Well after all my trying I just cant get it to work. I even deleted my .minecraft file and started from scratch, following the directions very closely. But it remains vanilla minecraft. Any suggestions on what to do?

That's not really what I am looking for. Limitations on exploration? That wont work when updates come and people want new content which cant be found in your already generated area. But thanks for your interest! Btw still looking for someone to actually host the server so if you know how to host it just send me a message or reply here

As I said in my post, which is right above you since it seems you didnt read the whole thing, I am looking for just plain minecraft. No mods. No plugins. Just vanilla Minecraft. But thanks for your interest

Hello one and all! I am Tech_Junkie! I'm just looking for a few more people (1-3) to survive in a server with. The server will be vanilla minecraft with no mods or plugins or any crap like that. Just original minecraft I'm just looking for mature people to play with. Mature in both age and attitude. Sadly I cannot be the one to host the server because I just cant seem to make it work for some reason. It says the port is already in use or something along those lines. So you will have to either make the server or help me make it lol. We will most likely communicate through skype or teamspeak so have those at the ready! Hey, I'm Tech_Junkie, and I'm looking for a few people who are mature, fair players who would like to start up a server together. I have tried setting up one of my own many times but keep failing. It's the port-forwarding that gets me. I have tried youtube, portforward.com, and many other things to try and port forward but with no luck. So I need someone with a relatively powerful computer that won't lag the server and who knows how to port-forward and has had some experience running a server in the past. I would like this to be a Bukkit server so we can have plugins to make the game better. I would also like to start out small, with just a few people (3-6) to get stuff on the server setup and ready for its initial opening. And maybe we could do a few Lets Plays as well just for fun. I only want mature, understanding, and nice people to work with. No whiny little 13 year old crybaby who doesn't know what he is doing. At the bottom of this post I will put an application form for you to fill out so you can give me some info on the usual stuff. If you want to have a better chance at being chosen, then put fair at the beginning of your application to show that you actually read this post. Again, please be mature, but still a fun person to play online with. I would also prefer that you have Skype as well, better communication.
