Hello Minecraft Forum!
Lexy & I are looking for ideas for mods for a new Minecraft Series we want to start. We looked at some mod packs but most are to confusing for us. We are semi new to the game so we dont want anything to advanced. We were hoping for stuff like Mo'Creatures and perhaps maybe other fun mods like it.
We want ones to add new times of ores+wepons/armor for those ores. New mobs/world bosses. And if there is a storyline that would be awesome.
We thought we would try something new and record some us playing a mini-game.

Oh that's fine, I'll explain it quickly. Snapshots are the weekly pre-releases for the upcoming update. All of them are pretty stable but I would avoid loading up any worlds you had from 1.7 while using a snapshot. (It can delete all items in your chests) Right now the snapshots are for the 1.8 update. To download a snapshot you just load up minecraft and in the bottom left corner you will see profiles.
Click new profile and a small window will pop up. Name it whatever you want. (ex: Snapshot)
Then find the version selection section. Click show Experimental versions (Snapshots)
Then below you can select the version. Select any snapshot that is or later than 14w25b. (ex: 14w26c, 14w27b, 14w30c, 14w32a) I'd personally recommend choosing 14w30c or higher as this is the snapshot that fixes the Fps and gives much greater performance.
Then simply press save profile and you are done. Just select it in the profile's section if it doesn't already.
Also you may need to setup a server if you're not doing it over LAN. To get the snapshot version of a server just Google the snapshot version plus server .jar. If you have set up a server before you will probably know the rest. Otherwise you could just do LAN. If you need any more help on getting the snapshots and getting stuff working just let me know. I'd be glad to help.
Anyways enjoy the map! It is fairly difficult and quite considerate if you do any face-palm moments. But it can also be very very cruel.

Feel free to try out my Adventure map that's been out for just under 3 months and already has over 7000 downloads. The map takes a little over 2 hours and has a fairly intricate storyline to it. It's called Exodus Season 1: Zombie Apocalypse. The basic plot is that up to 4 players have been selected to take part in a Live Competition TV show called Exodus. Players will be put into a different situation each season and will be forced to work together to escape the given situation. Along the way the audience will vote on their favorite and least favorite players. Rewards and penalties will be given! Those who make it to the end will receive the grand prize of 1 million emeralds and the title of Exodus!

This map uses features from the 1.8 snapshots and requires version 14w25b or higher. The map is pretty long but provides a unique experience rarely found in other maps. It may be longer than what you are looking for, but I assure you, the experience is worth it.

Sounds awesome and 2 hours is not to long at all. Sound like this will be very entertaining to watch a couple and two friends play this map. Just im kind of noob and dont know what u mean by minecraft snapshot or 14w25b

My Girlfriend and I started making videos on Youtube again. We left off last year with around 700 Subscribers in the timeframe of 1 Month.
Since then we have lost just around 120 subscribers. But we are determined to make in back into Youtube and become the next best channel.
Currently we have one video uploaded since we came back. This is an adventure map series we thought we would do.
