I was wondering how do i change some stuff on texture packs? for example, im currently using Johnsmiths v5 texture pack (32x32). i love it but i hate the mobs, logs, and inventory/crafting/smelting screens. i want to change them to something like a costom painterly pack. Any help on how to do this? Thanks!
Hey guys. i just wanted to know how do i make a fire place in a wooden house? the floors cobblestone, but the roof and most walls are wood. the roof is 3 blocks high. i want it in the side of a wall. Thanks!
Seeing as all the other posts are of people being dicks about the update, im doing the opposite. Thanks Notch! Minecraft is awesome. it takes up most of my time and is possibly the best game ive ever played. So the update has bugs. Get over it. They will be fixed within the week. I realy appreciate the work Notch has put into this.Thanks Notch!
Okay so before the update i saved in my house. theres running water and big trees near it (only about 15). worked fine. after the update i log in and LAG. 2 fps. i walk under ground and its fine. i even spawned a new world and it seems to be fine. still a little laggy but not 2 fps. is it my house? ive still got to test my other house in a forest. It'l probbably freeze.
i know this insnt an ingame creeper, er creature, but elf. i build my houses to work with the forest. i plant all trees i chop down and i build on or under big trees. plus my skin is Link and he has elf ears.
When i heard this was going to happen in the halloween update i hated it. but he said that any torches, placed or unplaced would be turned into a lantern. i just filled up a double chest of torches. Easy!
I like to think my house is looks quite good, although it isn't anywhere near comparable to some of the other buildings that've been shown.

My rooftop relaxation area, complete with glass gazebo. I'd like to add to it, but I'm not entirely sure what with.
And this is my back garden. I really want to do something to it, like add a large patio area, but I'm not sure what else (I also thought of a shed) would suit my house.
