I got myself a Realm yesterday and stumbled upon a village with a stronghold next to it. My plan is to expand the village into a thriving city safe from all hostile mobs, even at night.
The current plan is to:
1. Expand the village so more villagers can move in.
2. Build a HUGE wall around the village so mobs can't get it.
3. Light the area within the wall.
4. Restore the stronghold to it's former glory.
5. ???
