Yeah, it seems to happen to me too. Except with pigs, and I'm never around when it happens. The ground just mysteriously sprouts up ham. It's actually kind of convenient really.

Ham Rain! Please no one make a ham rain video based off Chocolate Rain video.

    HAMMY RAIN
SOME STAY FULL AND OTHERS FEEL THE PAIN
    HAMMY RAIN
A BABY BORN WILL STARVE BEFORE THE MEAL

    HAMMY RAIN
THE COOK BOOKS SAY IT CAN'T BE MADE AGAIN
    HAMMY RAIN
    etc etc

    GO GO! MAKE THE VID!

Though I am quite curious why anyone even uses wiremod when they could just use ingenuity with the basic tools.

You can't do stuff you can do in wiremod without wiremod unless you wanna use numpad PSSTTHHhh

If all you want to build why dont you go to creative? It's called survival multiplayer not "everyone build and do nothing but the same thing as creative but take longer online! "

What does wanting actual online pvp have to do with using a cheat engine to get 9999 tnt? I'm not supporting hackers, if you even read any of my posts I never mentioned hacking. Obviously if one player is "griefing" and I don't just mean playing the game in the way it's supposed to, then an op can step in and ban him from the server. Each server will be different if you want a ***** server then go to one with butt-hurt ops that ban everyone. If you want actual survival online then go to one where there aren't any restrictions other than obvious griefing like water spamming someone's base and etc.

Fyi, castles weren't owned by 1 person. If you're building something huge you'll need a clan or group of friends to protect/build it. Bases have to be the size that you can protect if you're only yourself then you'll be forced to have a small cabin in the woods.

If all you want to kill everything in sight why dont you go to any of the thousands of other killing games? It's called survival multiplayer not "everyone hide and kill anyone who is foolish to think that survival multiplayer will be about people interacting "

What does wanting actual online pvp have to do with just building non-functional structures but taking longer to do it? I'm not supporting people who don't do anything but build, if you even read any of my posts I never mentioned not playing. Obviously if one player is "not building" and I don't just mean playing the game building in the way you're supposed to, then a douche can step in and camp him. Each server will be different if you want a recluse server then go to one with ops that do nothing. If you want actual interaction online then go to one where there aren't any things preventing destroying any structure above land like deletion times for blocks and etc.

I think notch needs to add modding support so that way we can make what we want, I'd get bored of the same thing anyways, cooperatively surviving against monsters would be fun at times and other times I want to go online and survive against other players. I'm not all against the ideas of the anti-pvp guys, but they're trying to force their ideas on everyone else.

I think notch needs to add modding support so that way we can make what we want, I'd get bored of the same thing anyways, being a recluse while surviving in a small room would be fun at times and other times I want to go online and cooperate with other players to build a structure with working parts that creative doesn't have. I'm not all against the ideas of the anti-cooperatin guys, but they're trying to force their ideas on everyone else.

That's not what I'm saying is the point for pvp. It's to build but you have to survive against the other players rather than just having creative that takes longer oh and at night theres monsters.

Anyways I'm done derailing this thread, I'll be in the other one that's meant for discussing this.

@Clearbook you could do this with a torch for a long time now...

Step 1: remove bottom block of sand while holding a torch

Step 2: Place torch before sand/gravel hits the bottom, but not too soon or it will stay on top of the torch and not fall.

    Step 3: ???

    Step 4: profit.

If he ruins the game by making "land claims" then I'll not play that ********, go play your carebear mmos if you dont want to actually have to rebuild *gasp*. The point of the game is to have to survive. I plan on being a raider and conquering other kingdoms to rule myself with my clan. Or you could play single player if you're that worried about silly griefers.

Except there will be nothing to "conquer" if you can destroy bases as easily as in single player now.
No one will build anything if it takes zero effort to raze. Look at all the empty servers in creative multiplayer now. The only servers where you can see players are the ones with several layers of anti-grief protection.

The point is that if you want people to bother building anything then there must not be a huge gap between the effort and time needed to build and to destroy something.

Or just get a bunch of facepunchers in a joint effort making the community fortress, people would be on at most times defending it and raising hell for others.

I guess there should probably be settings for servers on whether it's carebear(that's the one you guys want no killing destroying or anything, basicly creative but it takes a **** load of time to get blocks hurr durrr), peaceful(land claims and pvp in certain areas), normal(no land claims and pvp anywhere)

To the above, isn't there like planned zombie survival modes or some ****? That's different from survival it's wave of monsters that you and whoever else is on has to kill... Kind of like build to survive game modes in other games. You get like 5 mins to build your guyses fort and then a wave of mobs come and you have to survive.

If he ruins the game by making "land claims" then I'll want my money back, go play your carebear mmos if you dont want to actually have to rebuild *gasp*. The point of the game is to have to survive. I plan on being a raider and conquering other kingdoms to rule myself with my clan. Or you could play single player if you're that worried about silly griefers.

So it is a horrible thing to not want to have to repeat days of work that was wrecked in under 10 minutes? If there is no land claim method, everyone playing SMP will either be a loner, a raider, or never able to build anything. Besides, what will prevent a rival clan from leveling your buildings while you sleep? Your inventory cannot carry that much, and you will need to store it somewhere.

That's why you build it hidden. Nothing does, that's why you suck it up and learn from what you did wrong and hide it better. What fun is it to go. LOOK EVERYONE AT THIS FORT I MADE hurr durr wat now... we can't really have a war or anything  and that's the reason for creative.

posted a message on Trouble finding the new mob spawning cages...
Just go to an above ground cave go as deep as you can you won't have to mine your way there, and then at the bottom somewhere or around the middle or something there will be fire, and cage, and mobs being spawned.
