posted a message on Mammoths! Ride into battle! Now with more concept art!
Well, the colors of the mammoth, if implemented, could just be random with a 50% chance of the offspring inheriting the parent's hair color. The biome could be just a bit rarer, and allow cows to spawn in.

That is all I think should be added, and if so, full support!

I've always thought that the regular stone was limestone; after all, where did all of those caves come from (IRL most caves form in limestone).

True. Also, almost all ores, if not all, in the game, come from sedimentary rocks. If limestone were to be added, it could probably take over "stone". If it did, we could still have ores for different rock types.

On on the topic of vases, those could be made out of stained clay, and vary in color.

Such would make make the list of stones in minecraft this- limestone, sandstone, red sandstone, obsidian, granite, diorite, andesite, prismarine, flint, bedrock, netherrack, and end stone.

On that topic, would it be too hard to suggest potential flint blocks, crafted from either 9 flint or 4 gravel in a square?

posted a message on Oceans - Items, Mobs, and Generated Structures
Back before 1.8 I had thought of adding sponge block reefs, similar to coral reefs. Now that we have sea temples, those wouldn't be as necessary.

A cool idea might be to add some sort of coral reef, with sponge entities (because everyone forgets sponges are living animals), corals based off of real corals, like stag horn, pillar, brain, star coral, sea fans, etc. Also, the addition of seagrasses wouldn't be bad. Instead of flowers, anemones could be Added, but like their real counterparts, would sting. When mined, there is a 25% chance you will get a clownfish with it.

As for mobs, animals like manatees or seaturtles could eat the seagrass like sheep, and giant crabs, Sharks, or sea scorpions could be nocturnal predators that hunt both animals and unlucky swimmers. We need to add calamari dropped from squids. I've been waiting for that since 1.2.
