posted a message on "Better than Adventure!" for Beta 1.7.3 - Timely updates revolving around the theme of "Minecraft without the adventure update"

I'm having issues with my controller. When I click controller setup, it doesn't show up. Ingame both sticks and the d-pad control the camera, and I can't open my inventory, build or attack. Using Dualshock 4. Edit: I fixed it using DS4windows

posted a message on Should we go back to named updates?

What I mean is the update being named when it's announced, rather than later along the line once most features are ready.

posted a message on Do you guys think modern Minecraft sucks? I feel like the game is overly populated with structures and also lacks personality.

I like modern Minecraft, there's a couple changes I'd make but it's still good. The amount of villages I see while exploring is insane though, I'd like that to be toned down. It's like every single structure now has to have some big awesome feature. Tbh some more small ambient structures like ruined houses or wells around, more interesting than 20 villages in a row.

posted a message on Copper Door Idea

Yeah it's supposed to be a "Redstone and combat" update or whatever they called it. Breeze is just a blaze but with wind instead of fire. No combat stuff yet.

Idk why they're adding it and we don't know if it does anything special yet. There are also copper light blocks that get duller as they oxidize, and some kind of copper grate block and copper trapdoors that are affected by the new breeze mob's wind attacks.

posted a message on Copper Door Idea

My dude, Copper doors are already confirmed for 1.21. This suggestion is just an add-on to that feature. I agree with what you've said about Mojang developing new features while older ones suffer from power creep and issues with them are not fixed but it's already being developed so...

posted a message on Copper Door Idea

It's a door which can be "Unlocked" using an axe, could be useful in adventure maps. It's not like many of the doors have additional uses like iron, It could also be unbreakable by zombies but openable by hand in unwaxed form as well.

You can just wax it to stop it from aging.

Pretty cool idea, I don't see any reason to not add it.

posted a message on Thoughts on the new features seen on Minecraft live?

I personally think the Auto-Crafter is a good step in the right direction, especially for Redstone people. But as someone who likes exploration and adventuring, I'd like to see less mobs that are tied to a single structure, the Breeze looks cool, but I'm kind of disappointed it's locked to one place only. The new spawners will be awesome though!

posted a message on Is Minecraft dying? Actually, it would've rather died all these years ago.

Again, Mojang made an in game API bedrock version, yes it is more convenient, but you have to pay for it. Obviously this does help the creators of the mods earn money (If Microsoft even gives them a fair cut) but the API is much more limited, you have to mess with the files to play mods on worlds other than the one provided with the mod, which defeats the purpose of a convenient in-game mod API.

I don't see much point in complaining about recent updates and how Minecraft has lost it's feel when older versions are literally provided in the launcher to play. If you want Mojang to stop updating the game, then don't update your game!

On your point about modding API's, I don't see how an API from the developers that you keep framing as incompetent will be any better than the community made ones at this point. In fact, said official API already exists on the bedrock version, and is essentially locked behind becoming a partner with Mojang and has major limitations while Microsoft monetizes the hell out of it. (not to mention the fact that they were censoring LGBTQ+ content for a while) If you want to actually start a conversation about Mojang's sleazy business practices, I would talk about that instead of complaining about how they didn't take the game in the direction you wanted.
