    Some people even think that (char)coal needs to be farmed, but just check out these stats to see why I disagree even more there, or lapis for enchanting being too hard to get; I got enough lapis to enchant over 1,600 times at level 3 even if it had been mined without Fortune III, which gives you 2.2x as much (same for coal and everything else except redstone); and while that was in a month of playing several hours a day, mostly caving, you can still get a lot in one play session, enough to last for a long time, just have to find a good cave, although that is harder in 1.7+, compared to the obscenely huge caves in my worlds or pre-1.7, unless you mod them (I mostly just explore caves for the exploration aspect, mining out whatever ores I find).
    Not everyone wants to mine constantly to get this, everyone enjoys the game differently.


    PS. To the above poster that mentioned they may nerf gold farms, Just found out gold farms too were nerfed......

    as for abusing game mechanics, maybe, but it takes some cleverness to learn to abuse these mechanics. Not saying its right but now it will take a while to manually get enough Iron for a beacon (Only real reason I liked Iron farms). And Hoppers now will be pretty rare too as Iron will be mostly mined, however the Iron farms still work but the way they will work should/may produce lag....

    So guess we shall all go mine Iron while the Iron golems stack up produced lag now that we have to manually kill them in order to receive Iron.

    What does everyone think of this change?

    Im disappointed the weaponsmith villager trades enchanted weapons, IMHO they should just trade regular weapons. Have an enchanter villager that will offer to enchant these weapons alongside the new cleric villager.

    To all those saying they would be like enderchests, well sorta, If they just made lockable chests unbreakable until empty as well, otherwise I could see people placing a chest, filling it up, locking it, breaking it and moving it back to base. Making it unbreakable until empty would solve this problem.

    I really hope for some new ores, all kinds of ores like in some of the FEED THE BEAST packs would be cool, I love mining and loads of new ores and rocks would be pretty sweet, especially marble!

    posted a message on What's your current stance of the Beacon? How to improve it?
    Well, some changes to help the beacon would be,

    1- The block used to power it wouldnt last forever, so the iron you used to activate it would last xx amount of time, each ore/ingot would last a certain amount of time based off which ore it was with Emerald lasting the longest.

    2 - Range of the Beacons would vary depending on which blocks where in the pyramid, Iron having the shortest range and Emerald having the biggest range with the others all in between.


    These 2 changes would really help flesh out the beacon from a technical standpoint.

    Hoping they majorly re-balance this, anything over 1 emerald for anything leather is way too much lol. Other items such as clocks and compasses are also grossly overpriced. Maybe make the farmer villager trade flowers of different types as well would be cool.

    This update murdered the modding community I'd say 9.7 out of 10 servers are modded and 7 out of those 9.7 most likely used bukkit. Thank the lord bukkit has intellgent people working at it unlike mojang who figured out the solution to their problems.

    Mojang didn't care about the modding community when they re-wrote huge parts of the code, they knew it would take months possibly for the modding community to catch up. They didn't care, why ? Because they don't care about you, they only care about new players that will buy the game and play single player.
    They are not Obligated to provide "free Content" after we bought the game. Ever heard of PAID DLC? Yeah thats how most games roll. You could be charged an additional 2-3 bucks each update, whining will get you nowhere in life.

    Have you linked your accounts? I couldnt do it at first because I hadnt linked my accounts. Also You will still have to play around with the settings as my sound was horrible at first (Major Echo). but now it seems to be ok. Hope you all get this fixed soon.

    I feel last update they opened the door for Fish swim (Like squid). I would bet on some new mobs next update as well, giraffe,elephant,gator or crocs,and sharks to be exact. Bears and snakes and deer would be cool too. Never have enough wildlife

    Well, I dont like the fact that once its gone, its gone. It should spread but maybe only spread to dirt blocks in a mega Tiaga. So it wont spread to dirt blocks in any other Biome. This would provide a good balance and keep the Mega Tiaga Biomes looking original. Currently you find these Biomes on the larger Multiplayer Biomes and they are barren with just dirt and trees. At least give the players a way to reclaim the Biome.
