Listen, what did you edit, two lines? I could study Java and learn how to do that within a day, and start making simple mods like you do. Heck, I studied Java for 10 minutes and learned how to make a calculator. 10 more minutes and I could have made a random number generator. I would make some real mods, like IndustrialCraft, Mo' Creatures, and Millenaire before insulting people for calling your mod useless. Because it was pretty useless, all it was was one less gunpowder for the same TNT, so whats the difference? Killing 4000 creepers instead of 5000 to destroy a mountain?

For one thing, if you knew Java, you'd be starting out with something like this, just like he's doing with this mod right here. He stated he's just starting modding and you're flaming him simply because he made a simple mod, like pretty much every other modder did.

I say that the second you smoke them, a countdown timer starts until you die. It'd be somewhere around a Minecraft year or two. Each time you smoke one, it reduces the time by 85%. For the trade-off, the cigarettes would heal you by 10 hearts each use.
well, i think it would be an AMAZING mod IF it mined at diamond pace (maybe the gold edition idea)
and if it did not save/crash minecraft. it usually occurs when i right click to throw, then when i left click it says saving, then i get black screen.

But the point of it is that you spend so many resources on it so it would be unbreakable. You wouldn't have to expend anything else until you find something above the level that it's set at. If you had something diamond-pace, it'd be gamebreaking; You'd have all you needed right there.
Is there a crash log? If so, post that. That'll help with fixing the crash problem.
I disagree with all the legendaries right at the beginning of the mod. I suggest putting in more of the more common Pokemon, such as an Eevee which would evolve if exposed to a stone gotten during mining (Diamond would result in Glaceon, gold = Jolteon, redstone = Vaporeon, etc.). Also, it would instantly tame them and keep them from despawning, if not done so already.
Also: level-up system similar to that of Freakstritch's guinea pigs, but upon reaching a certain level, they evolve.
Liking this mod so far. Burnt down 2 of my houses already.
Maybe you could make a new part to this mod: Firestarter logs
Recipe would be a regular log (not planks) surrounded by sulphur. It could be started by striking flint against it (would result in a loss of 1 flint) or by lighter. Fire would spread to other things much quicker.
Could you also add a way to craft leaf blocks? That would be even better for building the tree houses. Maybe a recipe like so, from either sticks or saplings like so:

Model for compressed ice would look like either a clear-ish diamond with a white tint and no lines or like a popsicle not on the stick.
Heals 3-5 hearts (whichever you seem fit).
