As the title says...I'm searching for a specific tool.

I'm searching for a tool, that enables me to "draw" and "create" plans for minecraft.

    Example:

I wanna build a huge automated farm. All underground and different farms. I want to make a plan where I'm able to see how big each "hall" needs to be. Cause every farm will need it's own hall.

Of course I can do it in photoshop or paint. But I thought that there might be a tool which makes everything a bit easier.

I'd be really thankful if you could help me =)

I really miss /instantmine. Hope you are able to bring this command back in the next update =(

    But one little question:

Is the slash infront of every command really necessary? Makes every command a bit more annoying to type in =/

Thank you for the awesome house :D

here my work of your tut :)

    Beanmen.

    Looks really nice =)

    Quote from Chris7554

Really? Needs more colour and contrast , looking at a build only out of planks and slabs is not that nice ...

Well. It's supposed to be a starter house. Of course you could use normal wood to bring more contrast into the building.
But I hate using wood at the begining because in my opinion, it's a waste of ressources ;) At least at the beginning.

But thanks for the feedback =)

posted a message on [Tutorial] Easy-To-Build Starter House!
    Hello everyone...

Basically...Leostereo's easy-to-build mansion inspried me to do this.
His tutorial helped me a lot building my own mansion.
So I thought I'd do something like that. But probaly with something smaller.

And here you go. Here is my tutorial for a small but nice looking starter house =)

    Outside materials:

    wooden planks: 184
    stone slabs: 64
    glass: 9
    glass pane: 9
    glowstone: 1
    door: 2

    Interior materials:

    crafting table: 1
    furnace: 4
    chest: 2
    bed: 1
    bookshelf: 6
    wooden slabs: 14
    fence: 2
    pressure plate: 2

    Tutorial start

    Step 1:

We start off by digging out a 9x9 flat area. This is gonna be the size of our house.

    Step 2:

We fill out the whole 9x9 area with wooden planks.
Afterwards, we add our first layer to the building

    Step 3:

    Add second layer

    Step 4:

    Add third layer

    Step 5:

Add glass panes to fill out the open area. No....this is not a mistake. We only do that on one side of the building ;)

    Step 6:

We start doing the roof by simply placing stone slabs around the whole house like shown in the picture below.

    Step 7:

Same as step 6 but one layer above.
I used a dirt block to start building on this layer. Makes it a bit easier. Afterwards we're gonna dig it away.

    Step 8:

Finish off the roof by adding another layer of wooden planks.
Then fill out the rest with glass.

I like to put a glowstone in the middle of the roof because it lights out the whole building.
On this way you don't have to put ugly torches everywhere.

This is how it should look from the outside afterwards

    Interior Design

It is up to you how you design your interior.
But I'll give you some ideas by showing how I do my furniture on this building

I like to put bookshelves in the corner as they give a nice little contrast to all the wooden planks.
Two chests to store your stuff and a bed to sleep in

On the other side we have our nice little "kitchen" with a crafting table and four furnaces.
Place wooden slabs above to give the house some more details.
Put fences in the corner to give the whole thing some support

I also like to put another door at the other side which leads directly to my mine.
Two block to the left you can optionally dig down and build a bigger storage room beneath your house

I hope this tutorial helped you building your own little starter house.

Please leave some feedback in the comment section below. Every comment will help me improving future tutorials to make everything a bit easier for you.

Priorities are definitely important, and you are right, I don't have the same perspective as you, perhaps that makes me ignorant, perhaps it makes me more objective.

It shows you got your own opinions. Some people don't even have one anymore ;)

    Quote from Schmoople

I don't know, maybe people do communicate and act differently, but I'll always prefer a face to face conversation over anything else.

And thats why I think it is important for kids to go out as often as they can.

I don't see how CoD has anything to do with the maturity of a nine year old, someone getting upset at a loss in football and screaming at their teammates isn't so different from someone screaming at a TV at a death in CoD, at least in my opinion.

It's hard to tell because you don't really have a direct comparison.

But I think that someone who rarely goes outside with his friends, acts a lot more different than someone who goes outside every day.
The way the kids communicate with older people. Or the decency in every day life.

I've seen kids not doing their homework because they needed to reach the next prestige before their friends. I mean...WTF?!

But yeah. Thats just my point of view. Good thing humanity still has many different opinions =D

Writing english on a german computer and getting told that every single word you type is wrong-_-'

And of course almost everything on those lists above.
Especially people who are disrespectful to other people because they are in trouble, have less money or whatsoever.
    Everyone deserves respect...

There have always been bullies and people that are unkind to others. And I don't see why playing online with friends is sad, it's sad when children are obese, but not when they just wat to have some relaxing time with their friends.

Of course. But theres a huge difference whether you go outside with your friends or play online together.
It changes your whole personality ;)

I'm not speaking about age 0-18. But like...8-12.
I mean...there are even 9 year old kids playing CoD together. Screaming around the whole game because they get mad...

When you hate everyone you can't show favoritism to yourself. Don't lose faith in humanity because of people on the internet, especially on YouTube.

But his post is truth in some parts.

I'm 17 now and I remember when I was younger, I respected the people around me. Especially the juveniles who were in the age I am today.
But now if I'm walking down the street and there are 2-3 10-12 years old they are trying to make fun of you and other people.
Not that I would care. But it's just so disrespectful.

But we'll see in the future. In my opinion there will be a big change between the 90s and 2000 generation.
Cause most of all 90s kids have grown up without the internet. I remember playing football everyday when I was a kid.
I went outside whenever I could until my mom called me back in.
But now if I hear kids in our school meeting up to play online after school...kinda sad if you ask me.
Of course I'm not telling everyone is or will be like that. But it tends that way =/

It hasn't happened yet and will not happen for a while (I'm not saying never) because Mojang signed an exclusivity contract. This means it is the only console allowed to distribute the game.

That is the main reason why Minecraft won't hit the PS3 anytime soon.

Also Sony just doesn't wanna pay any money for exclusive content. That's why there are so many Xbox exclusive games.
A lot of DLCs hit the Xbox before PS3 aswell. Such as the Call of Duty Mappacks ;)

posted a message on How would you describe Minecraft to get your friends to buy it.
Me and my friend wanted to do a "game-night" during our summer holidays.
In the middle of the night we were bored of playing Battlefield and FIFA so I thought it was the perfect time to show Minecraft to him.

Well...let's just say. I didn't get to use the computer again until the next morning =D

Maybe you can just play with him for a bit during a free afternoon or something. I'm sure he'll love it as much as we all do ;)
