My suggestion for Minecraft would be that during thunderstorms, tall metal objects, such as a tower of Iron, Gold, Diamond, or Emerald blocks, have a higher chance of being struck by lightning. This would increase the risk of building such things, and also may add purpose for a block that converts lightning into Redstone power? A lightning rod? Please tell me what you think.
EDIT: People have pointed out that Emerald and Diamond aren't palpable conductors of electricity, however I wanted to have new people who come to the thread understand the argument so that they could contribute. I do not think that the Emerald and Diamond would be useful, as they are too rare and expensive to use for a lightning attracting purpose.
