posted a message on Playing Minecraft in the Browser?
Hello, I remember a while back there was the option to play Minecraft in a web browser on the Minecraft website. For reasons that would take forever to explain, I can't play in in the client anymore. I was wondering if there was any way I could play the non-demo version on the web browser, so I could connect to multiplayer servers? Thanks for the help!

Yeah, I reinstalled Java. Then I tried downloading Minecraft.exe from the Minecraft website, and I get the same error message again. For some reason it seems that the old, corrupted files never left my computer, but when I try to access them, there's no way to manage or delete them.

Hello, I haven't played Minecraft in over 2 months because I get the following message every time I try to run the game:

"The registry refers to a nonexistent Java runtime environment installation or the runtime is corrupted. The system cannot find the path specified".

Before I last successfully opened the game, Java was having huge issues for me. I uninstalled it, but it was uninstalled incorrectly and it was a nightmare to fix and reinstall correctly. However, Minecraft was in the uninstalled version, and for whatever reason I can't play it anymore. If I try downloading the game from the website, I get the same message. Minecraft.exe doesn't exist on my computer, I can't find it in any folders. I have literally no idea what to do. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm open to trying anything.

It'd be too easy to get I think. Once you have 1 diamond pickaxe you can get infinite stronger obsidian pickaxes?

This is, actually, real... I tested it to prove him wrong, but at those co-ords with that seed, it is true. Strange stuff, but it's all randomly generated so its not notch's fault.

You're annoying. Just because you don't like something, you decide to hate on the company for it? Notch is allowed to have a life, buddy. Just because he isn't working on minecraft doesn't mean he should. He can have breaks, design other games, and do whatever he wants. No, I'm not a "notch fanboy", I'm a sensible person that understands that notch is human. He doesn't need to work 24/7 to tailor to your every need. Also, 1.8 is being delayed by 4 days. Is that really such a big deal? They want the game finished when they release it. Stop your trolling.

And since you hate him so much: :iapprove: :iapprove: :iapprove: :iapprove: :iapprove: :iapprove: :iapprove: :iapprove: :iapprove: :iapprove: :iapprove: :iapprove: :iapprove: :iapprove: :iapprove: :iapprove: :iapprove: :iapprove: :iapprove: :iapprove: :iapprove:

Thread is TL;DR but, Steam has competition that actually matters?

How is this even remotely long? You have the attention span of a goldfish I guess. And no, steam has no competition. Origin can see all your personal files, and steam has a daily sale. Why would it be competition?

    BLACK OPS DOES NOT SUCK
If you can't use it it no mean it sucks,I NEVER buy games for a tournament, but for relaxation
And face it,what's more relaxing than playing black ops with your friends on skype at night with a cold beer and redbull?
project reality is good too but i always get owned by taliban which is frustrating
damn it I cant play a singleplayer game without updating
I DONT WANT YOUR DAMN UPDATES

Normally I don't support arguing on my topics, but I agree that black ops is a terrible game. Cod just keeps getting worse and worse. Hence why I am not buying MW3 this fall. I've had every cod game on the release day since cod 3, and I own all the cods. This time, its gonna change. The cod community is childish, the gameplay is ruined by last stand, noob tubes, and overpowered killstreaks that encourage camping. Not to mention that MW3 looks almost identical to MW2, both graphically and gameplay-wise.

WOW... They're even more desperate than Activi$ion! Shame on you, EA. The Medal of Honor franchise is amazing, as are Command and Conquer and 007 Nighfire.
    EA, I am disappoint.

Yep. The thing is that they know BF3 will be really really popular. So they're using that against their players. The game's developers, DICE, are full of good people that listen to the community, and even protested the Origin requirement. But in the end, the money hungry EA wins. They see this as a "call of duty killer" so they need to pump as much into it as they can. The thing is that they pumped too much, and now their players are turning the game away.

Um, where did you even get this "quote" from? I've never seen it.

Edit: thats why when it comes to games like battlefield, I only get them on a console.

    Notch's personal blog. Right here.

Yep, he's talking about origin. Just by BF3 on disc if you don't want £A going through your files.

I bet if EA could, they'd sell you MineCraft through Origin, then steal it back off you and sell it back at an inflated price.

I am getting it on disc. But apparently its required that all Battlefield 3 accounts have Origin installed to play the game. Also, if you don't play for 3 years, your games are property of EA and are deleted from your account, so you need to buy them back again.

"So there’s no big argument, we just don’t want to limit what we can do with Minecraft. Also, Steam is awesome. Much more awesome than certain other digital distribution platforms that we would NOT want to release Minecraft on."

Anyone else thinking he's talking about Origin?

In case you didn't know, if you agree to Origin's terms and conditions, then you give them access to ALL files on your computer. Everything. And its mandatory for certain games, such as the upcoming battlefield 3 (WANT IT!).
