For some reason, default MC clouds ignore depth testing whenever they're writing to any framebuffer other than gcolor (the main buffer). But only if you're below them. If you happen to find a mountain taller than the clouds, they'll actually render normally if you're above y128-ish. I've tried testing the depth mask manually and discarding clouds that should be behind the terrain, but sampling the depth mask seems to return the depth of the clouds, instead of the terrain behind them. Which is weird, since the clouds aren't supposed to have finished rendering yet. In any case, I'm pretty sure this is a bug in either optifine or vanilla.
I've tried many things to get them to work right and the only thing that has worked so far is rendering directly to the main buffer, which is quite simply unacceptable for anything that's transparent. As mentioned in an above post, everything that gets rendered overwrites the light level of whatever happened to be behind it. So I have 2 options here: use the cloud brightness to modify the terrain behind it, or ignore cloud brightness and let the terrain behind it take priority. If I go with option 1, clouds will apply a full bright effect to anything behind them, and if I go with option 2, all shadows in the world (including things like tree shadows) will darken clouds in front of them. Neither of these are acceptable in my opinion, which is why I play with clouds disabled.
If optifine ever fixes this, I already have code to support them natively. Still, I should probably report this on optifine's issue tracker. There's one already there about this but it was closed because "most shader packs don't support vanilla clouds anyway", which isn't the case here. I'll put together a simpler shader pack that demonstrates the issue with the least amount of code possible and maybe that'll get a better response.
This maybe hard to understand for me, but i can understand some of what you"ve said.
But if you'll look on Chocapic13's V6 Shaders, there is a file in it that's called gbuffers_clouds, and this file is the one supporting the MC Clouds in his versions from Lite to Medium. I don't think this is a bug with OptiFIne in my opinion, considering the some shaderpacks don't support MC Clouds, i'm with a group of Shader Devs & i can see most of them are removing support of the MC Clouds, but unlike CaptTatsu & DeDelner, they support it.
So in some cases, they just take it off maybe because they want to use their own clouds, or just use Custom Clouds, or whatever.
You need to make the ground with the wet effect when is raining, the torch lighting and glowstone in the hand, and this shader it's complete.
This ultra shaderpack is running in my pc pretty well more than 40 fps and I can't believe it lol because I tried other shaderpacks with less quality and were at 20 fps or 30.
Also I like the diagonal rain when it's raining, I was bored always raining from up in straight line
Just enable Dynamic Handlight if you're using OptiFine.
Hey, thanks for your reply. What version of the Shaderpack and Minecraft are you running? Can you reply me the Launcher Log to see the causes of the error? Thank you.
The cause of this error is because on composite.fsh, #version 130 was used, since MACs can't go higher than #version 120, it's broken.
But changing #version 130 to #version 120 on composite.fsh, that error should be fix.
NOTE:
I know these comments are old, but i wanted still to resolve the problem.
I don't really follow this thread for much more than to update my SEUS - which is amazing. And I don't know if this has been brought up before, so sorry if it's a repeat feedback.
But could you please, please avoid using the shady ad.fly service, please? I just had a scare on my computer as it consistently made more and more popup dialogs and refused to let me go through without disabling my adblock. When I did, a giant popup appeared with the typical, 'Your computer has a lot of viruses! Please download our cleanup tool!'
First of all, if you don't wanna pass through adf.ly links just to download the pack, search on the internet. There are some download links for SEUS
Second, what cleanup tool? are you spamming or what? just asking.
How can I re-enable the 1.53 dynamic light? The optifine's dynamic light flickers a bit and is darker then the 1.53 version, I like the old dynamic light system :/
He take it out. He already said in the past that the next update will no longer have Dynamic Handlights due to the fact that it's buggy on some cases.
Some shader packs have problems with translucent textures, another shader pack may work better near the world border.
The spectral arrow effect is not compatible with shaders, OptiFine uses a workaround which has the side effect of messing the skin. Not possible to fix.
Sadly, all shaderpacks have this issue, even if i use internal, the hand is still invisible.

I'd suggest you should avail all the versions that you've made

You give a screenshot, and an error log (in case there's an error saying on the chat). The specs is fine but no info, no one can help you.

Nice Shader Pack you got there!
It may not be popular, but it's one of the best Default Shaderpack that i've discovered in my opinion.
Now i took some screenies from my WIP village/map, it's not released.
Now i wanna ask one thing:
Can you add support for MC Clouds? right now, they're not working properly. If you'll look at the 4th photo, you'll understand what i mean.

Can you please provide your Operating System (Like Windows, MAC, Linux, etc.), Graphics Card, your MC version, and your error log.
NO one can help you here without providing these things.

Umm... That's a processor, what i mean is:
Operating System
-Windows
-MAC
-Linux
Please tell to me which one of these OS does your brother use in his computer

First question, what's your Operating System? Windows? MAC? Linux?
I feel like it's a MAC, if it's a MAC, they don't work with Chocapic13 V6 yet. Chocapic13 is still working on it, maybe V7 or V6.1 but who knows.

What graphics card do your brother's computer have?

Technically yes, since it uses a higher version of Chocapic13 V6 Shaders (High, Ultra & Extreme) which MC Clouds must be disabled.
1
Yes, they'll do their best.
