Undead+ is a mod that adds many new mobs, as well as items to your boring Minecraft world. Most of the mobs added are zombies but also adds a wide variety of scary mobs. This has been a W.i.P for a few
months, and is almost complete.
Undead+ for 1.4.7 is available here. This is a mob-only test version that does no include the dimension. We are working on a few game-breaking bug involved with the dimension and will try to have a full version with many changes available soon.
"Survivor" Is still a WIP and will crash the game if used.
The installation is different than previous versions.
1.) Once you successfully install forge, run Minecraft.
2.) Exit Minecraft and open your .Minecraft
3.) Then extract the contents of the zip (undeadPlusAudio and UndeadPlus V0.9.8.zip) to the mods folder.
A dropbox download is available Link Removed.

I know there has probably been a billion shield mod requests, but just hear me out. My idea is that the shield mod isn't just something to add extra armor. A player should be able to equip a shield in the off hand and a sword in the other, the shield will add extra armor and will also be used for blocking.
So instead of blocking with the sword, the player will block with the shield which will absorb ALL damage instead of half. However, blocking will still slow down the player so it doesn't get too overpowered. The shield would be placed in an extra armor slot.
The shield would be crafted out of wood, stone, gold, iron, and diamond.
I would also like to suggest a quiver which would be used for the storage of arrows. The quiver would be placed in the same extra armor slot that the shield would go in, again to prevent the mod becoming too overpowered. The quiver would be a place to store arrows (the inventory could be accessed by pressing Enter) if the quiver is equipped, bows have a faster drawback speed and a slightly longer range.
The quiver would be crafted out of leather.
Edit: Due to the addition of bow enchantments to Minecraft, the quiver is now virtually pointless. Now the quiver should enhance bow enchantments, and make them more durable, as well as providing a slight boost to range and drawback. And of course, storage.
Shields would also be enchant-able, the enchantments being the same that are used for armor. An example would be a shield enchanted with Blast Protection II would absorb all of the damage from an explosion.
Note: Don't forget to +1!
Another Note: If any information is out-dated please feel free to tell me in the comments.
Hello everyone! I found a new texture pack that I really liked, which was really good for gothic textures.
Link here: link
After messing around with the texture, and looking at some photos online, I decided to try out my hand on a large Cathedral. The entrances are loosely based off of notre dame, and then after that I took artistic lisence.
That is the first entrance (yes I built it on flat-world since I am lazy) this is also the only entrance I planned out before I built it. After I built the entrance, I began building the walls. After one or two mixups(causing the necessity to bulldoze the walls) I got a design I mostly liked and began building it out.
here you see the walls going up, and taking form.
Next, I needed a secondary entrance design. After messing around with some more photos for ideas, I built this:
note that the walls and roof were not put on until afterwards, but I don't have a screenshot of that :sad.gif:. Also, from this photo you can see that I copied the wall out and basically duplicated the first side. (since it looked good and I am not very creative. However, there are a few minor changes to the design, just for fun)
Finally, I created a nice(ish) looking roof. This was after quite alot of building, and since I was building by hand, I was pretty tired. I am, however, fairly happy with the result.
Now I have the entire outside finished. The next step is to put a floor into the cathedral(as I was building on flatworld I had neglected to do so) It took a while, and I wont bore you with screenshots of it. Finally, it comes time to build the interior. I was a little stuck, since I wasn't sure how the inside of a gothic cathedral should look, but I finally came up with this result:
Finished!!! The entire building part took about three days total I beleive. Now, since I appreciate the beauty of natural landscapes, I transported it to my main world. Here it is, the final version:
I know this has been brought up before, but the other suggestions are very complicated and different from this, and I think parrying should be replaced.
There would be 4 types of shields: wooden, iron, gold, and diamond. They would have durability based on the materials, gold being the weakest and diamond the strongest. All but diamond would take considerable damage from fire, and wooden would burn in fire. Fire resistance and durability enchantments could be added (I really don't care for enchanting though). You right click with a sword to put up the shield, which would absorb 100% of the damage that hits the shield. You do not carry the shield with you at any time, but you only have it when you are putting it up; this would be less realistic but simpler and less overpowered. Arrows that hit the shield go into your inventory (?).
Lastly, you can change your shield's color with dyes. I'm still not sure about what shape the shield should be, either a circle or a Link shield shape.
No dual wielding or always-equipped shields that slow you down. Just keeping it simple.
And you can't collect skeleton arrows when they shoot the ground, so what makes you think you should collect them when they hit your shield?
Prepare to be trolled by a bunch of public schooled atheists that have no idea what they're actually talking about because its just been shoved in their minds by the government
