posted a message on Any Guitar gurus out here?
I got a guitar a few months back, and I'm planning to restring.

Heres the problem, I don't really know what are the "good brands" and "bad brands" for the strings. I went to the shop the other day and there were so many to look at, and the shop-helper knows nothing about guitars. T.T

I heard that Elixirs were good, but the price tag was kinda ridiculous.. So is there any guitar pro here can recommend me some decent brands to select from that aren't so expensive?

PS: I'm using an acoustic, and I prefer "bright" strings.

posted a message on Warcraft 3 is disapointing
I haven't touched WC3 for 7 months already! This game is really old anyway, and I don't see why walls are necessary in an RTS? The reasons why people still play it is still because of the custom maps like DotA (which I used to play on Garena :/) and Vampirism I guess. The AI for Warcraft isn't so demanding, it comes with practice. If you can defeat them when you set them to insane, then you'll be able to trash the ladder games on BNet.

Damn! I really wish I were you. Why don't you get Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate instead? Includes more things from Windows.

posted a message on why does apple use weird parts?
    Quote from Infired

Becuase Macs are meant for Movie Editing, Extreme Video Rendering etc.. That's why a lot of professional Video Edititors and Movie Makers use Macs..

This is why they have "weird" parts.

And yeah, only buy Macs if you intend on using such programes or if you're a video editor.
Macs were never meant to be for games (but Minecraft works :tongue.gif:) but just simple use. Personally, I use one just for some of my homework, projects and a bit of video editing so it suits my needs.

    Quote from Govna

Why? I don't get why everyone gets so pissed at profanity. It's just a ****ing word to express more distress than saying, "silly word". Grow up, and learn to talk to people that use it.

I just find it annoying, not that I get pissed or angry at people for using it. I only find vulgarities necessary (>.>) when someone really angers you and so on. I hope I didn't anger you in anyway! :/

Very interesting thought you have there. I'm really open to ideas about ghosts and all, and the possibility of them existing. Sadly, there's little or no evidence to back up claims of ghosts and spirits being present in this world.

I kinda hate how some people keep using vulgarities unnecessarily in their speech, I mean come on.. I can't really have a proper conversation with the people around me with someone swearing like a sailor in every sentence.

Ignore what everybody has said and suggested so far. Do whatever you want, how you want, and to hell with what anybody thinks is the best route for you to take, because most of them are talking out their ass anyway.

ditto. good luck with your game and don't give up! I hope I can play this anytime soon :wink.gif:

Try the Hypercam trial version or get Jing, they're very decent.

You can always get Fraps *cough* out of thin air, if you don't mind piracy and all.

Hmm, why don't you try asking your friends to help you burn the Ubuntu install disk? When I first burned mine I had no problems at all.
You can always request for a CD from Ubuntu if you do not mind the long wait, I got an extra disk in 3 weeks.

posted a message on Why does everyone use mediafire?
Depends on your location I guess. I usually get download speeds of at least 200kbps to 800kbps from Mediafire, and wait... there's pop ups in their site? I don't receive any at all.

posted a message on How are we different from machines?
Well, the only main difference between Humans and Machines is that we humans (well, most of us) have higher thought - innovation, creativity, imagination, you name it. We have free will, we are free to do whatever we want and think about anything. Our brains are a million times better than any machine out there, and most importantly is that we are adaptable.

Machines have none of that, though some of them are able to "think" and consider options, they will never be able to reach the standard of the human mind yet. They don't have free will, we control the machines with the plug.
