My Minecraft world (Nicknamed Pandora) is expanding greatly. Almost too much... Anyways my question is. If your world gets to a certain file size (lets say... 300 MB) would that delete any of the world I have built? First real answer will receive a made by
Oh man.. I had so many mistakes I can't even remember. Well, one that I regret the most?
On my first/second day of playing MineCraft I couldn't find any cave entrances so I decided to dig deep down till I dropped to a random cave. (I was on Peaceful mode, luckily, sorta) I dropped down, ventured far, found plenty of gold, iron and diamonds and was stopped to a halt because of lava. I didn't want to turn back because I was curious if I could find more stuff so I built a bridge over the lava. Next thing you know, the game freezes and I reopen Minecraft literally PRAYING I wouldn't fall in the lava.
Guess what?
I fell in the lava. My stuff was all burned in the lava too.
This is exactly what happened to me. Not only did I loose all of my ore and what not... I also lost my Compass and clock! Next time I go down... I'm leaving that stuff behind.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a graphics card that can run Ubuntu with maximum video effects?
I have been thinking about a ATi Radon. I know Minecraft would run fine. If it runs fine on my low end Acer Aspire One. I think a Radon would work as well. I'm building a new PC and I would like the full Ubuntu experience on this computer. I just don't know any graphics cards that would work. I'm not the best when it comes to keeping up with graphics cards. If anyone has some suggestions. Please let me know.
Thanks!
I agree with Pattoe
I have built a PC before its Model name is the KILL-AR. Its a computer made in mind for games and whatnots. It has a AMD Athlon II with 4GB's DDR3 1333 Ram. It also has a Nividia nForce GPU with a 1TB Hard drive. Its a fairly basic gaming computer. Runs all my games that I play locally. Including Minecraft. It has Microsoft windows 7. It also has a cherry red case with brush black metal on the back. The price was 575 dollars.
But sometime this year I will start building another one its model name is the FRAG-AR. I know for sure it will feature a Phenom instead of a Athlon. It will have a slightly better graphics card. It will have a 500 or a 1TB hard drive. And will run Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal. The projected price is around 370 dollars.
I build these two on a budget. Its certainly better than using the intergreated graphics card, no?
I'm new to this forum as well as the game... Minecraft! But for being the resource of useless knowledge. I decided to look up Mojang AB on Wikipedia. This is what I get..
Can anyone confirm this? I know it wouldn't be that hard (Because Minecraft is already programed as a JAR)
