Sounds like a legitimate and viable idea. Do you have any plugin-making knowledge yourself that you could use to create a Cedric-tweaking plugin?

Personally, I don't; but the main focus here is being able to balance Cedric so that the stock minecraft gameplay is the first priority. I think that one of the primary tweaks would be reducing the crafting cost from 5 diamond blocks to 1 diamond blocks, 4 gold blocks, and 2 blaze rods. It doesn't make sense to make it too expensive since having it so late-game would defeat the purpose; by the time you have so many diamonds, you don't even need it anyways.

What kind of tweaks do you think should be made to the Cedric item to properly balance it for Minecraft Survival, while keeping it enjoyable for Hunger Games?

Honestly, I haven't really considered Cedric in other community gamemodes. If it's implemented well, plugin coders would have the potential to add their own balancing code for Cedric and would facilitate his addition into Hunger Games.

Honestly, I think this is a suggestion that has been necessary to discuss for a long time. I agree with the main concept, but It definitely needs more tweaks in order to be balanced. Good suggestion though, I definitely support as long as it's properly balanced and well-thought out.

Hi, I love this mod, its awesome and what not, but I came across a bug thing ? or maybe me being an idiot... So basically the thing is that, when I try to create a rocket tier 2-3 like it shows a recipe in not enough items mod , it does not let me craft it.. Same with tier 3 rocket and probably others too...

You need to put in the Tier 1 rocket into the purple slot, i think.

It's good, but i'm having one problem with it. I'm using the ore generation option provided in the config, and I cannot get the ore to generate on any of the planets/moons that are not listed in the examples in the config. (the config only lists /ONLYMOON or /ONLYMARS, /ONLYPHOBOS, /ONLYDEIMOS, /ONLYEUROPA, /ONLYIO, /ONLYENCELADUS, /ONLYVENUS, /ONLYMERCURY, /ONLYCERES, and those are the only planets that custom ores can generate on). This is with the latest version of the mod.

posted a message on (New Thread) Singleplayer internal server lagging when steam is open
    Quote from gerbil»

I have seen steam cause large CPU and disk loads on my son's computer at times. Using the windows Resource Monitor it could be seen that steam was doing some kind of scan / update of everything it had installed into the library, and this also cause the antivirus to be extremely active at the same time because it needed to scan / check all the files that steam was accessing.

Thank you very much for your time, but I think I have finally solved this issue. My laptop is an ASUS, and it had ROG Game First III on it. Basically it controls application's internet use. For some reason, it automatically set steam to a higher level than javaw.exe and that was screwing it up. Disabling Game First seems to have solved this.

posted a message on (New Thread) Singleplayer internal server lagging when steam is open

For some reason, my game worked fine while steam was open yesterday. Today, the issue came right back. I tried retracing all the variables possible that could result in the issue disappearing, but nothing really made a difference. I have tried restarting my computer. Still need help with this issue unfortunately.

By the way, I'm using windows 8.1.

Well, I have tried every single RAM size I could think of, and also tried a couple different custom launchers that I had on hand (MultiMC and the Magic launcher) and nothing has worked so far. I'm not sure if anyone else has this issue. I may be the only one to have this problem.

Well, I just discovered something new. This issue also happens if the Battle.net launcher is open. So far only steam and the Battle.net launcher cause this, But this is confusing because these launcher are completely different.

EDIT: This also happens on the latest snapshot (15w43c)

posted a message on (New Thread) Singleplayer internal server lagging when steam is open

When I have steam open (and by this I mean the steam processes running), I get internal server lag. Obviously this is only in singleplayer. And just to clarify, my FPS is fine, and my RAM usage is normal. Allocating more would not help, nor lowering video settings. And by internal server lag, I mean mobs skipping around, chests taking longer to open, item drop being delayed, block sound delayed, etc. This would indicate that the internal server is NOT in sync with the client. If I close steam, the problem is solved. However, it is very annoying to have to close/reopen steam. My specs are:

    - 32GB RAM

    - Intel i7 4870HQ

    - GTX 980m

    - Minecraft running on SSD, along with steam

Any help would be extremely helpful as this problem is extremely annoying. Also, this does not happen every day. This will happen on some days, and will not on others. On the days that it DOES happen, restarting my computer/restarting steam does nothing to solve it.

Obviously this is an uncommon issue, but I'd still like some help with it, as every single other game I have runs fine except for singleplayer MC.

    Thanks

Well, it seems that I'm getting this issue even on the latest snapshot (15w41b). My question now is that is this issue ever going to be fixed? Would be a shame if they did not do anything

Ok, a bit of an explanation here. Because we're mixing terms.

What you're eperiencing in multiplayer would be caused by connection issues.

In singleplayer we call it "block lag". Which happens when the client part of the game gets out of sync with the internal server. Usually caused by issues with CPU or RAM access.

Has absolutely nothing to do with network/connection "lag" i.e. latency.

Thank you for explaining. But what would make steam "incompatible" with it? My older computer didn't have this issue, and the specs were significantly worse.
