out of date.

    Open-Response-Questions

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? Upon entering the city, the first thing I notice is the ***** appearance of the denizens of the settlement. They had much more rugged faces, and the men had some sort of hair growing from their face. Their shoulders were broader and they were taller. I suddenly felt short, surrounded by their towering figures, which were a foot over me. I shuffled awkwardly down the road when I heard a man say, “Come one come all! Buy the finest metallurgy in all of Arethor! Arrows, swords, maces, shears, I have them all!” When I heard him say arrows, my ears perked. My quiver was near empty and I felt vulnerable. I decided to walk over to the source of the callings.
Upon nearing the source of the calling, I saw the store. My first observation was the lack of customers. Almost no one cared about the wares. My second observation was the peddler. He was not a human, like most others of Arethor, but a Dwarf, seeming miniscule in comparison to his tall neighbors. I did not understand why no one seemed to care about the Dwarf. I walked to the shop and asked, “May I purchase three dozen arrows, please?” The Dwarf seemed shocked and then delighted at the arrival of a customer. He said, “Sure. That’ll be…” He did some quick calculations. “Fifty Minas please.”
I searched my purse and found the sufficient funds for the purchase. As I handed over the Minas I asked, “Why does no one wish to buy your wares? They seem of very good quality.”
The dwarf smiled and said, “Not’ll of them are as open and kind as you, laddie. I’m different, ya know. ‘Cause of that, they see me as lesser.”
I frowned and said, “That is not true.” I was puzzled why they would ignore him simply because he was ‘different’.”
He smiled sadly and said, “What’s true isn’t always what is.” There was a pause as I that sank in. Then he said, “I’ll get yer arrows,” and scurried off.
I thought about what he had said, about the segregation of others. I knew that was wrong, and I wondered why people did it. Whilst I was in deep thought, the dwarf interrupted and said, “Here are your arrows.”
I smiled and said, “Thank you.” I examined the arrows. They truly were fine. I had never seen such sharper points. I exclaimed, “These are truly amazing!”
He smiled again and said, “Thank you for coming.”
I thought for a second and reached into my purse. I pulled out ten Minas and laid them on the counter. I said, “You deserve it.”
The dwarf smiled graciously and said, “If only more were like you.”

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? As I wandered down the long Oren Road, I saw a strange sight. I saw an Orc shouting accusations at a dwarf and threatening him. I crept over to that sight and hid in the bushes.
The Orc growled, “Yu’ll pay the price for what yo’ve done to me, foolish dwarf!”
The Dwarf only appeared to be a small boy. “I’m sorry! I’s starving, and I’s lost my parents. I needed de bread!”
The Orc snorted and roared, “You stole from me! Fer that ye must die!”
The child started panicking and began to bolt, but the Orc caught him by the scruff of his vest. He said, “Face me dwarf! I WILL SETTLE THIS!”
The boy started to cry and said, “I’m sorry! Please spare’m! I haven’t eaten in weeks.”
The Orc spat at the boy and threw him on the ground. He spat out, “Coward!” and raised his axe.
This was too much for me. I intervened. I yelled, “DON’T!” and sprang from my cover.
The Orc was startled and growled, “Filthy, puny elf! Get out of here before I gore you.”
I was angry and had resolve. “Do not kill innocents. He is only a boy.”
The Orc rose to his full height, towering a good three feet above me. He growled, “I will tell you once more elf. Get out.”
I stood my ground and spat out, “No.”
The Orc, standing 10 yards away, raised his axe. Within one second, I grabbed my bow, selected an arrow, nocked it, drew back, and aimed. I said, “It only takes one shot to pierce a heart. And I don’t miss.”
The Orc spat out, “I do not fear death, puny elf!”
I quickly changed plans. I aimed the arrow down a centimeter. I said, “If I shoot, you will never fight again.”
This took the Orc back a little, but he did not stop. He said, “THAT’S IT ELF! YOU ARE DEAD!”
He started charging and I shot the arrow into his calf, severing tendons. He howled in agony and said, “CURSE YOU!”
I said, “Leave now. Do not bother this boy again.”
The Orc began to say something, but gave up halfway. He limped back the path.
I turned to the boy and said, “Here are some Minas from food. Don’t get into trouble again. Stay safe.”
He looked scared again and said, “O-O-O-Orc!”
I turned around and drew my knife to see a barreling 300 pound orc charging at me. Without hesitation, I threw my knife right at the barreling figure, and hit him in the chest. With his momentum, he landed a yard away from us. I knelt by him, closed his eyes and said, “Rest now.” I then retrieved my knife and cleaned it. I turned to the boy and said, “Get away. It is dangerous here”

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenseless man. What does your character do?: As I was walking down the road to Malinor, I saw an old man walking down the road as well. Having seen no signs of life for my entire trip, I began to walk up to him and engage in conversation. Suddenly, as I was walking to him, his feeble walking stick snapped in half. The man fell to the ground with a sickening thud and a bag of minas split open beside him. Shocked, I bolted to him and asked, “Are you okay, sir?”
The old man groaned. He said, “I think so, but my walking stick, without it, I’m stuck here.”
I grabbed a bag from my pack and quickly put all the minas in it and gave it to him. I then said, “I will take you to the side, so I may fashion you a new walking stick.”
The man’s eyes seemed to glisten and said, “Thank you laddie.”
I hefted him up gently and carried him over to the side of the road, gently laying him on a bed of soft grass. I then pulled out my knife and started sawing off a branch of a nearby elm tree. After cutting down to the appropriate length, I bound the handgrip with leather. I presented it to him and said, “This should suffice.”
I helped him stand up and steady himself. The old man said, “Thank you my boy! How can I ever repay you?”
I smiled and said, “Your gratitude is sufficient. Now stay safe, friend.”
I grinned as he hobbled his way over to Malinor.

THIS IS THE POST YOU HAVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR. Today is the day. After hard work, Sherlock City Modern Roleplay survival server is READY for.... BETA TESTING! Thats right. Were not fully open yet :( HOWEVER, its a major step forward. Anyone currently on the white list will be able to log onto the IP that will be posted in a few hours! (Most likely at 10:00 EST) Heres how the beta will work:

The world will be up and running, with 24 slots. First come first serve. If we honestly have 10+ people who cant get on due to full capacity, we will upgrade within a day. Please note that many plugins are still glitchy and need to be weaved out. You will log on to find the rules and commands room. Please be patient as you possibly can with our staff and our server as this is going to be either a major success or a crushing disaster depending on how mature you can act.

For those of you not on the white list: I will not have time to go through them all. However I may have someone who can. Could go either way. Im so sorry for the inconvience but we have ALOT of apps.

Finally I cannot garentee anything will stay or go on the server. Just over all be patient and relax. Thank you all so much.

I would like to thank the following people for really and truley helping us get here to this point.

opercentfat: Co owner and head admin, thank you so much. This person here has done almost as much work as I have. He perfected the texture pack and created our banner. Thanks Dan.

    My mother!: jk

Origin_Lark: Lets face it without you our applications would be 50% worse. You really show dedication.

Sylash: Thanks for all the good ideas and help you have produced for us. Nice work.

    See some of you SOON!
Will you be sending some of the IPs to us via email? And also, I may not be active tomorrow. I apologize, but we may lose power, so... yeah! Can't Wait!

No arguing on the forums :P also Origin_Lark you cannot involve IRL thoughts and dislikes into your RP. You could hate billy bob joe to DEATH in real life, but if your character JUST met jeff, (Billy bob joes character) Then you are FORCED to treat him as your character would treat a newly found stranger. If you or anyone else does not do just that, its Meta Gaming. That is exactly what meta gaming is.

Now that thats all cleared up, time for an UPDATE!

Nothing much new, but we hope to have the server up in two days. Were just waiting on some permission files. Thank you all so much for your patience and support!
It is torture, just lurking around on the forums like a stalker... I'm watching you right now sherlock!

Okay so first off if you kill me that would be bad because I'm the daughter of the president icly and if you kill me you will be hunted down and killed. second why do you even care if people make bad apps. They probably don't care. Third does it really matter if you get "banned" for 2 minutes? Its 120 seconds of your life where you could be doing something that could get you somewhere in life. If you think that rule is dumb then you are addicted to mine craft. Also may I remind you that you are not the owner of the server so the owner could care less about what you say.
Good Point. +1. Origin_Lark, no offense, but you are taking this a bit too far. You are probably excited for the server. I get that. But you don't have to go threatening everyone and telling them what to do. That is sherlock's job.
